Description: With the costly win on Geonosis the Rebel's defeated the ACA in their first engagement as a small galactic power. A tale of David versus Goliath playing out, and so to celebrate and reward key members of the invasion a pistol was coined in the workshops of the Alliance. One that went against the Rebel's more selectivist nature to present a more decorative and functional firearm.
The GV-45 or Geonosis Victory pistol is a rather standard .45 caliber pistol and functions as so. It's tough reliable and has enough stopping power to put a grown humanoid on their butt and keep them there. It's insides are durateel and function in practically any environment, it's easy to clean and take apart and just about anyone can learn how to take it apart and use it.
But that's where functionality ends and it's more frivolous nature begins. Nickel plated and engraved with various designs the pistol is rather shiny and makes a excellent gleam in the sunlight for snipers to pick you up on and tell you are an important person. An ivory plated pistol grip helps add in it's fancy esthetic and pulls the whole piece together.
While it may be a shiny piece of metal and bone this weapon is a deadly beauty that will perform and help keep you safe. It is a reminder that danger still exists in the galaxy and the lives that were lost on geonosis. It's a symbol that the rebellion can hold their ground even when the metal monsters of the galaxy knock on the front door.
