  All groups interbreed freely and consider themselves one people. Differences are seen as environmental traditions, not separate identities. Annual Gathering of Seasons includes delegations from every region to exchange seed stock, livestock lines, and weather knowledge.

• Low Technological Drive - The Gorathi are cautious adopters of advanced technology. This leads to: Military vulnerability, Dependence on offworld trade for high-tech needs, and Slower adaptation to rapidly changing galactic politics. They often fall behind more aggressive civilizations.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Gorathi are the result of interbreeding of a lost Human/Devaronian colony. The ancestors of the current Gorathi were a group of Human and Devaronian laborers who found the direction of a quickly urbanizing population of Mokk IX too fast paced. They desired a simpler lifestyle. The colony organizers purchased a large colony ship, seeds to plant and a livestock for both food and work. Approximately 2,000 settlers (60-70% Human, 30-40% Devaronian) set off to make a new agri-colony.

The colony had no veteran pilots. This was supposed to be a one-way trip. Those who manned the colony ship made a miscalculation with an exit vector from Mokk IX which took them towards the system's sun. Before they could adjust to a proper vector to jump to hyperspace the colony ship was inside the bordering asteroid field. The ship was quickly damaged and crashed on the moon of the gas giant Mokk VIII. The atmosphere of the moon was initially Type II making it uninhabitable for the colonists. The colony lived inside the ship for several generations. Over time the colonists were able to influence the atmosphere and eventually were able to move out of the ship onto their new home.

In the last hundred years the isolation that Gorathi treasure has been limitedly interrupted. The Mokkan people have sent representatives to secure a steady source of agricultural goods and foodstuffs. The Harvest Spire as a place that hosts the newly formed Agrarian Council as well as to handle all visitors. Most Gorathi still function in small Root Circles and slightly larger regional Clanstead Circles.
