How Do I Advance In Rank As An NFU?
This is a quick reference guide to outline the general means of which you will increase your rank within the Galactic Republic Defense Force.
Section 1. What Rank Do I Start At?
- If you wish to start as an enlisted unit, you may choose any rank you like. (Rank Reference Here).
- If you wish to start as an officer, the highest rank you may start at as a new character is a Lieutenant.
- Special circumstances may warrant higher rank. This must be approved by the Grand Admiral or Supreme Commander.
- Characters transferring from other factions must apply to keep their rank. Threads will be reviewed and a decision made by the Grand Admiral or Supreme Commander.
- Complete character development threads. Keep a thread tracker on your character bio for easy reference in the future.
- Participate in invasions, dominions, and faction discussion.
- Be an active participant of daily discussions or events.
- Initiate RP in the Army/Navy boards, or in the Open RP section for the faction.
- Perform NFU missions with fellow writers.
- A member of the military with a rank of Admiral may submit your name for promotion to the Grand Admiral or Supreme Commander for review.
- You may submit your own request to the Grand Admiral or Supreme Commander for approval.
- If your promotion is denied, you will be given clear details as to why, and how to proceed to achieve your next rank.
- As long as you feel is necessary to warrant a promotion, or your superiors feel you are ready.
