Name: Brutus 'the Tower' Mallear
Loyalties: Dual Monarchy of Panatha & Thule
Role: Grand General of the Royal Army

Development Threads: If needed.

Age: 50
Species: Epicanthix

Appearance: True to his nickname Brutus stands at an imposing seven feet tall weighing in at around three hundred pounds of pure muscle. As a former Blackblade Guardsman Brutus's body is forged in the white hot flames of battle and covered in scars from various wounds he's suffered over the course of his very long career. When outside of his armor Brutus has the outward appearance that someone has chiseled him out of a block of stone and then animated the statue that remained. Brutus's skin is pale from spending an immense amount of time in suits of armor and his face shows signs of age, black hair cut short to military regulation covers the top of his head.

One of the most infamous qualities about Brutus would be that he is almost always seen wearing an highly ornate and intimidating set of armor with insignia's most notably on the collar, markings on the shoulder that mark him as the Grand General. As one of the original Blackblade Guardsman whether set in his ways or based on preference, Brutus always wears his armor regardless of any situation he's in or walks into. There are very rare occasions that he can be seen without the armor on, and when it is off he is seen wearing an customized and ornate version of the Blackblade Guardsmen uniform. Brutus wears a black uniform with silver epaulets along with insignia's on his collar that both mark him as the Grand General complete with a sheet of metals on his left breast, a pair of matching black gloves, along with black and silver combat boots.

Personality: Brutus's personality is the product of his incredibly intensive training under the harsh and unforgiving doctrine of the Blackblade Guard, and the many years of service under his belt since the guards conception. Through the extensive conditioning process Brutus had all compassion and empathy removed. A man who is uncompromising, cruel, and an utterly ruthless soldier who is willing to commit the most heinous atrocities at the drop of a hat simply because the God-King and his heirs demand it.

Brutus has dedicated his life to the spreading of carnage and waging of war, destroying anyone who stands in the way of the God-King. Additionally he's equally spent just as much time serving as one of the bodyguards and protectors of the God-King willing to lay down his life to ensure that Kaine lives. Brutus has proved to be very intelligent, his extensive career as one of the highest ranking officers in the Blackblades showing how great a strategist he truly is.

In the time since his release from the Blackblade Guard Brutus has finally begun to define who he is as a person, his newfound freedom leading the Royal Army affording him such time. While he does perform his duty with every fabric of his being there's a part of him that misses the legion he called home for so long.

Force Sensitivity: Non-Force User

Weapon of Choice: Through his training Brutus has been trained in the use of a wide variety of weaponry ranging from nearly every form of blaster to vibro-weapons. But his favored weapon of choice is the ACS-205 Blackblade Modular Rifle.

Skills: Brutus possesses infantry training from his years of dedicated service as a Blackblade Guardsman. In those years of service he's seen their training doctrine change and at times helped work on these changes. Early on the Blackblades at one time acted as the personal bodyguards of Kaine and were trained in a number of necessary areas ranging from repulsorlift vehicle piloting & basic rudimentary maintenance to basic medical training all to help ensure the safety and survival of their Lord. Brutus is trained in a number of battlefield tactics as a highly experienced officer and excellent strategist.

Wealth: While in service the Blackblade Guardsman are not paid a salary but do have the right to pillage from any battlefields and conflicts they participate in, and over the years Brutus has collected a wide variety of such trinkets. Additionally now as the Grand General he also collects a salary befitting his position.

Combat Function: Brutus is a trained soldier with years of battlefield experience who can certainly hold his own in combat if he's required to take the field and fight. But one of his special gifts would be as a leader. He is an excellent strategist and battlefield commander who is able to weave the many different parts of a force from the infantry and special forces to armor into impressive combinations. Complete with a willingness to adapt as the situation in battle changes.

Notable Possessions:
  • ACS-205 Blackblade Modular Rifle
  • Standard issue Imperial Officer Blaster Pistol
  • 4 Frag Grenades
  • Various trinkets, trophies and such collected throughout his service in the Blackblade Guard
History: Brutus was born in the harsh city state of Prethia on Panatha, from an early age he and his family were very poor struggling to get by. When he was just a young teenager in order to make ends meet and survive Brutus was indentured as a gladiator in arena as gladiatorial fighting was a huge sport on Panatha. It was here that Brutus found his true calling as a trained warrior. He not only proved to excel as a gladiator but become one of the best quickly becoming the Champion of Prethia, and conquering the other city states own champions after. After several more years Brutus finally became the Grand Champion of Canthar making history as one of the few since the reign of Magnus the First to perform such a feat.

Through this honor Brutus was able to buy his freedom becoming a free man but not for long. Quickly he was recruited by the agents of [member="Darth Carnifex"] as one of the first trained Blackblade Guardsman. Brutus served in the Blackblade Guard for roughly over thirty years attaining the second highest rank of General under Highlord Osbasid he performed with the highest honors. It wasn't until Kaine came back to Panatha becoming the God-King that his life changed. Kaine and his staff were reforming the Royal Army of Panatha and needed a candidate for Grand General since the previous one was executed as a traitor.

The Highlord immediately recommended Brutus for the job as Grand General. After considering it Kaine then released him from his service in the Blackblade Guard appointing him as his Grand General, where he has served ever since.

Intent: To act on my inspiration and continue to flesh out the hierarchy of the Dual Monarchy of Panatha & Thule

First I just want to say that this is a well-written submission, and I definitely see a great deal of thought and effort placed into its writing. That being said, as the skills stand I would like to see a development thread of at least 20 substantial posts. My reasoning for this is due to the fact that he boasts elite infantry training, as well as an excellent repertoire for tactics and strategy.

Additionally, you explain that he is "three hundred pounds of pure muscle." If this is metaphorical, please state so. Otherwise that will need to be changed. Although they are described as being a muscular species they are also described as "appearing very similar to baseline human," which would suggest their physiology is not too different.

So unless you have rationale there--or it is indeed metaphorical--you'll need to bring the character down to a more believable level of physical strength and muscle development.

Everything else is fine, and proved to be a very smooth read.

I will link you dev thread when complete. As for the muscle it is made to be metaphorical he's obviously not just muscle. He weighs 300 pounds with a more dominant percentage of muscle than body fat,

With more emphasis on him being a commander, rather than a soldier, I feel my concerns have been met adequately.

Approved, pending secondary. [member="Silencia"]
