BIOGRAPHY:
For as long as he can remember, Ged was the child of a farmer. From a young age, he worked on food plantations for the Empire with the rest of his family. He knew that his mother, who was pregnant, couldn't work as well as his father, so he tried to work as hard as he could for her sake. In time, Ged's mother gave birth to a daughter. A few days after the birth, a man claiming to be a Jedi came to the farm, asking to see Ged's baby sister. He told them that she was going to become a Jedi. In his excitement, Ged asked if he could go with them as well.

The Jedi said that he had only come for his sister. Ged lost it at this point. He began shouting at the Jedi, begging to go with him. He had even threatened to kill his sister so the Jedi had to take him instead. Of course, by the end, he had humiliated himself and the Jedi had gone with his baby sister anyway. Ged fumed over it for the next few weeks. He became more aggressive during that time, constantly repeating the mantra that he should have been the one to go away with the Jedi. On a particularly bad day, he became very angry and, in a fit of juvenile rage, began to attack some of the farming equipment. Unfortunately, a rather important Sith Lord was in the vicinity of the farm, and could feel the young Ged's rage. He came to the farm and invited Ged to become a Sith, like him. Over the years, Ged was taught to hone his rage into the Dark Side, and use it to kill. When the time came for him to become an apprentice, he made a small mistake in one of his trials and ended up getting scarred on one side of his face. From that point on, he insisted on wearing a mask for any situation.

One can be force sensitive without parents who were, the Jedi being very clear evidence of this.

If that were the case the title of Jedi would be hereditary and the Jedi would not practice celebacy. In fact they would encourage the opposite to allow the force sensitive race to avoid extinction. No, one does not need any paternal line to become force sensitive. In fact, many who are force sensitive do not have parents who are.
