Private Guide to Not Impressing your old old old jedi master: Chronicles of tormenting Sor-Jan

Saff Saff

The resort world of SPira.. beautiful to the eye.. with crystal clear waters that shifted in color depending on how you were looking at them. WIth beaches that stretched in some cases as far as the eye could see... islands dotting the surface and ships... oh the different ships that went around and above the planet. Glistening with metal hulls that were able to withstand the storms when they came but would also be able to hold tens of millions of tourists who come to the planet. Noriko was moving among the crowds on the one beach... the smell of surf, sand and lotion... everyone was wearing suntan lotion. The jedi master herself was standing there with her swimsuit on and could feel her toes in the sand itself. Warmth spreading between her toes as she wriggled them. Her hair in a tight ponytail, her lightly golden skin showing a little brown from her exposure to the sun.

She loved it here and there was always something to do when she used her size to move around the crowds... fidning stone pavement as the beaches gave way to a boardwalk with food stalls... buildings showing plenty of choices... seats filled with people and the different smells of various foods from across the galaxy. If the waters and beaches could stretch forever in one direction.. when you turned around you have massive hotels. All of the people as she found a place to enjoy and lept up leaning against the stone arch to lean there... looking down and below at the others. "Always wonderful to come here... I wonder if the celestes are coming into port anytime soon" She said it to herself and looked down as some noticed her but she was a jedi for the most part... an offbrand one with her saber at the small of her back but a grin of friendliness on her face.

The beach was something Saffron was unaccustomed to. Spacefaring such as what she did saw her sent to the centers of worlds with sprawling cities or their lone spaceport deep in the jungle or high in the mountains where their cities sat. Few worlds had such luscious, gold and blue beaches to their name, fewer still had beaches at all. However, it was hard to admire the true splendor of a beach when she found herself parked on the edge of a quay, muscular legs overhanging as she watched the crowds shift just as the waves did. There was a subtle beauty to the pattern of movement the multitudes of vacationers took to. Perhaps at the end of this job, she would find herself free of contractual work and able to actually feel what beach water was like as it rushed over sand-caked feet.

Below she watched over food stalls and street vendors alike - her writ was simple, Keep the mischief to a minimum. It wasn't as if they paid her a premium for the job, so her effort matched the wording - minimal. Thus while the rest of the hired security staff milled about, hands clasped behind backs and stern looks on faces, she let her legs dangle and her smile sit wide. She would at the very least enjoy the view from above. Assuming that view remained untarnished by the common problems on a resort world - a rogue bounty hunter getting a bit too violent, or beach-goers a little too drunk. Nothing someone of her size would fail to handle, but enough of a worry that several others had been hired to aid the rogue Jedi.

"Would love to say it's wonderful to be here," she mumbled, snatching the eyes of one of the ambling security guards. She glanced back, her lone eye observing him for a second, "but how do you deal with the boredom?" The guard shook his head and simply continued on.

Noriko continued to look out at the ocean and stretched her arms. The resorts looked imposing to some.. they were massive hulks of stone and glass.... sometimes but she had grown up with much of it and looked where she was before dropping down when it was clear she wouldn't be able to land on anyone. Crouching for the moment and rising up to just walk back itno the crowd as she was heading towards the buildings. THey were also great places to eat and check out random symposiums about well everything... they charged for the space... people rented it out to hold conventions and classes and lectures to try and teach the secrets to galactic property management within an hour... all of it very professional and important. The jedi master allowed the force to block out and filter down the echoing noises when she was just outside the one of the different people talking as she looked around going towards some of the sighs to see what they were having.

Her boredom seemed to feel endless for but a short moment, the endless drag of time weighing on her as she sat and watched and waited. Then, like a small prick on the back of her neck, her gaze flickered over the crowds, something pulled at the force, as if they were borrowing but a mote of its attention to do something. Saffron's senses were hardly overly attuned to such things, but in a world where everyone seemed to either be a business tycoon, or a gang leader, the force was rarely in use.

So, taking the hint from whatever providence oversaw her existence, Saffron pulled herself to her feet and waved to one of the passing security guards before stepping over the ledge of the mezzanine, with a blast of the force to counteract the majority of the force of her fall. And like a well-trained hound, she closed her eyes and narrowed in on the sensation of another force user. It was a faint trail, like the scent of one particular meat beign cooked in an open food market. She could taste it in the air, but so many other sensations threatened to overwhelm her attention. Following it, she eventually came to find herself following a much smaller woman through the crowds, moving with remarkable ease. If anything, she was suddenly invested in finding out how she made her way through such dense collections of people without worry. Saffron couldn't deny the tingle of anxiety that spiked up as she contemplated following deeper.

Just try to do your job, she told herself.

Noriko felt it a whisper on the wind... a tingling on the back of her neck as the small hairs raised up. She didn't look back but moved towards a small area with windows that she could uise to see around her without turning her head and a quick flick of the eyes... the sensation in the force of another force user around her when she looked at the one who stood out.. tall, distinctive with her one eye. The hair was also a thing and Noriko moved quickly weaving into a larger crowd and using her smaller size to go under a few of the tourists weaving around them to try and sneak behind the one... she wanted to surprise her and figure out who or what she was... and why she was following her.

