BIOGRAPHY:
The Birth of Innocence
Grayeson Malleus, former military army Captain in the now collapsed Republic, decided that he was done with war and the troubles of the galaxy. He took his pregnant wife, Trilla, and their two sons, Murkio and Sallio, away from the worn torn Core Worlds and settled on the forest moon of Endor, where the small family could live in peace and tranquility. It was hard going at first, since most of the moon was unfamiliar to them, and there was little in the ways for them to trade with the locals. Everything they required to survive had to come from the forest itself, such as food, shelter, clothing, and other basic needs. With his pregnant beloved, close to giving birth at this point, delegated to house duties, it was up to Grayeson and his boys to hunt the forests to continue to provide for the family.
Two months after their arrival, Trilla finally gave birth to their child, a daughter whom they named Geloyra after Trilla's own Mother. Due to some complications with the birth, or perhaps it was a misbegotten gene in their daughter's chemical make-up, the young baby was born with black eyes, void of any color. Even her skin, golden slightly, was different from their species traditional color. Nonetheless, the child was loved by her parents and two siblings.
As far as the lifestyle of infancy goes, the infant Geloyra's was no different than any other child born in the galaxy. However, her fate and destiny, unknown to all of the Malleus family, was in the hands of the Force, where the mystical power would shape her into a powerful wielder of the Force.
Whispers From The Force
By the time Geloyra reached the age of seven, it was known that she was different. Her Father, who served with several Jedi during the glorious years of the Republic, began to see the echos of the Force surrounding his daughter. Young Geloyra was already starting to feel the energy of the Force surrounding her, such as being able to move objects with her mind; and at times, knew when danger, trouble, or other acts were about to take place. Despite these awakening events, she was not in control of her actions. Several times she tried to move objects, only to have them rebel against her will or when danger presented itself, she was unable to pinpoint the exact cause or location. And it was on one such occasion that her gift betrayed her, leading to the death of her older brother, Murkio.
Still young, but filled with the strong emotions of a child, she took the death of her older brother to heart; blaming herself even though her parents reminded her that it was not her fault. Her Father, having fought against the Sith and their puppets, knew from experience from dealing with the Jedi how dangerous such emotions could be. He knew of the Force, but his knowledge of the Lightside and the Darkside was limited, but he knew the Sith swam in the dark regions of the Force and witnessed many times over their atrocities from basking in it. He didn't want his daughter to fall victim to such a horrific path. But there wasn't much he or his wife could do. To their knowledge, there were no Jedi on Endor, and he didn't want to risk his family's peace by trying to reach out to the Jedi Order; though in his heart he knew only the Jedi could save his daughter.
Trilla decided to teach their daughter how to balance the life she knew and the life the Force was attempting to give her by showing her several meditation techniques, farming, gardening, and learning about the forest itself. Her Father, who was against it at first, began to take her on hunting trips with him and her brother. The loss of Murkio was a devastating blow, but the family needed to endure and Grayeson had no choice but to teach Geloyra the art of hunting.
"I'm not saying not to trust these visions, honey, but all I'm asking is that you don't put to much faith in what they are showing you," her Father told her one day when the two of them where sitting on the banks of a river trying to catch fish. "A Jedi once told me a long time ago that the future is always changing. What you see today might be shown to you in a different way tomorrow." Pouting slightly, young Geloyra thought about her Father's words. Then her facial expression changed as she said, "Father, you're about to have a visitor." Her Father looked over at her and was about to reply when he felt his makeshift fishing pole jerk. After a few minutes, he reeled in a really sizable fish. "See Father, I saw that today. I wonder what tomorrow will show me? A bigger fish?"
Embrace Destiny
Over the course of nine years, Endor began to see an influx of offworlders. Most, not all, where here to etch out a profitable life through trading, logging, or other means. However, not all where content on making a profit through positive means. Rumors and stories began to filter in that several slavers had arrived to capture the furry little creatures know as Ewoks, while pirates and smugglers began to erect hidden bases for their operations. And still, no Jedi had arrived. Her Father believed the root cause for their absence was somehow Sith related, but being out of the loop for almost sixteen years, he could only speculate. He decided that his family would only trade with certain favorable characters, while defending themselves the best they could against the unfavorable ones.
For Geloyra, who was two weeks shy of her sixteenth birthday, became quite the little hunter. She was an excellent shot, but for some reason she detested the blaster pistols and rifles, and fianlly settled on a make-shift sword-like weapon where she nearly mastered it. Also, she began to detest the taking of lives, minus the animals they needed for source of nourishment. She, along with her Brother and Father, had had more than a few skirmishes with pirate bands, slavers, and smugglers. Her Father believed, from his days as a soldier, that killing the threat was the best way to prevent it from occurring; and this was a belief she struggled to agree with.
During this time, she began to learn to control her abilities, but they where still raw and unpolished. Several times she asked her Father about these Jedi and if they could help her. And several times he told her no. He liked the Jedi, even trusted them, but he didn't want the Jedi life for his only daughter. But what he wanted and what the Force wanted where on separate sides.
One day while she was out gathering herbs and plants for her garden, a small group of pirates attempted to ambush her. The Force had warned her of the impending danger, so she turned their ambush into a one-sided butt kicking. Standing above them, the sharp edge of her make-shift sword dancing back and forth between the beaten pirates, she was in conflict. Her Father would want her to kill them, but her heart and sense of discarding killing where at odds. In the end, she let them go. A choice she would forever live to regret.
A few days later, while out checking the fish traps she heard several blaster shots from the direction of her home. Dropping the traps and gathering her weapon, she ran toward her homestead, unaware that the Force was enhancing her speed. By the time she reached her destination, her family had been killed, along with some of the pirates. Tears filled her eyes as she stared at her family's bodies. Then she heard a familiar voice off to her right. "You should have killed us wench when you had the chance! Now, your family has paid for your mercy and you, sweet one, will soon join them," one of pirates she had let go said.
Barring her teeth, growling and snarling loudly, she gripped her weapon tight in her hand. Something deep inside her snapped, as if all she could see was death and pain being dispensed by her hand. When she finally broke free of whatever took control of her, the remaining pirates had been slaughtered by her, prompting her to fall to her knees, cupping her face into her hands, and cry endlessly. When the feeling of loss passed and subsided briefly, she buried her family and begged for their forgiveness.
Two days after her birthday, she stood over the graves of her family, vowing to do whatever she could to protect those that could not protect themselves. She would learn of what had happened to her on that day where she lost controlled. But in order for her to do all she was saying, she needed to seek out the ones that could help her. She would seek out these Jedi.
