SPECIAL FEATURES

• Strength Multiplication: The GSI Utility Arm is designed with a unique, and fairly simple purpose in mind - to provide the means through which one can heft and wield objects normally considered far too heavy to be carried by any average sentient. This renders the arm especially valuable in warehouse/industrial applications, as well as for military use.

STRENGTHS

• +Lightweight: The GSI Utility Arm platform is designed with an agrinium frame, granting it several benefits - chief among them being a very light weight.
• +Durable: With its agrinium frame and durasteel reinforcement, the GSI UA1 is a very durable cybernetic ‘arm’, capable of withstanding extreme conditions and loads. With a natural resistance to energy-based weapons, as well as enough durability to weather kinetic or blunt impacts, it would take intentional tampering or constant abuse to damage this piece of tech to any significant extent.
• +Strength Multiplication: (See special features) There are limits to the ‘strength multiplication’ feature of this product. Generally, the arm is rated to be able to handle upwards of 500 pounds (227kg) of weight before suffering undue stress and strain.

WEAKNESSES

• -Lightsaber Fodder: Although durability is what this platform is known for, durability against lightsabers is not part of that reputation. In fact, a lightsaber could cleave through this arm like a hot knife through butter.
• -Spartan: As is true with some of GDI’s more utilitarian products, the GSI UA1 is very spartan in design. While its simplicity can be seen as a boon in some ways, it should be noted that the UA1 lacks much by way of special functionality. What you see is definitively what you get.
• -Restrictive: The way in which this product functions is that it either attaches to a fixed surface, or to a hardpoint on your armor (likely near the back to allow the arm full range of motion without extending the object the arm is attached to out of reach of the user). In either case, the use of this product does restrict the freedom of movement of the user. Obviously, if the arm is deployed upon a fixed object, the item the arm is attached to can only be used/hoisted within a 2-meter radius of the base of the arm. If mounted on a hardpoint near the back of a suit of armor, the arm ‘wraps’ around the side of the wearer, constricting mobility for those accustomed to ducking/dodging out of the way.
