Grismont, Seat of Clan Arthmael

Intent: The castle of Grismont is the seat of the Arthmael clan, led by Gregor Arthmael. It is mostly to be used as a place for the clan's interactions on Midvinter.
Classification: Keep
Location: It is nestled in between the mountains in a very rocky terrain. A forest named Imrathel has grown around it and produces a major export of wood for the keep. Located on Midvinter.

Description: Grismont has many places common to a castle. On the outside it has only one front entrance, being the walkway that leads to the main gate in front of it. There is a secret back entrance that leads into the forest and training grounds for the local militia. On the immediate interior it has a courtyard that obtains two defensive towers, the stables as well as the blacksmith and many of the market and tradesmen. The interior contains many rooms, but the most important room is the Lord's seat room where Gregor makes all of his decisions.
The defences of Grismont are of the average technology that most Valkyri holds have at their disposal. The two towers provide longer range for archers to fire upon their enemies with, as well the towers are also used for watching the yards and to see approaching enemies. The walls rise high, but not high enough to avoid tall ladders and the like though the natural rocky terrain surrounding the castles helps slow this from happening. The wall is often garrisoned by archers who rain fire on their enemies and if desperate can have hot oil poured down the front to burn enemies. They also have a small castle garrison that they use for security.

Archers x20 - Armed with medieval era arrows and bows
Soldiers x 30 - Armoured soldiers with Steel shields armour and swords.
History: House Arthmael was founded in the mountains by a man named Ullr Arthmael who attained it as a reward for his service to the High King. The king at that time was under threat of being deposed by his half-brother, a man who had the sufficient backing to do so. Ullr prevented the man from becoming king when he entered his city and left with his head in his hands. In return for this favour, the High King awarded Ullr the jarldom of Grismont, a city that lay at the base of the mountains and had a port to it's other side and was surrounded on all sides by the forest.
