Personality: Galen is a very idealistic person who enjoys seeing the best qualities of events and people, often romanticizing their qualities to a degree in order to make stuff sound significantly more fantastical than it is. Despite this, in more serious matters he can have a much more stoic approach to matters that one would not think he had. Galen is also a very social person and defends people who have difficulties due to his strict moral code and will defend innocents and his comrades no matter what. He has good posture due to his rich upbringing and very polite manners when dealing with other people, but for close friends he has a more laid back attitude and jokes around a lot.
Appearance: Galen is slightly taller than the majority of men and has a slimmer, but muscular build. He often wears the loose, breathable clothing of his home planet Naboo due to his discomfort in tighter and heavier clothing. He has a few scars from fishing in the seas of Naboo, but no other significant tissue scarring on the rest of his body. He has green eyes and messy dark blonde hair that he rarely bothers to fix up.
Galen Seyley grew up in a relatively rich, yet secluded fishing village on Naboo near Lake Country. His father, Jordan Seyley, played a major role in the politics of the region which gave him and his children quite a bit of local fame. Galen had many privileges and often went out to the capital city of Theed though never took it seriously, often instead playing with the children of other senators and congressmen who had been dragged by their mothers/fathers to these meetings. Though not learning much in the ways of politics, Galen did gain many social graces in his trips to the capital; learning how to respect his superiors and his peers, how to get along with others, and how to woo others into his good graces.
In his teenage years Galen often snuck out of his house without his fathers permission into the village to go and learn from the fishermen of the village. They were the ones who taught him his boating skills and how to swim and hunt, only making his passion for the sea grow more. However once Jordan found out where he son was sneaking out to, he chastised him and confined him to the mansion for a lengthy period of time during which his father tried to train his sons discipline with sports such as wrestling and heavy education. This only harboured his desire to go out to the sea and he would often lose focus staring out at the lakes outside his estate. This punishment lasted until his late teens until Galen's father deemed that it would be safe for his son to go out to sea, albeit with only the most skilled fishermen in the entire village, Geralt Morrissey.
Galen paid more respect to the old fisher than he had anyone before him and listened to every instruction he had taught him. They started out with smaller game such as common fish and occasionally larger aquatic animals. Galen kept trying to convince Geralt that he was ready to go out for larger prey but the old fisher never let him. One day however Galen's impatience and overconfidence got the best of him and he left late at night to go hunting. Going in his father's best hunting submersible he went out to the deepest parts of the ocean hoping to hunt some large game. Eventually he found what he was looking for, an opee sea killer. He immediately harpooned the beast with the submersible, but it did not die immediately, instead rushing towards Galen's submersible and taking the vehicle into it's jaws, tightening it's grip on the ship.
Galen was able to force the beast off the ship temporarily by sending electricity through the harpoons connected to the monster and it attempted to flee, but was pulled back by the harpoons holding it to the ship. It made another rush towards the submarine, but another harpoon into the beast's palate took it down for good. Galen had a smile a mile wide when he heard his mentor call him on the radio demanding to know where he was. Galen bragged about his catch, but it didn't calm down Geralt's mood. The connection began to waver because of the damage the opee had caused to the hull of the ship. The last thing Galen heard before he felt the hull getting crushed around him was colo.
There were holes in every spot of the hull all heavily dented with sharp teeth jutting in from some of them, he looked out of the front window and saw only juts of light that pierced through the teeth of the beast. Galen made a mad dash to the aquatic suit in order to swim up and get away from the monster, but he was thrown back as it shook the submarine in it's jaws. As he slammed into the side of the ship Galen felt a sharp pain in his side, as he looked down he saw a small tooth sticking out of his abdomen. He grabbed the nearest piece of metal and cut the tooth out of the beasts jaw as he fell to the floor. The ships hull was beginning to fill with water and it was too damaged to salvage so Galen had only one choice. He shot out of the submarine using a small underwater oxygen tank in order to gain distance form the beast, but it was only a small amount. He saw the massive creature, but it didn't see him as it was busy with the opee sea killer. Galen pulled out his underwater blaster and aimed for the leaking fuel tank. As it exploded, the beast reeled back and swam away with a massive trail of blood and gore following it's path.
Galen looked at it in pride before another shock of pain hit him in the side as he looked at the tooth still buried in his abdomen. He swam as fast as he could to the top, ditching his blaster and grabbing a piece of metal from the wreckage of the explosion. His vision began to blur as he made his way to the surface of the sea and a dozen meters before the surface, Galen's vision went black. He suddenly regained consciousness and shot up to sitting up, his back covered in sand as he coughed up water. It long enough to process how he was still alive before noticing the figure to his side. It was an older man but he had a certain aura to him that made Galen trust him. He tried to stand up to properly introduce himself but then the pain returned in his side, the old man warned him not to move and that his father and mentor would be there soon with a medical droid as Galen lost consciousness again.
Galen woke up in the medbay in his house with his side completely fixed, leaving only a significant scar where the tooth was once fixated. He looked to his side again seeing the old man, whom his father introduced as a Jedi master and seeing the colo claw fish's tooth on a counter which he since kept as a trophy. The Jedi then left to talk to Galen's father and it was reluctantly agreed upon that Galen would go and join the New Jedi Order.
