Intent: Close-quarters back-up weapon for brawling with various targets.
Development Thread: If needed
Manufacturer: Gotal'Veman
Model: Gar'Marev Knuckledusters
Affiliation: Open-Market
Modularity: No. One supposes you could wrap parts of it in leather for a more comfortable grip on the palm, but otherwise no.
Production: Mass-Produced/Minor Production - Depending on variant
Material: 2 Variants. Both are a durasteel alloy combined with either of the following:

  • Ostrine - Extreme cold and, after repeated contact with surface, frost-bite like effects. Mass-Produced.

  • Ionite – Due to it's unique properties, this variant could, with several strikes, disable shields and electronics and shut down or damage droids. Minor Production.
Classification: Knuckle-duster
Size: Hand-sized
Length: Slight variance from model to model dependent on hand-size
Weight: Around 1-2kg per set, dependent again on hand size and the like
Special Features:

  • Heavy, they will pack quite a punch even without the specialized material effects

  • Ionite variant will sap/interfere with shields and electronics and disable/destroy droids

  • Ostrine variant causes painful cold sensation and eventual frost-bite like symptoms
Description: Heavy, crude, cruel. These devices are designed for the last ditch back-alley brawl or the brutal up close approach. Nothing in them seems to scream elegance and sophistication, like many of Gotal'vemans productions. These are weighted to where one would need to practice with them to effectively throw a good punch, but once adjusted to the weight they will find they strike considerably harder if not as fast. Thanks to the addition of either ostrine or ionite, they will pack a nasty surprise of one type or the other depending on what they are hitting. They can be reliably carried in a bantha-leather case designed to fit most galactic standard belts, or from a durasteel ball-chain necklace (much like modern dogtags are on Earth), whichever the buyer desires.
