Garrick Silvain is a warrior who has seen the worst of Quarzite's protracted war. He once fought for his people, but now, as Rogue Four, Specter, he serves the High Republic. His Kage heritage is evident in his white hair, pale skin, and striking red eyes.
The harsh realities of war have left their mark on Garrick, both physically and through the gleaming metal integrated into his body. These cybernetic enhancements have made him faster, tougher, and gifted him the power to wield lightning, yet they also blur the lines between his humanity and the machine.
No longer just a shadow in the dark caverns of Quarzite, Garrick has become a spectral presence among the stars. He moves with silent lethality, a phantom dedicated to the fight for freedom.

Garrick Silvain hails from the crystalline caverns of Quarzite, where he was raised in the near-martial tradition of the Kage Warriors. From a young age, he was trained in the arts of stealth and combat, mastering the use of darkness, silence, and speed as his primary weapons. For many years, he served his people, fighting on the front lines of the ongoing war against the Belugans, acting as both a soldier and a protector of his subterranean kin.HISTORY
A pivotal moment occurred during a mission against a Belugan convoy. Deep within the caverns, Garrick and his unit found themselves ambushed. Outnumbered and cornered, Garrick fought valiantly to shield his comrades, but a collapsing crystal spire, brought down by Belugan explosives, crushed him. Pulled from the wreckage, he was left broken, paralyzed, and near death. His people lacked the resources to save him, but a High Republic medical team, stationed nearby to oversee Quarzite's trade routes, intervened. At the insistence of his clan, Garrick agreed to undergo experimental surgery.
The High Republic surgeons rebuilt Garrick with advanced cybernetics. They restored his nervous system with an occipital link, reinforced his muscles, fitted him with advanced optics, and installed regenerative protocols to prevent further damage. These modifications, however, did more than just save his life. The neural link heightened his reflexes and sharpened his senses, granting him the formidable ability to manipulate bioelectric energy, projecting it as bolts of lightning. Reborn as a cyborg, Garrick felt both gratitude for his survival and a deep unease, his Kage heritage now intertwined with technology he had once viewed with suspicion.
Unable to fully reintegrate into his former life, Garrick offered his services to the High Republic as a way to repay the debt for his life. His exceptional skills as a pilot and warrior quickly garnered attention. His cool, calculated effectiveness in the cockpit led to his recruitment into the clandestine Rogue Squadron. Taking on the callsign Specter as Rogue Four, he embraced his new identity as a phantom that exists between worlds, no longer entirely Kage, not fully machine, and never entirely free from the echoes of Quarzite.
