DESCRIPTION
Hovad is difficult to prepare but given that it's purpose is to serve as a red colorizing of the metal it's much easier to prepare just enough for this mixture of ores. The titanium is scorched black from this mixture as the temperature must be as hot as possible, and no polishing is put forth into the raw material or the shaped product. The purpose of this metal was to produce something stronger than Durasteel, and while they succeeded in creating this metal, it's difficult to make a stock of it on the level of Durasteel. Currently the market is closed, only given to those with specific reputation among the company, and those who are willing to pay a high price for it. Raw, this alloy looks crystalline mixed with mineral rock, textures mimicking that of Obsidian. This material can be extremely heavy in full suit of armor, and creates a hefty weapon that can feel just right if the weight is centered. The raw material can easily be mixed with other alloys and material if need be, but the company refuses to corrupt this beautiful, weathered look. The word Ge'tal means red in Mand'oa, and given the name Crimsanite in galactic standard. It should be noted that this is also a test stock, plans for stronger alloys are in works with using this new alloy.
