Glimmerweave Silk is a textile created by boiling the silk produced by Gloomwing Moths. The species is native to Rishi, who use it to build their nests and protect their young. Due to the difficulty in acquiring the material and specialist knowledge necessary to prepare it, the material has become a status symbol amongst the Rishii population, who use this material in creating high-quality clothing, and occasionally construction.
The use of this material has significant cultural meaning to some Rishii tribes, particularly those isolated from the Galatic stage who assign a mythological element to the material. Wearing it is usually reserved for those who have earned the right to wear it, normally by slaying a Gloomwing Moth or having the cunning necessary to retrieve enough to create the garment.