She felt the woman disappear more than she saw her vanish. Her small instinctual jab no longer nudging the back of her neck, beckoning her attention. Instead the emptiness prompted a more suspicious moment from Saffron, whoever had just fled from her seemed to have realised she was watching, the much smaller person having withered back into the sea of others. Realizing her chance to stalk was somewhat gone, she knew there was little she could do other than watch and wait, and so she did, closing her eyes and opening her mind to the full spectrum of the force. Stood upright and breathing slowly but surely, she spied in her mind's eye for the strange touch of the force she had felt moments earlier.

Come on, she thought, I just need something to do.

She felt the force brush against her mind and she welcomed it coming behind and speaking as she looked up from under the womans shoulder. "hello." She offered a smile of greeting and batted her eyes a little.... this woman was tall and muscled and oh those muscles... ah her thoughts blanked as she wondered what she had been thinking about doing beyond the whole surprise hello thing. Staying there but just out of that personal space invasion.. she was prepared for a great many things that they might be able to do. "I saw you following me... if you are interested in asking me out... I respond better to flowers over stalking."

Oh great, she thought, an idiot. Pretty, but still somewhat of a moron to her estimation. Letting her lone eye drift open, she stretched her arms to her side, easing out the tension built up from the wait. With a final nod she turned back to her surprise guest and perked a brow at the beach-going jedi.

"If it were stalking, I'd probably have tried to hide, or avoided it altogether - I mean, I don't particularly blend in," she said, arms reconvening at her torso, moving up and down to highlight the deep blue adorning her form, a far cry from the gold sand caking the entire strip of stalls. Clasping her hands together again she nodded to Noriko.

"What I'm following you for, is to figure out what you're doing."

Please be something other than for the beach,
she found herself thinking, the yearning for anything to do now gnawing at her mind.

She smiled and was looking at her... enjoying the look and stepping a little closer so she could speak and going up on her tippitoes. "Well what if I was to say I was looking for tall, muscled women who can pin me down and..." She trailed off. "Or something like that... I was curious about some of the things on the world and while the beaches are wonderful, the entertainment something... there is only so much one can do with the people." She said it while sstanding there though she backed up a little and offered a wink. "But if you aren't stalking me well then... I might be a little sad... might have to find a way to get back at you?"

Saffron looked the much smaller woman over and couldn't suppress a snorted chuckle. She was above and beyond the call of confidence. She was at least energetic, and she supposed that meant she was going to be a good change of pace.

"While all of that sounds wonderfully unique. I must decline for now, I'm on the clock... although," she said, voice in a lyrical tumble, "nothing says i cannot continue to keep an eye on you as my work." It was a piece of utter mental gymnastics, but it was worth a bit of lying to keep her mind from tumbling from her skull.

Saff Saff

She had to grin with that. "Well far be it from me to inturrupt your job.... if you need to follow me around and observe well." She said it and looked around. "Now where should I go and shop... I wonder." SHe said it and looked at some of the buildings offering a nod of her head. "Maybe a swimsuit for the beach or a rental craft for going out on the water." She tapped her chin and debated what to do... "Who knows.. so many options. the normal tourists avoid the reefs and caves... exploring down there you can find any number of things. Maybe go pearl diving or just swim around all naked in one of those lagoons... hmm though then I wouldn't need a suit. Maybe ditch the boat.. there is bound to be a private shuttle... could high dive off of it."

Listening to the woman ponder aloud was... odd. She was so carefree, and yet very clearly to her, a force sensitive who could tap into it. It was fascinating to her, beyond fascinating even. She was the type of person that Saffron couldn't help but want to investigate more, if at the very least to understand what her goal was here. Was it a relaxing day in the sun and sand? Or something more?

"Perhaps all of the options could be worth looking into. Have to cover all your bases," the larger woman mused aloud.

Saff Saff

All options... hmmm Noriko tapped her chin and nodded. "You're right... we well I should consider all options." She was thinking about it and started to walk away but motioned with her head turning back to look at Saff. "Come on if you want to get the best view should not have the crowd between you following me. Promise I'll add a little extra bounce." She said it with a wink but moved through the crowd weaving and careful to let Saff follow while she went towards a rental building to get watercraft and only stopped for a fruit bowl. The various things arranged within it while she used a small skewer to pierce and lift to eat.

So far, this seemed to be a good distraction, whatever it was about this woman, there was an allure of tantalising mystery that while she didn't feel the need to solve, she certainly felt compelled to know more of. There was an undeniable level of want to do something with her day though, so whatever might have had her thinking otherwise was thrown aside, and she followed, marching along behind the strange woman with a small bounce to her large steps.

"So, what brings you out here?" She asked, looking over the woman's shoulder to the bowl of fruits she had collected. They seemed nice with how she picked away at them.
