Get off our planet!

valley_of_the_dark_lords_by_pakpolaris-d33hu45.jpg

Location: Korriban, Valley of the Dark Lords
Equipment: Two Lightsabers and Light Gladiator armorweave
Enemies: [member="Dune Rhur"]

Heaving his large body up to the Cliff side Skaarj exhaled as he glanced at the Valley of the Dark Lords below him. It was a shame to see his own home in the clutches of the Jedi. Even with their recent dominion of the planet he could still feel the Darkside permeate in a powerful way. It gave him sustenance as he consumed the dark essence around him. He relished in this! thinking apon is dead ancestors of Old.

Few were the Sith now. Very few. With any luck the Massassi would descend to the valley with haste. The climb down would be Vigorous and now was the time than ever before. He could see little Jedi in sight. Turning his large back to the cliff side he carefully made his way down bellow.

" Katidij! Birthplace iw ri Tsis! Diuj ni oi shiyi tina arsia ra rurzu ri tsakwa iw zûtahori.... Jidai, Scavengers, Looters. Ani wisa shiyi sosûtari ri shataja iw Katidij sarini. Nu waria kizitasa wa oi." He said aloud to himself speaking the Ancient Sith Language.

Some time ago, on Korriban, the Jedi Archaeologist Dune Rhur emerged from a tomb....

Back from the darkness into the bloody red of the Valley of the Dark Lords. Into the dead and wind-swept lands around him, he pulled his hood up against the sands swirling about. Then came the feeling of danger....

Skaarj moved side to side, jumping to rock to rock to get down quicker. Finally he had arrived to the ground below, the Valley. Scratching his head some he looked around feeling another presence nearby. He could not tell who, what or even where but he knew someone was near. It was the force telling him but the Sith did not know this he took it as instinct. So rather than carefully search the tombs around him he began to shout at the top of his lungs to draw out whatever was not within his sight.

" Tadti' imrsas diâ warmursi tu'iyia dujikra! Nu tuti Skaarj ri Wirzûtiasi. Tu'iyia kûts diâ qorit! " The Massassai hesitated to draw both his lightsabres waiting for the right moment.

[member="Dune Rhur"]

The language was unfamiliar but the challenge was clear enough in the angry bellow. It came from above and the Bith shifted his gaze towards the source of the sound.

Casting aside his robe, he drew his lightsaber. Thumbing the activation stud, the blue blade hummed to life and he took a two-handed ready stance. It was waiting for him, trying to draw him out. He wasn't going to rush headlong into whatever trap had been laid. Dune Rhur had a Jedi's patience and he would wait.

The shouting got louder and more clear as the Sith pureblood traveled about the valley. In the distance Skaarj could hear a low hum as he breathed to shout again. He was close. It sounded like a lightsaber. Grabbing both his lightsabers from his belt the Massassai jogged about with a hunch on his back searching for his opponent. Finally by the enterance of an old tomb he saw him [member="Dune Rhur"]. He looked to be a Bith and was adorned in Jedi grabs! Finally a challenge.

Activating both lightsabers the Sith slowly stalked the Jedi infront of him as if the Bith was a Nerf and Skaarj a Vornskr. He waited for the right moment to strike.

" Jidai jiaka." he spat insulating the Jedi before him.

A Sith!

Dune could scarcely believe his eyes, but yes, it seemed his adversary was one of the pure bloods. Once thought extinct, they'd emerged in recent decades from beyond the edges of the known galaxy. This one was a huge mass of muscle, scars and esoteric markings tattooed upon his body. A Massassai of the warrior caste, he concluded, drawing on his knowledge gleaned from years of study. The other castes were nowhere near as huge in size as these nightmarish beings bred for war.

That's the Old Sith tongue, then.

The Sith drew his pair of bloodshine sabers and began to stalk him in a slow, menacing way. He was sizing the Jedi up but Dune simply remained in his same ready stance. Size mattered not for a Jedi and he would not allow the red-skinned being to strike fear within him.

With a quick flourish of his blades Skaarj leaned in for a charge. He did not care if the Jedi was observing him. He cared only for combat and pain. Sweeping his left saber at the ground the Sith made a small distraction as the saber interacted with the dirt causing some sparks and a flash of light from the ground being burned. The Right blade rose high in the air and fell down toward [member="Dune Rhur"]'s right shoulder.

Korriban needed to be cleansed of the Jedi. They did not belong!

As the Sith charged he said aloud in Basic " Whats a Jidai doing on Korriban?!" he asked slightly interested as he attacked.

"Making certain your Sith Empire never rises again!"

Sparks flew from the ground and the warrior's blade fell towards the Bith's shoulder. Except the Bith wasn't there, leaping back a full ten meters. Landing in a crouch, he rose up again. His lightsaber was held in one hand, pointed towards the ground now. With his free hand, he gestured towards the sands and made a scooping gesture.

In between himself and the Sith, a veil of dust and sand rose, obscuring the view between both combatants....

[member="Skaarj"]

Tracking the Bith [member="Dune Rhur"] intensely Skaarj smirked when the alien dodged back to retreat more. " Thats right Jidai! Flee!" Running blindly the Massassai found himself blinded by a random dust strom. Flourishing boith his sabres about his body he took a defense stance in case their was an attack. He walked some waht fast in though he knew he was mostly likely in a trap. One could tell he was eager to have more combat.

The Sith bellowed as he charged into the veil of dust and sand, calling him a coward. But the Jedi hadn't fled the field at all. He stood now on the second level of the tomb he'd emerged on at the top of the steps. The Bith had jumped there with the aid of the Force, his movement obscured by the screen which now had begun to clear.

"I'm still here." he spoke quietly.

He'd affixed his now extinguished saber on to his belt again and, with his free hands, he made a lifting motion. Around him the stones, dirt and sand rose. Then he flung these things, ranging from pebbles to fist-sized chunks, towards the Massassai....

[member="Skaarj"]

Loud thuds sounded from the area around the Sith as chunks of stone fell down at him. Deactivating his lightsaber he covered his head and groaned as several rocks made contact with his musclely body. Tensing up helped ease the damage but still it hurt like hell. Finally rolling out of the dust cloud Skaarj looked around frantically looking for the Bith Jedi. Locating him at last the Massassai extended his hand summoning the force to pull the Alien to the ground toward Skaarj.

" Grrrrrr.." He growled at [member="Dune Rhur"]

The Sith made a grab at him through the Force, causing the Jedi to skid on his heels before he could throw up his hands. Alright, if he wants me that badly....

He lept at the massive Massassai, boosted through the Force, coming down with the Falling Leaf of Form IV. He decided upon the hit and run of Ataru for now, knowing meeting the brute head-to-head was inadvisable.

[member="Skaarj"]

Observing the Biths form Skaarj prepared himself and jumped slightly to intercept the attack. His speed was quite impressive for someone who was large. Bringing up both sabers the Massassai formed his blades into an X like shape to catch [member="Dune Rhur"]'s Saber and lock it against his own. Aiming to drag the blade to his right side Skaarj looked forward to counter attacking once he had the chance.

Dune kept his blade close to his center line now that he was on the defensive. His minimal movements redirected the surprisingly heavy one-handed blows rather than meeting them head-on. The blades crashed audibly and the Bith gave ground grudgingly under the sledgehammer attacks. He could see the gleam of confidence in the pureblood's eyes.

Good, the Bith thought, let him become overconfident. He had a plan now....
