Ruins of Scarif
Midday

The trees rustled with the wind that blew through. A hooded figure climbed over rubble, a disaster that occurred centuries before the current date. Moss had heavily grown over all of the equipment that had been used by the Empire of old. The hooded figure stopped and began to pull at one of the crates that seemed to have been tampered with before. It was the possible drop off point for the goods she was looking for, but after digging through the mounds of moss, Fiore realized she was mistaken. Standing now over the crate, the young woman looked towards her comm. In the past years she had gotten better with technology and was fully capable of using the basic equipment.

Upon joining the collective, she was thrust into the highly technological world. Meeting those in the collective, Fiore was quickly taught simple slicing techniques and it helped her own agenda of hunting down Sith. Looking through the comm, Fiore needed to remember the coordinates she had lifted off the smuggler. As she scrolled through her notes, she came across an old image she had downloaded onto the comm device when she bought it.

The picture was of her and [member="Mira Rekali"], the Assassin paused and stared at it and for a moment wondered what the woman was doing. It had felt like forever since she had seen the Jedi and thoughts of her warmed and wounded her heart. Fiore struggled to pull herself from the memories and return her attention to work. According to the coordinates the exchange should have happened here, but it seemed the buyer had not shown up.

“You really should keep your guard up…” Mira chided as she leaned against the boxes of equipment that belonged to someone or some being. She gestured towards Fiore, who was busy scrolling through her datapad. “I could sense your emotions from a mile away….” Reality was, she couldn’t. She couldn’t ever sense Fiore. She was one of those dark spots in the Force that Mira couldn’t touch, which at times bothered her – especially when Mira tried to reach out to her. When they had been together, she tried to reach out to her and let her know everything was fine, but she could never sense her. Mira let off a chuckle and brought herself up onto one of the boxes, crossing her legs.

“So, I see you’re some kind of dealer these days?” She looked around, nodding gently. “I didn’t expect you to get into that business.”

Fiore looked up from her tablet and blinked. The last person she would have ever expected stood near her and speaking to her. The young assassin wondered if the woman even realized the things that she had gone through, how she felt when she was gone. Frowning, Fiore returned her attention to the pad she was scrolling on to make sure she shut down the image before Mira saw what she had lost herself in thought with. The data pad was neatly shoved into a pocket pouch that Fiore had clinging to her backside. Arms folded and she looked towards Mira. As much as she wanted to be angry and as much as she wanted Mira to know that she was angry, hurt along with other things, she couldn't. There was an urge to defend herself as Mira accused her of dealing.

"I'm actually the opposite of that. I'm here to kill the Sith that is running the operation." Fiore looked around the area knowing that this was the place that she was supposed to be able to jump the Darth that was collecting the goods. Now wasn't the time to have this conversation with Mira, but as time passed she couldn't keep her mouth or mind focused.

"Why are you here?" The was frustration and pain lingering in the question. A part of her hoped that Mira had been searching for her, but something in her heart told her that was never going to be a reason the pair met up with each other. There had to be another reason and Fiore feared it. Taking a deep breath, she held it for a moment and then exhaled waiting for the answer. It didn't take much for Fiore to remember how it felt to be with Mira and it took even less for her to want to go back to that. The woman, this Jedi always had a hold on her and Fiore could never understand why. [member="Mira Rekali"]

Mira sensed she ruffled some feathers, perhaps somewhere along the way of disappearing and reappearing in the life of Fiore – she hurt her. She could relate, well, understand was the more apt term. She chuckled softly and gestured towards Fiore as appeared guarded now more than ever. “Now you guard yourself, but not from the situation...” She paused for a moment. “You’re guarding against me.”
Mira sighed softly and dropped her hand into her lap.

“Because I want to be? Maybe I’m not here and this is all in your head? A memory somewhere that is toying with you.” Mira chuckled softly and shook her head. “No, I’m here because I wanted to apologize for not being there as I should have been. My commitments took me elsewhere, places that I should have taken you but I couldn’t….”

Fiore looked to Mira. Her voice and words felt sincere, which eased the tension that the assassin held in her shoulders. Sighing softly, Fiore needed to not allow herself to fall into taking the apology without saying how she felt and what she had seen. Remembering the party on Naboo, Fiore remembered Mira with the man. She remembered how the girl smiled and how happy she was. It made her wonder if she was happier with him.

Yet, why was she here? Was she here to finally break her heart for good? Sighing softly, a hand brushed a stray strand of her brown hair.
“You wanted to take me? I find it hard to believe.” Fiore paused. “What happened to the man on Naboo? You stopped talking to me and then I see you in a crowd. You and him together, you could have told me...but you didn't. I had to find out like that.”

