Goran Beviin was a Mandalorian warrior of legendary proportions; a close friend and advisor to Manda'alor Boba Fett, Beviin was a warrior of unquestionable skill and honor. He lived a simple life on a farm with his husband and adopted daughter outside of New Keldabe, but when Mandalore called him to protect it and its people, Beviin accepted it dutifully. The warrior was instrumental in the defense of Mandalore against the Yuuzhan Vong invaders, and it was his blade that cut down hundreds of Vong in the ruins of Bralsin. Even when the ships of the Yuuzhan Vong began to tear into the land of Mandalore, creating city-crushing craters, Beviin held his ground along with his fellow warriors. It was because of his bravery, and that of countless others, that the line was held, and Mandalore remained free.
Goran's Stand is that very sword that Beviin wielded against the Yuuzhan Vong, which drank the blood of hundreds upon hundreds of vicious Vong warriors that fated day. It is a master of metalsmithing and forging, with a perfectly balanced blade with a monomolecular edge that has the capability of cutting through the strongest of armors. The beskad is not just an effective blade, but also one that is extremely fine; the sword is crafted with an aurodium inlay and agrinium grip, making it as valuable as it is powerful. The bloodlust of the blade, an after-effect from the slaughter of the Battle of Mandalore, allows its user to enter a trance-like state where they feel no pain and have increased adrenaline and senses; however, caution must be given that this trance could lead to a warrior fatally pushing themselves past their limits.
It is a powerful weapon, with a deep and bloody legacy. Only those who have proven themselves will ever be worthy to wield it once more.
