Approved Tech Garrus Garon's Heavy Beskar'gam - Personal Armor

Status
Not open for further replies.
Intent: To create a personal set of Beskar'gam for Garrus Garon
Development Thread: None
Manufacturer: Mandal Motors
Model: Heavy Beskar'gam
Affiliation: Mandalorians; Clan Garon
Modularity: Minor
Production: Unique
Material: Beskar, Armorplast, Armorweave
Description: This Beskar'gam is the personal armor of Garrus Garon. The Beskar'gam follows the standard of laying plates of beskar overtop armorweave to create a durable suit of armor that is both lightsaber and blaster resistant. Armorplast has replaced the durasteel components of the armor allowing for comparible amounts of protection from the material as well as a lesser weight. Due to this being a heavy beskar'gam it is somewhat restrictive in terms of flexibility to accomodate the high amount of damage it can absorb.

The Beskar'gam is painted a dull green and has the insignia of the Garon Clan on its shoulder pauldrons. The color scheme assists the wearer in blending into darker environments, especially outdoor areas. Aside from the standard features such as a comm link the Beskar'gam is outfitted with some other modifications. (See Other Features below)

While Heavy Beskar'gam is incredibly durable it is also extremely heavy, more so when all modifications are taken into account, and only the strongest Warriors dare wear it into combat.

Strengths: Lightsaber resistant and Blaster resistant
Weaknesses: Weak points in the elbows, knees and armpits. Weight/Bulk.

Classification: Multipurpose, anti-lightsaber and anti-blaster
Weight: 32kg (base); 24kg (after all features are taken into consideration including the 25% base weight reduction due to the armorplast which would remove, essentially, 8kg from the base weight), 21kg (removal of the Micro Grenade Launcher)
Quality: 9

Other Feature(s):
Armorplast: Upgrades the durasteel component of the Beskar'gam with highly durable, lightweight, armorplast. This provides, essentially, the same amount of protection while reducing the weight of the armor. Normally it can reduce weight by 50% however as it does not replace the main component of the Beskar'gam, Beskar, its advantages are lessened to roughly 25%.
Helmet Package: Air Scrubber, HUD with Friend/Foe Designator, Infrared Vision, Ultraviolet Vision, Night Vision, Rangefinder, Noise Dampener System, Light Sensetivity Filtration System
Diagnostics System: A series of sensors and simple computers that monitor both the armor and its wearer. Diagnostics systems can be displayed via the helmet hud.
Vacuum Seals: Includes airtight gaskets around all joints and simple life support equipment that adds 2kg of weight. Allows the wearer to survive for up to 10 hours in the vacuum of space or any other hostile environment.
Shield Generator: A deflector shield generator built into the heavy armor giving it the same kind of protection starships and some battle droids enjoy. Due to the bulk and power requirements it is not possible to instal anything but the smallest generators into a suit of armor. Operates for upwards of an hour however the more damage it deflects the faster the energy cells powering the generator will deplete. Adds quite a bit of weight to the Beskar'gam while granting additional defense against lightsabers and blaster weapons.
Weapon Mounts: The Beskar'gam has a dedicated weapon mount for a Micro Grenade Launcher over its left arm. A micro grenade launcher is a small, portable, weapon that fires miniaturized versions of grenades quickly and with a minimal amount of training. The micro grenade launcher can hold a total of four miniaturized grenades and must be reloaded after they have been fired.

Alright. Weak points, Quality, and your description are good, but your weight is a touch high. Drop it down to 24 kg and it'll be golden.

Alright I dropped the modified weight to 24kg. I actually got the weight of 32kg from the Star Wars RPG Scum and Villainy sourcebook so I'm not complaining if it needs to be lighter, lol. Hope it works now.
