Description:
The Furaribi-class Starfighter was based upon designs of the Saboath Starfighter as well as remnants of the Galactic Empire's modality of combat: overwhelming the enemy with superior force. In order to reduce production time and cost as well as allow for more powerful engine systems, the hyperdrive and shielding systems were removed from the design. Furthermore, the two laser cannons were replaced with ion cannons in order to allow the Furaribi to be used as a tool of enforcement, rather than combat.

An impressive starfighter for intercepting enemy starfighters, the Furaribi provides the crucial anti-starfighter capacities necessary in order to enforce effective system control, considering that the opponent simply has small vessels. In larger combat settings, due to the presence of more extensive anti-starfighter weapons on larger warships, the Furaribi loses its effectiveness and thus, falls out of favor from officers. Thus, the Furaribi has fallen into the role as an enforcer and patrol craft within secured systems.

The Furaribi-class Starfighter utilized strike-foils, similar to the T-65 X-Wing Starfighter, in order to allow it travel such immense speeds and utilize its weaponry simultaneously by dispersing excess heat. The strike-foils also provide atmospheric stability, allowing them to fly into atmospheres with the same maneuverability as they do in space. Without the strike-foils extended, the Furaribi can only use its medium ion cannons, which is usually sufficient for its purpose as a system patrol craft.

Intent: To create a "back-up" interceptor used to defend the homeland of the Inari Shogunate. Its combat efficacy is limited, especially in larger combat settings and conflicts, due to its extremely weak defensive systems, and thus, the Furaribi is used more so as a deterrent and an effective tool in eliminating pirates and smugglers within the territory of the Inari Shogunate. It is also used, as akin to the Saboath Starfighter, an escort to heavier starships in combat (for extended example, 2 Saboath Starfighters were used to escort a single Saboath Defender).

These are starship grade weapons. You can list Light ion cannons or just Ion Cannon in attack craft submissions but not Heavy IOn Cannons.

These are large craft for a squadron count this high. Please note that This will be ok as is, but for squadrons count on a ship 2 squadrons of these will equal 3 normal squadrons.

[member="Kitsune"] Small Interceptors around 5 meters with about 4 weapons ISh. There is no hard rule dictating it just more how much room they would take up. Think Defender-class fighters or Eta-2 Actis-class interceptors or smaller. A-wings and stuff 8 meters and bigger will be usually 12 per. Stuff over 20 meters or stuff that has a pilot and copilot are most times 6 per. But not always. This fighter is as bigger than a Y-wing and a B-wing which are usually 6 to 12 per squadron depending on the model.
