Galen has spent the majority portion of his life working to perfect his martial skills and force-related capabilities, making him an exceedingly skilled combatant with extensive knowledge and ability with both the force and mundane combat.
Because of his unerring dedication to those areas of study, Galen also possesses a significant lack of ability when it comes to other skills, such as piloting, firearms, and computer related tasks.
Blind Warrior:
As a Miraluka, Galen is not hindered by the traditional weaknesses of the sighted races. Bright flashes and total darkness have an equally nonexistent effect on him, and he is immune to vision-based illusions, whether created by technology or the force. He also eschews his own species typical reliance on force sight, preferring instead to hone his existing senses to such a level that he does not require the use of that power, and alternatively utilizes the force to bolster the range and efficacy of his natural perceptions.
In spite of these benefits, the heritage of the Miraluka also has its drawbacks. In particular, he finds it exceedingly difficult to discern holograms or decipher the contents of a display screen, and things that may be readily apparent to others at a distance may escape his notice entirely.

Galen’s primary weapons, this pair of blades was hand-crafted by Galen himself and is as much a part of him as his arms or legs. Due to this connection, he is able to channel energy through the blades without dedicating extensive focus to the task, allowing him to utilize powers involving the blades just as he would with his own body.
Various thrown implements:
While his skill with firearms is severely lacking, he often counters this weakness with the use of thrown weapons, ranging from Vrakolian spin-blades to simple knives balanced for the task. He is also adept at augmenting these weapons with the force, granting them a significant increase in both velocity and damage caused.