Shaking her head, Fiore rested a hand against her forehead and then moved over her mouth as she tried to figure out if she wanted to really know the answer to any of it. Still, she asked. “Why him? What made him better than me?” She spoke calmly, but she began to struggle with it. [member="Mira Rekali"]

Mira frowned as she was called out about [member="Isar Kislo"] and the situation on Naboo. She turned away, folding her arms over her chest as she let off a shrug before her gaze returned to Fiore. “What about him?” Mira had thought about lying to Fiore, considering she had her hair a different color at the time, but she knew that Fiore was smarter than that. Mira gestured towards Fiore abruptly. “What about you and your boss, huh!?” She hopped down from the box and moved closer to Fiore.

“You could have told me about you and her, about your little late night romps of taking care of her when she didn’t feel good.” Mira ensured she quoted the end, knowing full well that there were times that Fiore had been exposed to that vile woman.

“Don’t tell me there wasn’t a time she came on to you, I know all about it now – no thanks to you!”

[member="Fiore de Noir"]

Fiore sighed knowing that this was going to come up. Mira never really liked the arrangement that Fiore had with Amelia. It was completely professional yet for some reason it was skewed in Mira’s mind. Frowning, the young woman assumed Amelia and Mira must have met along the way. Amelia knew about Mira and how the woman disappeared without a trace. “There was never anything between Amelia and I.” It was odd saying the woman’s name, for a time she called her another name.

“I was always honest with you about her. I don’t understand why you think more happened.” Fiore’s expression didn’t change, she tried to not look hurt at the accusations. “She did try to make our relationship more than what it was. She offered me some gift, but I denied…I denied her.” Another sigh and Fiore narrowed her eyes slightly towards Mira. “I never disappeared nor did I ever lie to you. When I found you, I told you I never stopped looking for you, but did you even want to be found? Did you even miss me or what we shared?” If she had the force, Fiore would have thrown one of the moss-covered crates aside in her frustration. Instead, she held it inward and cursed under her breath.

“You obviously did not want to try and see if we could have something again. I missed you Mira and despite everything I still -…” Fiore stopped herself and pinched the bridge of her nose. “Again, nothing happened between me and my Boss. I don’t work for her anymore.” [member="Mira Rekali"]

Mira groaned, frustrated as she kicked the side of the crate and threw her hands up at the same time. “You have no idea what I’ve been thinking or what I have put myself through – you just assume I just ran off, I didn’t think about you and come back only for you to spot me on Naboo being flirtatious with someone else.” Mira turned away and marched off behind the crates, shouting. “I didn’t sleep with him, yes, I slept in the same bed but nothing happened.” She came back around from behind the crates gesturing at Fiore. “I spoke of you, of us.” Mira shook her head fiercely.

“No, I didn’t look for you, we had gone our separate ways and I figured you were doing what you were best at – killing Jedi and Sith alike, so you were content and I was too.” In reality, Mira wasn’t content, she was just ignoring the pain hidden within. Eventually, Mira came to a halt a short distance from Fiore, folding her arm across her chest. “Look, I’m sorry, alright? That is about the best I can offer you – I can’t make up for the past nor can I turn back the clock. If that isn’t good enough then…well…” Mira’s temper flared for a moment at the notion of rejection from Fiore, she blurted out suddenly.

“Then you can just shove off!”

Fiore watched Mira move about. The woman was full of energy and she was never good at apologizing or realizing when she had been a fault. Arms crossed in front of her and a hand rested on her chin as she let the Jedi let everything out. It was one thing Fiore was fond of Mira for, the woman knew how to express her emotions, she could say what she thought for the most part and understand what she was feeling. Emotions like this, especially emotions that were tied to anything that had to do with Mira; Fiore struggled to understand, especially love. She knew she desired Mira and that even in this instance just being near her was enough for the Assassin to feel at ease.

It happened quickly, before Fiore could respond to the comment of her being content assonating Jedi and Sith. Mira soon appeared in front of her, she was close, probably closer than she had ever been in some time. Fiore had to catch her breath, fear never found a home in the former Jedi, but when Mira was around – she felt it. Or something along those lines. Mira was someone Fiore feared losing, she feared disappointing her, and she feared having a day where she would never see her again. Even when Mira would disappear there was always a hope, a feeling that the woman would show up again.

Emotions were a strong thing and with the sudden burst of them coming from Mira, the Eldorai girl felt her ears burning as fiercely as her face. The temper that flared from Mira, Fiore didn’t need a Force bond to feel. If there was this much explosive emotion coming from her then, there was reason behind it. Hearing that the man didn’t mean much and that she had spoken of her…of them. It threw the girl off; hearing Mira talk about speaking about their relations was something she never expected to hear. Something took hold and Fiore closed the short gap between them. There was no going back from this, but she needed to do this and she stared at the Rekali woman for just a split second. Lips parted and hands reached out gently grabbing the other woman’s face and pulling her close.

