Outer Rim Territories.
Carrion sector.
Sojourn system, Sojourn.

The Initium was meant to be the solution to some of the problems that Darth Ayra had faced in recent years. The nature of her work required a clandestine approach; and you couldn't become more clandestine if you were unseen or unheard of. That was the concept behind the design of the Star Courier that the Sith Lord had constructed in the Tund system, through the use of Emeritus Industries. The final piece to the puzzle as it were was the Stygium crystal, a naturally reoccurring yet rare piece of nature that gave the user the ability to cloak. She had sent out one of her subordinates to collect a Qixoni and Katak crystal in recent times- which meant that discovering and then taking a rare Lightsaber crystal was not beyond her reach- but Jaron Lesan was away on business that the Sith Lord knew not of. Ayra didn't want the boy to think that his services were vital to her success. No, this time, she would go out and find the Stygium crystal herself.

That was where Kiran Vess came in. An invitation had been sent to meet with one Alicia Drey. She had learned that, whilst thrilling and overwhelmingly satisfying to reveal her real name and true identity, it was dangerous to mix her two lives together. As far as Kiran knew, he was meeting with a business entrepreneur who simply required something that was out of her reach. Illegal, yes, but as with so many people in the world of business, there was a fine line between the legal and illegal perimeters that governed the galaxy and sometimes to get what you wanted, you had to cross the line.

As Kiran made his way to the "the Fort", Darth Ayra went to change and get in character.

Kiran moved quickly.

He had come in a single person ship, no escort and none of his men, that was unnecessary. If more were needed he could order them to meet him at whatever his destination would turn out to be. For now however he was simply negotiating a price and a job, not something that needed the employees of Saeva Incorporated.

The Zeltron stepped onto the path, his westar-34 strapped to the outside of his thigh and no other visible weapons upon him. His hands curled slightly as he moved closer, an uneasy feeling beginning to spike through him as he felt the back of his neck prickling.

For a brief moment he looked about, then shook his head.

His imagination played with him at times, and slowly he moved towards the house. Whatever this job was, Saeva would get it done. That was their guarantee. Of course they had only done a few small tasks as of yet, most of them for the One Sith.

He hoped this would go just as well.

An armored man- Sun Guard if Kiran recognized the armor and emblem- approached the assassin as he landed on the Hunter's Moon. Sojourn was windy that day, as it was the season for it. The guard gestured for Kiran to follow him. He was led through a large opening hallway to a flight of stairs at it's end. Up the stairs, another hall led to a study, where Alicia Drey was waiting for her guest.

Rising to her feet, Alicia went to greet Kiran at the door. "Welcome to Sojourn Mr. Vess. Apologizes for not coming to greet you myself. Security purposes. Would you like a seat?" She gestured to the chair, moving to sit back down in the one she just vacated. When she sat, her leg folded over the other.

He moved to the chair without question. There was no reason for fear or unease, this was after all a simple business meeting.

To him, an employer was an employer. He didn't care if Alicia Drey was Sith, Jedi, or just a regular business woman. To Kiran they were all the same. Everyone had an agenda, something they wanted to do or get done. As log as they paid he would work for any of them, no matter what he would have to do in the end.

It was that simple.

“That's quite alright Miss Drey.” His voice was stern, cold. The tone of a methodical man. “If you don't mind, lets get straight down to business.”

He had never been one for small talk, even with Alric.

Alicia got straight to business. "I need two stygium crystals. I need the operation to be clandestine. I do not want them to know who it was that raided or for it to lead back to me, this star system, you get the picture. I would like to look at alternative worlds than the one in the Aeten system."

Stygium.

Cloaking technology. That was an obvious answer with an even more obvious bi-product. For a brief moment Kiran tried to remember all of the planets that had Stygium mines upon them. There were a few in the outer rim, one in the central Mandalorian territories and one in wild space. The last few were not well known, only rumors really, but rumors often lead to truth.

“Easy enough.” Kiran said with a shrug. “Why avoid Aetan?”

Digging was generally a bad idea, but if he was going to make a decision of where to steal from then he needed to know if there were more parameters that he needed to be aware of.

He nodded. The Mandalorians were one of the larger powers in the galaxy. It made sense to avoid their ire, though Kiran doubted that it would become a problem, with the right equipment it wouldn't be too difficult to steal a bit of stygium, especially the amount that Miss Drey had indicated.

“There's a few worlds in the outer rim.” He said recounting his earlier thoughts. “Rumors of a planet in wild space that subsists on Stygium near Levantine Space.”

He would have to do some research to actually find that planet, though he doubted there would be much difficulty. Once a planet began trading with the rest of the galaxy, even a small portion of it, remaining secret was not at all easy. The more people involved, the more rumors leaked, the more rumors leaked, the easier it was for someone like Kiran to find out where to go.

Lessons learned well under Titan. “Give me a day and I'll find a location. Give me a week and the job will be done.”

It was that simple.

"I think you misunderstand Mr. Vess. I will accompanying you during this operation. These are my terms." They would get the stygium she required. They would do it on world that was not Aeten II. They would do it together, in a clandestine operation.

"You have your day Mr. Vess. It will give me time to prepare as well. Before we part ways, will it just be us or do you have others that will be joining us?"

His lips thinned for a moment, but he nodded.

The prospect of having someone tag along with him wasn't exactly what he would have chosen, especially when that someone was to him, just a business woman. However, if that was a condition of the job, then he could work around it. Provided the woman understood what was about to happen, and how this would all go down, then it was fine with him.

“No. Numbers will only complicate things.” The fewer people went, the better. “I'll return tomorrow with the information we seek.”

With that Kiran stood up from the table, giving the woman a short bow before turning and leaving. He stepped out of the room and quickly headed back towards his ship. In the back of his head he tried to think of contacts, names, people that he could call in favors from.

True to his word, it was the very next day that Kiran appeared. Within the pocket of his armor he carried a small datacron, on that datacron he carried a small piece of information. It was not a map, but a simple set of coordinates.

His musings on a planet to the far left of the galaxy had been correct.

It seemed to the galactic south and then east of the Levantine Sanctum was a planet that exported Stygium crystals almost exclusively. Saeva incorporated had learned of this through a small contact within a tiny shipping company. A man who was in deep gambling debt and was seeking for an out. Saeva had payed off a small amount of his debt in return for information. That information had lead to a shipping company, and that shipping company had lead to a name.

Kelsier.

Alicia was waiting outside "the Fort" when Kiran reappeared, as on schedule. The Lightsaber that hung on her hip was concealed by the light cloak she wore. If it all went to her plan, she needn't use it. But it always helped to have a back up. Her hair was tied into a ponytail, which hung at her back. When Kiran was closed enough, she greeted him. "I assume you've found our target? Where are we headed?"

Kiran said nothing for a few moments, only studying the woman.

It seemed pointless for her to come along on this trip. Even more pointless for her to want to, but he wasn't one to question these types of things, not when he was getting paid not to. “The Galactic east.”

He said, tapping the pocket located on his chest.

The datacron had the coordinates that they needed, and it was really all that he could say. It would be a short hyperspace jump to their destination, and before the woman could ask any more questions he turned about and began to walk towards his Blackbird. It was a two seat stealth ship, exactly what they needed for this mission.

Nothing more. Nothing less.

That didn't really answer her question. She wanted the name of the world or star system. Was he purposefully avoiding answering her question? The hidden Lightsaber felt more reassuring now. She was glad to have it. Without another world, Alicia climbed up into Kiran's ship and lowered herself into the spare seat. She buckled herself in and waited for take off.

Two silent people. This was going to be a fun trip.

Probably.
