Ghostbusters [Venthis]

Ciutric IV

"This world has seen a lot, dear cousin." Elani said softly to her cousin, Venthis Zambrano, who she stood beside on the bridge of an Exterminator-class corvette that the two had requisitioned for this specific mission. Elani was right. Ciutric IV has a history of conflict. Factions from nearly all eras of the galaxy's history have had their hands on this planet, from the Confederacy to the Yuuzhan Vong Empire. But, there was something rather specific that Elani had left Sith Empire space for. Something that required her cousin's assistance.

"I think it's about time I tell you why I've brought you here." she began. "It is here that the old ruins of a home that once belonged to Darth Bane. yes. The Darth Bane. I have recieved intel that a certain spirit walks the halls of Darth Bane's home. One that has information that would be quite important to have on our side." The sound of the ship landing on a spaceport filled the air. "I've asked for your assistance in the matter because I do not know how deep this will go or how powerful this spirit may be." Elani grabbed hold of her hood and lifted it onto her head. "We're about an hour away from the mansion so we should move swiftly."

The Sith Knight stood, with his arms locked together behind his back. His hair in a bun, with his eyes glaring out into the empty abyss of space. He was thinking. His cousin spoke of a plan, with ghosts and secrets to be found. Which, undoubtedly peaked his interest. He turned to her giving her a nod. "What's the plan once we find... this spirit?" He asked, not entirely sold on the idea.

Though he felt the ship landing, causing him to turn and head for the exit swiftly. The ramp lowered, revealing the two Zambranos. They marched, side by side. Venthis held a book on his waist, attached by a large bolt along with a lightsaber staff.

They were heading into the unknown, but this is what a family outing is. Right?

Elani walked smoothly, eyes forever vigilant for any disturbances that might fall upon the two. But it was quiet. The night air was still. No wind. Not even the native fauna made a sound. Normally, this would be odd, but Elani thought notihng of it. She had a mission and would not be held back from it. "I've knowledge of an incantation that would bind the spirit's soul to mine. It's knowledge will become mine. It's memories, it's strengths. All would become one with me. As I have not done this magic before, it will be quite difficult. It could kill me, but that is why you're here, Venthis. Should I require you strength, I will ask you to give it to me. More than likely, however, that won't be the case. In life, this spirit was not that much more powerful than I so this should be rather easy."

The two then came upon a long, winding pathway that led up to Darth Bane's mansion. "Here we are." Elani said. Elani broke through the old iron gates of the estate with the power of telekinesis. The iron gates creaked and groaned as they fell tot he ground. "You ready?" Elani continued walking the path up to the front door of the mansion. She examined the large rustic entrance to the home. With a flick of her wrist, the door would open, creaking with each move it made, revealing the foyer of the mansion in all it's forgotten glory. It was clear that the home was once a beauty. But now, it was covered in cobwebs and dust. "Filthy little hovel." the princess exclaimed. She stepped inside and started looking around. Old paintings decorated the walls and the chandelier above was void of any life. This place was the typical domain for a spirit. Now, all they had to do was find it.

He turned for a moment, glaring to the side before returning his attention back to Elani. Squinting for a moment, he was clearly in deep thought. Though all that left his mouth was a soft exhale, cold as ice. He followed her along the silent path. Then he stopped her on the pathway leading up to the mansion. Placing a hand on her shoulder.

"I don't say this because I don't think you're..." He pauses, clearly searching for words. "Powerful, enough?" He says with a nod.

"I say this because you're family. Don't under-estimate this." He stated, glaring into her eyes. "I'd hate for this to go wrong."

With that, he turned and continued along the path. She flung the gates from their hinges with ease. He would help, sliding them along the ground with telekinesis himself clearing them from in front of the pair, giving her a nod afterwards. "Ready, as ever." He grinned. They entered the mansion, causing Venthis to glare about in awe. He appreciated a place like this. It was just his... 'thing'. The shattered glass along the floor, paired with the ruined wallpaper. He just felt warm - for once.

A smile filled his face briefly. "Filthy? Feels like home." He said, glaring around. He stopped for a moment, dead in his tracks. Sensing something, a dark presence. He couldn't quite put his finger on it, or it's location but he could just feel it's presence.

It was watching.

Elani stopped moving and slowed her breathing. She looked over her shoulder to her cousin. "You feel it too? It's here." Elani's violet eyes scanned the foyer, searching for the spirit. But, it did not show itself. "Perhaps we should appease it." Elani walked towards the center of the foyer, standing beneath the chandelier and dropped to her knees. Her eyes slowly closed as she began to mutter an incantation beneath her breath.

Ade due damballa. Answer my calls I beg of you!
Secoise entienne mais pois de morte.
Morteisma lieu de vocuier de mieu vochette.
Endonline pour de boisette damballa!
Secoise entienne mais pois de morte.
Endelieu pour de boisette damballa!
Her incantation caused the mansion to shudder at the power she was drawing upon to summon the spirit. Sounds of glass shattering and wood creaking broke the silence throughout the house. And then, a shadow in the form of a man stood at the top of the stairs. It looked down upon them with it's ghostly visage. It's eyes were sunken with no color and it's facial features were undecipherable. Elani looked up at the spirit, meeting it's gaze with her own. "There he is. Durrei." Elani formed a slick grin on her face and slowly rose to her feet as the spirit came down the stairway.

(Continuing on as if Venthis was not present.)

Elani stood still as a statue as she awaited some sort of reaction from the spirit. She did not want to startle it or scare it off. She needed information from it. Information only it had. But, the spirit only stared back at her, standing still as she was. Elani had to make the first move. Slowly, she lifted a foot from the ground and stepped forward. The spirit continued to stand still. She took another step, now at the base very base of the stars. The spirit just closely watched her movements, not saying a word or making a move.

Elani, not wanting to get closer to the spirit in case it would become aggravated, decided to talk to the spirit. "My name is Elani Zambrano and you have something I need.." She raised her hand to the spirit and began to speak some ancient Dathomiri words. Words that would bind Durrei's spirit to hers, granting her the knowledge she required.
