Government Organization

The Grayson Imperium is a constitutional monarchy that is structured like a traditional fiefdom. Individual worlds may retain their own culture, standing armies, and traditions so long as they pay their tithes and fealty to the House Grayson and the throne of the Imperator.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

The House of Lords
The House of Lords is the Imperium's governing body. Here, the Barons, Dukes, High Lords, and Lord-Imperator democratically vote upon whatever decisions the Imperium might need to make. Each noble has as many votes as the amount of planets they rule. Ecunemoplisis and other specialized worlds may count for more than one vote on a case by case basis.
The Lord-Imperator
Leader of the Imperium, the Lord-Imperator is a position filled by the most capable of the Grayson family. The Imperator has absolute power over the realms of the Imperium, and serves as both the head of state, and the spiritual head of the nation. An Imperator must attain the rank of Jedi Master before ascending to the position. It is expected that Jedi teachings will create benevolent monarchs to guide the Imperium into an eventual rule by the people when the time comes for such change.
^
High Lords of the Imperium
The High Lords serve as the Imperator's personal council. Selected from the most skilled and accomplished of Dukes, the High Lords decide what direction the Imperium will take, and are expected to take on positions of leadership in times of crisis.
^
Dukes
A Duke is any being that rules over a region of space. They are expected to govern several worlds, and will only be allowed to retain their rule so long as the people of the worlds they rule support them in the majority. Dukes serve at the heart of Imperial politics.
^
Barons
Barons rule over a single planet. They are often the elected presidents, ministers, and other positions of general planetary leadership. Barons may rule on their own, or beneath the influence of a Duke depending on what region of space they are in.
^
Counts
Counts rule significant portions of land on any Imperium world. Whilst they have no say in the House of Lords, the Counts serve as the Imperium's minor nobility, and though they answer to their locals Barons, hold a modicum of power.
