Gaisa is one of many sisters born to a prominent merchant house on Kuat. She was educated and afforded many luxuries as she grew up, traveling extensively with her mother to trade guild meetings and treaty signings. Although Gaisa was extremely smart and business savvy, she did not enjoy business nearly as much as she did political discourse and meetings.
As a liaison to Garqi regarding trade of caf through her family's merchant house, she was introduced to Duke Cyrus Theron, an exiled Coruscanti nobleman who had purchased large caf plantations and made a name for himself as a businessman and local politician. The two courted briefly before they were married and Gaisa gave birth to their daughter, Aurora Theron.
As Aurora grew older, Gaisa began to get involved in Cyrus' political dealings, eventually seeking office herself of often greater positions. In true Kuati fashion, Cyrus sticks to running the extensive plantations while Gaisa tends the political influence of her family and the Theron name.
