Gold On The Ceiling

Etti IV ~ Mondder
Corporate Sector
Storage Facility 28D
[member="Seydon of Arda"]

And the message was sent from where?

Heavily encrypted, boss. Our boys are still working on the feed but…”

You doubt we will be able to salvage anything.”

Yup. We haven’t opened the doors yet, figured we would wait for you first.”

So what did the message say?

The thug blinked twice, before a light in his eyes implied he remembered something. Out of the depths of his suit he pulled a greasy datapad - one look at his boss, he tried to wipe off the pad as best as he could to make it look a little bit more presentable.

Here ya go, boss.”

Khal took a look at the offered datapad and then sighed. Ain’t like he didn’t handle dirtier stuff back in the day, so he took it and started reading.

You don’t know me, but I know you. Used to be in the Sanctum - kept an eye out for people like you and now here we are. Storage Facility 28D on Mondder, it’s yours, do with the contents as you will, except one thing… there is a sword there. It ain’t mine, ain’t yours, do me a favor and sent the sword to its rightful owner. You will find the coordinates of her included. Don’t disappoint me, Khaleel Malvern, I will know where to find you if you do. “

The Crime Lord rose his eyebrows at that. He couldn’t even remember the last time that he had been threatened in such a way, but that was the thing with reputation and power… there were always players in the Galaxy that had more of either of the two - or both. Khaleel wasn’t the man to take such things all too personal though, and so his employee did not get the reaction that he was expecting from him.

Intriguing.” was all he said. They kept on walking in silence, passing by alleyways, thugs and street rats before Khaleel noticed a distinct change in the atmosphere. It was the feeling of… safety, security and order above all.
Which meant that his boys had walked into this corner of the map and applied his brand of justice to the territory. Presented opportunities, but Khal didn’t know yet if he wanted to get too much involved in the Corporate Sector-scene.

A whole lotta backstabbery and shet out here. Ain’t sure it’s worth the trouble.

They entered the hallway of the storage facility, his men were already aligning the walls and surveying their surroundings: he couldn’t help but wonder if they were doing this to do him a favor, and would go back to playing cards when he was gone.

Might be Khal was getting a bit paranoid.

Open the doors.”

And as those doors were unsealed, as they were opened… Khal’s eyes widened as he witnessed a scene that could have been cut straight from any holoflick with a treasure trove chamber.

Uh. I think we will need a bigger ship, boss.”

I think you are right, Bob. I think… you are right.”
