Description: The Corsair Q-boat is a heavily modified GR-75 freighter used for commerce raiding and piracy. Sometimes referred to as a reverse Q the vessel since it operates as a raider not a protector in most cases. These ships operate independently at first by either bait or infiltration duties.

As bait the ship will send out a request for assistance and faint some sort of problem to fool scanners trick them into approaching to render aid. Often times a secondary reactor is installed and rigged to output radiation to fool targets into believing they are in danger of a reactor breach and need aid. Once the target vessels move into range the ship lowers its sensor deflecting gun ports and the large deck cannons will extend out and fire on the approaching target. with their ion cannons and Mass drivers. Once disabled the ship will approach and lock onto the target vessel with their boarding harpoons and board the ship via extendable Boarding rings and umbilicus.

As an Infiltrator these ships often join convoys and travel along with them to a designated hyperlane junction where allied ships will be laying in wait. Once the convoy drops out of hyperspace the Reverse Q-boat will move into position and flank the convoy escort often times surprising them and putting the target in a crossfire situation with the allied vessels.

Heavy Deck Gun Weapons have been added to the vessel near the far flanks and can fire in a forward and flanking arcs, Warhead launchers have been installed on the forward hull anf can fire into the forward arc. The vessel has an internal magazine for the general purpose launchers which house a veriaty of warheads including Concussion Missiles, Proton Torpedoes, Plasma Torpedoes, Discord Missiles; Conner Net Missiles, Ball Bearing Missiles, Boarding Torpedoes, EM Torpedoes. Harpoon launcher turrets are positioned on the ventral hull and can fire in a full three hundred and sixty-degree arc. The vessels retain the original four dual laser cannons for anti-attack craft defense. Sensor masking gun ports hide these weapons from sensors untill they are lowered and the weapons deployed for attack.
