| 904 ABY |When the Second Galactic Alliance fell at Atrisia, scattering its institutions to the stellar winds, the Jedi who refused to fade into exile faced a stark choice: remain guardians of a dead ideal, or become defenders of a living remnant.
They chose to stand in an unprecedented compact with the Galactic Federation of Free Alliances, these Jedi have been formally commissioned as Special Military Officers, binding the light of the Force to the duty of the soldier. They are the Jedi Command, a beacon of structured hope in a lawless age.
This is not the Jedi Order of Coruscant's spires. The great temple is lost to them, a symbol of a past where peace was a mandate. In its place is small undiscoverable outposts, that serves as a defense against the Sith Empires.
From these outposts, the Jedi Council now firmly styled as the Council of Strategic Reconciliation, coordinates not just philosophical guidance, but military deployment. Their ancient duty to protect the innocent is now executed through fleet manifests, intelligence briefings, and joint operations with the Defense Forces.
While commissioned officers, Jedi Commanders operate under a unique Doctrine of Integrated Authority. They are empowered to lead troops, command vessels, and make critical decisions in the field, wielding their mastery of the Force as a tactical asset.
Yet, they remain subservient to the theater's Supreme Commander or General in all overarching strategic matters. This resolves the gray between Jedi autonomy and military necessity, a Jedi may see the path through the Force, but they must convince their commanding officer of the strategy.

~ Frontline Battlefield Commanders (Jedi Officers)
The most visible integration. These Jedi hold formal commissions (typically with the rank of Commander or Major) and are assigned to lead elite units such as Special Forces teams, Marine boarding parties, or Army Pathfinder companies. They use their precognitive reflexes and heightened awareness to direct troops in the chaos of battle, acting as a formidable force multiplier.

~ Special Operations & Direct Action (Jedi Specialists)
Attached to the Special Forces branch, these Jedi form the tip of the spear for missions deemed too sensitive or dangerous for conventional troops. They specialize in high-value target extraction, deep-cover intelligence gathering on Force-sensitive adversaries, and neutralizing dark side artifacts or threats. Their missions are classified, and their success often hinges on abilities no ordinary soldier possesses.

~ Sentinel Corps & Force Investigation
This unit handles internal and external threats of a uniquely sensitive nature. They investigate crimes involving the Force, track down rogue Force-sensitives who threaten Federation stability, and serve as the primary counter-intelligence force against enemy dark side adepts. They work closely, and sometimes tensely, with the Strategic Intelligence Branch (SIB).

~ Medicorps & Chaplaincy
Preserving a core tenet of the Jedi Order, these officers provide critical support. Jedi Healers serve in advanced medical frigate bays, treating wounds and psychological trauma that baffle normal medicine. Jedi Chaplains formally Morale and Resolve Officers counsel troopers, mediate conflicts within the ranks, and work to uphold the spirit of hope and justice that the Federation claims to fight for.

~ Archives & Strategic Analysis
Knowledge remains a weapon. Jedi Historians and Analysts work within Intelligence, piecing together ancient prophecies, Sith lore, and historical tactical data to predict enemy movements and strategies. They maintain the fragmentary Remnant Archives and advise high command on the broader, often hidden, patterns of the conflict.

~ The Training Corps
With no safe Coruscant Temple, Jedi Knights train the next generation in hidden dojos aboard mobile fleet elements or on remote wilderness worlds. This corps is responsible for the dangerous duty of identifying new Force-sensitive recruits within the Federation's population and military, and training them under the harsh, pragmatic doctrines of wartime.
Their curriculum blends lightsaber combat, military fieldcraft, and the absolute necessity of maintaining one's identity against the darkness of conflict.
