Galactic Superiority - Tournament for the Cosmos

Tera Lush, one of the greenest planets to exist. Beautiful in every sense, and deadly on more.

A bright sun shone directly over the arena where warriors would begin gathering. Messages had spread far and wide, planet to planet and then system to system. Only the best fighters were to arrive, and when they did the battle for Galactic Superiority would begin.

Galactic Superiority, a tournament 3 years in the making, that would pit enemies against friends and lead one person to truly claim the title of Galaxies Best.

Began by Kasamann of the Fringe, the tournament would test every basic aptitude. First being strength and agility. The warriors would all begin on the ground, wielding whatever they came with and bearing any armor they packed. From the trees will come a continuous Force Push, seeking to slam to the ground - thus making it impossible to finish and then be disqualified.

The Push itself wasn't just a joke either, bearing down on all from the strength of numerous Masters. Kasamann had held nothing back, seeking top dogs from all walks of life to aid in the program.

But where was the purple centaur?? No one knew, for recently he had been captured by the Omega Protectorate. Thus the fact the games were still on, and still deemed ready to go, was surprising.

Morganians were meant for stealth, speed, and flexibility. Strength? Not so much. But put one in one of those fancy Heavy Exoskeleton armor suits and TA-DA, you've got a strong warrior. Things get even better when you add two lightsabers to their arsenal. Which meant that a certain Empress of Dreams had a fairly good chance of doing quite well on this first challenge. Or at least that was the hope. Now, you're probably wondering who this lass is. What her name is, how old she is, all those usual details. So, since you asked so nicely, I'll tell you about her: Her real name is Tai'ko Vin. She's distantly related to the royal family of Morgania (home of the alcohol-loving-space-elves). Thanks to dreams she experienced while in a coma, Tai usually goes by Vanessa Nacht Seele. Only a few know about her 'true' name. Those that do call her by whatever they personally prefer. Currently she's twenty two years old, but she spent three of those years trapped in a dream land. Unknown to her, her body is inflicted with cancer yet again. That won't stop her now. In time perhaps, but now, no. For she had a 'job' to do.
AKA a race that needed winning.
Now, how exactly did Tai'ko the Dreamer plan on doing so? Slow and steady, to avoid wearing out, or fast and hard, to try and blaze past the competition? Neither were wise. Go to slow and your opponents will overtake you. To fast and you'll tire quickly. A mix of both would be the best option. "Good luck ladies," Tai teased, eying those around her. Not long after that the signal to start was given. Instantly the lass could feel the pressure of the force pushing her towards the ground. Scowling she did her best to ignore the odd sensation. It was like gravity had doubled, the planet desperately attempting to pull her to its surface. Attempting to get past this she let her armor take most of the effort over. Even with the plated exoskeleton moving was quite difficult. Not that it was surprising. One did not prove 'Galactic Superiority' without overcoming immense challenges. Having multiple master-level force users creating artificial gravity definitely fit in that category.
If the first task was this difficult... What would the other two be like? Tai'ko was confident in her abilities, but there were still plenty of things she couldn't do. The probability of her winning this tournament was slim to none. However it would be a great learning experience, along as a good way to test herself. Who knows, maybe if she did well enough her teachers would promote her to the Knight level. Though that would only happen if she used the force in the games. Depending on what came next, she would either have to rely on the force, or not use it at all. At the moment she was only using it to get a good grip on her surroundings. All of her focus remained on the goal in front of her. With each slow, careful step she reached out, making sure to confirm her footing before moving ahead. One little mistake could cause her to go tumbling down. And with how hard those forcies were working, once she got down, she'd stay down. After all: An object at rest tends to stay at rest, and an object in motion tends to stay in motion unless acted on by an outside force. In this case Tai'ko would keep moving until she either reached the end or succumbed to the earth's pull.
Already others were struggling. Men and woman that were of no concern to Tai drug themselves forward. Someone had fallen to the ground with a loud 'thump'. They groaned, knowing defeat was imminent. It was saddening, really, that one would fail so early on. Perhaps at some point the lad or lassy would rally the strength to get back up. Even then it wasn't likely they'd win. For a task like this you needed endurance. Both mental and physical strength. Pushing past the roar of your aching muscles would get harder by the second. Eventually thoughts of giving up would start to crawl into your mind, slowly eating away at your commitment. Logical reasoning would remind you that sometimes the reward is not worth the effort. Fatigue would set in... your eyelids would feel heavier... your breathing might slow down... everything would quiet. Something like this took a lot of willpower. And if there was one thing Tai'ko Vin had, it was just that. The ability to push past things. To just get her job over with, while still doing a damn good job at it. Dozens of weeks spent training would finally pay off.
Turning her head to look at her companions the Morganian smirked. They might as well call the whole thing off and hand her the prize now. There was no way that she'd give up. This was her fight to win. "Y'all should give up now! I'll be claiming this victory," She said, flashing another toothy grin. Her pearly whites were shining bright, and in another situation they might even be capable of blinding a passerby. Luckily for fellow warriors, it was not bright enough in the arena for any light to be that bright. Instead it merely reflected off her teeth for a brief moment. And in that moment I swear a thousand hearts swooned, suddenly finding themselves in love with a certain pointy-eared lass.
