Rationale:
Bolo ball, Lemmie, Meshgeroya, are all names that describe the sport that had been known as the beautiful game. During the Gulag plague organized matches ceased to exist and only took place between individuals who wanted to play the game for the sake of their own enjoyment. at the end of the plague the galaxy was nearly as blank as a slate could be. Governments began grabbing at power like children in a candy store and the weapons and arms dealers thrived. War of course brought a serge in medical industries and support companies that are always needed when violence reigns supreme. However, one thing seemed to take far longer to bounce back from the galaxy wide epidemic, Bolo Ball. while sitting in a bar discussing a local match between two teams, [member="Freynk Porkins"] and [member="Paddy Quick"] realized that the market for organized sports had as yet not been tapped to it's full potential. On top of that the movements of sports teams was seldom questioned which opened up even more possible options for the less than dynamic duo.
Freynk then offered a job to [member="Leena Mai"] to help them hire some players that they could pack on Paddy's rust bucket ship and begin pitching the idea to various planets around the Galaxy. Thus far they have exactly two teams, The Savrips and The Junkers, consisting of 11 players each in an Old dirty stadium on the salvager paradise of Ord Mantell, but they can literally only go up from where they are. Unless they follow their usual string of luck and suffer a failure of average proportions.

The Galactic Bolo Ball League is currently slightly, well, epically short of galaxy spanning but as the name suggest they have high hopes. As a private company they have no direct ties to any one government and in the name of sportsmanship and obviously capitalism they consider themselves completely neutral. The current league is actually only two teams owned by the same people that goes from place to place in the local star system putting on sporting events at relatively cheap prices. In a galaxy that seems to be on a constant roller coaster of who is fighting who for what the common people have leapt at the chance for some wholesome entertainment and the league is only to happy to take their money, I mean, provide the entertainment. The current teams are The Mantellian Savrips and The Worlport Junkers. The headquarters and stadium is on the Ten Mile Plateau in an abandoned Stellar-Energy Station.
The league has now begun travelling to close by systems putting on games and trying to convince local governments to back the creation of teams for the league. Meanwhile, Freynk, Paddy, and Leena, who can't seem to ever do anything the easy way are also using the travelling to cover smuggling of illegal or stolen goods from system to system with hopes to expand into other areas.
