Intent: To give NFU Sith more viable ways to combat and capture Jedi opposition.

Development Thread:
Hero Unit: No
Manufacturer: Sienar Army Systems
Model: Stokhil Spray Stick/Chimera
Affiliation: Sith Empire (formerly, now open market)
Modularity: No.
Production: Minor
Material:Durasteel
Description: The Gorgon is a modified Chimera that sprays a mist-like net solution that instantly re-fuses with itself when burned or blasted through, and on contact deploys a stunning electrical charge strong enough to completely immobilize the average person or animal. A 'burst' setting can be used to fire 4 meter long 'micronets' which still have the same punch electrically but target a much smaller area, or the gun can be fixed to the 'hold' setting which constructs a wider net as long as the user holds the trigger, but drastically reducing firing speed.

Strengths and Weaknesses:
+Reliable way to ensare a target
+In ‘hold’ mode the net/webbing continues firing until the user runs out of fluid or stops, and dispenses at too quick a rate to slash or blast through with conventional lightsabers/blasters
+Discharges an electric shock capable of incapacitating most human-sized organics, and significantly stunning/hindering more resilient and Force-sensitive targets.
+/-Physical relation to "Chimera": The blaster is externally modeled after the standard "Chimera" blaster rifle, and the two are virtually indistinguishable. This gives the user an element of surprise against opponents who expect a blasterbolt, but also limits the user, as you can’t feasibly carry two blaster rifles and even if you could it would give away the element of stealth.
-Net Construction Time: Unlike a blasterbolt, the net is a solid object and does not form instantly. It takes time to construct the net, at a rate of about 4 meters of netting per second. If set to the 'burst' setting the net's construction occurs instantly after the last net was fired and is compacted until firing, but if set to 'hold' the net is constructed and dispensed while the trigger is held.
-Travel Speed: Being a handheld weapon, the Gorgon can only fire with so much force. As the net gets larger, the speed must get smaller to compensate. The spray of ‘hold’ mode can reach out at a distance of 4 meters per second. The ‘burst’ mode, as it launches a constructed net instead of spraying a yet to-be constructed net, travels at roughly 85% the speed of a normal blaster shot.
-Recoil: Like it's Stokhli Stick predecessor, the Gorgon has a strong recoil, much stronger than it’s Chimera look-a-like, requiring a stronger soldier to use efficiently. This is also hinders shot to shot time in ‘burst’ mode and makes using ‘hold’ mode for an extended period of time similar to trying to hold a fire hose straight.
-Two-Handed: While not so much of a weakness as it is a limitation, it should be mentioned that the Gorgon requires two-handed use to handle the recoil and proper aim, and thus can’t be quickly combined with a side arm for a ‘stun and shoot’ combo without discarding/putting away the rifle and drawing another weapon.