The kiss was forced, but the feeling of their lips crashing against each other in this fit of emotion caused Fiore to feel everything at once. Just this moment, she wished to feel the caress of the Force so she could read if she had either made the biggest mistake of her life or if it was moving everything in the right direction. Fiore held the kiss and then pulled away, fighting the urge to hold on to Mira. A slight shake of her head and Fiore spoke quietly and direct. “I wasn’t content. What I was doing…after meeting you – it never felt right…” Sighing softly, her hands released Mira’s face and fell to the side of the Assassin. “I can never be content with my circumstances without knowing if you’re okay.” [member="Mira Rekali"]

At first, Mira was taken aback by such a kiss, emotion bristling forth from the wonderful creature before her. She felt it, the heat of the moment between them, the wondrous feeling of the touch of her hands to her face. Mira returned the kiss, with fire and passion and without hesitation. She bit the bottom of Fiore’s lip, as hands reached out to grip the girl before her, quivering in excitement and anxiety. As the other withdrew, Mira felt her emotions flutter and a whisper escaped her lips.

Words expressed emotions buried beneath emotional rubble that were released just for a singular moment.

“Be with me forever – marry me….” Her crimson eyes were half-open as she stared at the lips of Fiore, still gripping her hips despite her pulling away.

There was a sense of relief that coursed through Fiore as she felt the return of the kiss she assumed was going to be instantly rejected. Most of her experiences she had come to learn to assume rejection, everyone at some point rejected her, it was probably why she had grown so attached to Mira. The Jedi never truly rejected her, she always knew what to say and it kept Fiore hanging on.

Hazel eyes, dotted with yellow stared back at the half open crimson eyes of her only lover. The request hung in the air. Fiore didn’t truly understand where it was coming from, especially with how their last meeting had gone. Mira seemed to want to keep her at an arm’s length, never wanted to fully return to what they had. Yet, now she wanted to keep the young Eldorai closer till the end of time. Hesitation caused by fear of what was coming next, she didn’t know if this course would keep Mira from leaving her behind again.

Still, it was a request that granted her everything she ever wanted. Fiore stayed close, feeling Mira’s hands gripping her hips. A hand rose and brushed aside the gentle chestnut hair that brushed against the Jedi’s face with the soft ocean breeze. A part of her warned her that this wouldn’t change something that may inevitably come, but logic had gotten Fiore nowhere. Following her emotions as they came, brought her a happiness. A smile spread across her face as a gentle kiss brushed the other woman’s lips. “I want to. Yes…” A soft sigh of contentment escaped the young Assassin’s lips, “Please, don’t leave me again.” [member="Mira Rekali"]

Mira gently let go of the other woman's hips and nodded, lingering only for a moment longer before sighing and moving back to the crates. "I'll do my best, it's tough sometimes - you know?" She gestured between them. "Sticking around since everything went south, I feel like it's easier to run away and immerse myself in the Force than it is to tough it out. I sometimes wonder what life would be like without the Force?" She looked down and smirked, bringing a hand to brush back the strands of loose hair that managed to encompass her face. "I don't think I'd make it."

She shrugged and looked back to Fiore. "I mean, you do well, maybe that's cause you never knew the Force." Mira moved back in and gently grabbed Fiore. "So, I understand your hesitation and fear." She nodded slightly, lowering her head just a bit, whispering. "So take your time on that - it was a heat of the moment thing that I meant just...a bit abrupt."

[member="Fiore de Noir"]

It was a nice moment and she was brought to reality as Mira spoke. Fiore didn't understand what she meant, from her understanding of love and being with someone is that you lean on them when trouble hits. Though, she knew that would only happen if Mira actually trusted Fiore. Knowing that Mira would rather disappear and wait till things were good again worried the Eldorai girl. It meant that Mira didn't trust her and that dug sharply into her heart.

Mira spoke of the Force and knowing it, then commented that Fiore didn't know it. The comment scratched the surface of why Fiore harbored dislike towards force users. It was this know it all aura that they all had. Fiore let Mira finish and it helped subside some of the frustration, but she still felt it.

It wasn't just that comment it was how Mira always left, how Fiore was forever chasing something that might not ever be, and how foolish she continuously felt for hoping that Mira would come back. Pulling away, Fiore shook her head. As much as she wanted to just walk away, she couldn't. Mira needed to know how things had happened and what she was feeling.

“No, I knew the force quite well. The Force was all I had until it was taken from me. I know the escape you feel, just immersing yourself into the force. Its warm and welcoming. I don't have that anymore.” Shaking her head, Fiore did her best to try and stay calm, but her chest was on fire. “Don’t you tell me I don't know it, don't tell me I'm doing well. It's a constant struggle. What helps is that I have you or had I don't even know sometimes.”

Another step back Fiore turned her back to Mira. “I am tired of being alone, I'm tired of hopelessly following you and when you said what you did. Staying with you forever is what I want. I'm tired of missing you Mira, I die every time you leave, but my foolish hope of maybe one day you'll stay with me keeps me from doing so.” A heavy sigh and Fiore felt her shoulders slump with a shrug. “I like to believe that maybe when you're away you think of me or that somewhere in your heart you really mean being with me forever.”

“You're my first everything, my first love and my first heartbreak. I don't know how much more I can hold out for you. Please when things get hard, lean on me, trust me, just let me love you.”
