From training to battle

A T R O P O S
Korriban

I didn't like this place already. The sands of the training area we were in were in my boots. And I was training against some apprentices who could hardly stand straight, or even hold their weapon the right way. As such, I was allowed to stay off in my own corner and use my sword.

Swinging at the proxy droid who was using training sabers, My sword was still faster than the programming for the droid. Dodging almost all of the attacks and slapping the lightsaber away from me with my own sword. I shook my head as the droid took a step back. Only to try and stab at me with both sabers at the same time. I spun around the sabers, and with a flick of my wrist, sent my sword cleaving through the droids neck joints, and letting the heavy head thump to the ground.

The droid fell to the floor with the lightsabers deactivating. I shook my head and sheathed my sword for the sixth time. All six droids that I had killed previously were laying on the ground with bits and pieces strewn in about a 5 meter area.

I shook my head. I was done for the day if I had to keep fighting droids that were at the same levels when I was a youngling.

Training grounds,
Korriban
Mission: Befriend and assassinate the blue haired swordsman.

I watched closely as the apprentice opposite corner to myself fell 6 training droids as a matter of training.
He was quite easy to find considering his namesake, but that had always been the easy part for me.
Following this karker was the hard part. I had to follow him all the way to this training ground filled with the most novice of swordsman.
It was nearly infuriating to see how bad their stance, footwork and hand placement were. That's when the shrill voice of an instructor caught my attention.

"You, new blood step into the training circle, stop messing around."

I dislike being ordered by my lessers.
Of course the opponent in front of me was the most annoying, I parried his blade with every jab and clumsy slice. I was becoming impatient with this I moved forward and bluntly hit him with the hilt of my training sword square in the forehead as I quickly tripped him with my foot felling him to the ground. He grasped at his face.
That was easily the best part of the mission so far. It hit me then that this may be in my favor I would eventually gain the attention of my target.
After 3 more training bouts (If one can call them that.) I was beginning to get bored

"Is there anyone else more qualified?"

I stood around. Waiting for someone to fight me. I wanted a real challenge. But most wouldn't even dare come near me because of my namesake. I was the son of a Lightsaber duelist, and I showed it. Some say I was better than my father at my age. He said himself that I may one day surpass him. And I hoped to do so. I will become better. I will become stronger than him. I just hoped to see the day with my father by my side. I breathed in as others were being pitted against one another. I stood back and watched as one man in particular was doing very well. Having three challengers defeated easily.

However, he was harsh on the last man. Walking over, I helped the man to his feet, and gave him the towel that was over my shoulder. Turning to the man as he called for a challenger worthy of his skills, I smiled brightly.

He would receive his answer by the drawing of my sword. I held it aloft in front of him. The blade forged by my fathers hand using duraplast, and mulline. Keeping the blade strong, and true. Sharper than any blade could possibly be. It was not a toy. It was a tool. A tool of war, and destruction that would rain down upon this man.

"You have your Challenger Sir."

My target approached the ring with a half cocked smile. That alone was enough to amused me. As I prepared to face him he drew out a real blade, even for a rookie that alone was an insult among swordsman. He must have meant business or was incredibly stupid, I will assume he meant business.
"If you wanted a real duel you need only ask."
I smiled as this was just a faster way of getting my task done. A quick duel, and my blade shall accidentally slip in the heat of battle.
"One moment."
I moved to my own bag revealing my own blade a large double edged sword. A purple jewel given to my by my master sat at the middle of the blade. Shadows seemed to writhe in the darkness of the gem. The blade forged by my master, yet to be alchemized was still heavier than most blades. Forged from duraplast and agrinium I was sure it could stand even the heaviest of blows.
"Now, shall we duel?"
I planted my feet into place ready to move while at the same time ready to launch a counter attack. Left hand on beneath the right, I hold my sword low as I move lower to the ground. I was ready to fight

I smiled as the man brought his own sword out. However it was rather menacing from the looks of it. This man was no student. I could gather that much. He was something more. The way he treated the other students, the way he fought was all aggressive. This man was here for something more than just a fight. I just had the inking of a feeling that he was wanting me.

We stood barely out of each others weapon arcs. Our sword tips would have barely touched if we were to swing them together. My hands flexed. Anticipation for the battle. My heart raced. My mind was moving a million miles an hour. I focused upon the force. Becoming one with myself. His last words asking if we should duel came to my perfect ears.

Adrenaline surged through my veins. The force blew through my body. In a blur, I had launched myself forward with a strike to the mans left shoulder. My feet moving in conjunction with my arms. I took a backstep while my arms retracted, and then slashed at his right side. My left hand pulled off of the sword I held, and sent a force push towards the man's chest.

"Does that answer your question?"

As I readied myself for the oncoming attack I could sense his power surge, he launched at me blade swinging towards my shoulder, I had narrowly had enough time to dodge to the right using force augment. His blade narrowly missing by centimeters. I wasn't however expecting the force push aimed at my chest.
The force landed square and launched me about 10 feet from where I was. The push forced me off balance as I tumbled back into the dirt. The people around us began to notice this wasn't a practice match anymore and ran towards the exit.
I could feel their fear as they ran, then that's when wisdom hit me. I would be able to use Teras Kasi on this opponent.
Then quickly rose to my feet as I attempted to delve into the mind of my target. Like water flooding towards his mind my onslaught would attempt to pierce his thoughts and betray his movements, ideas and feelings to me. I raised my blade to deflect any oncoming attack. I wasnt very good at this technique yet, but I was willing to bet he had even less experience than I.

"Your pretty good with a sword. Let's see if your mind is as sharp as your blade!"

My thoughts surged forward like a river through the floodgates attempting to pry into his mind.

Buffing the man back with my force push felt great. However, the loud boom informed everyone that this was no ordinary battle. This would be one that would be ranging everywhere. And possibly not stay in the training grounds alone. As the man stood from falling over onto his ass, I smiled and brought forth my blade. Only, I could feel himself swelling up in power. He was going to do something towards me, And I wasn't going to like it. I started to run forward when I could feel a sudden assault on my mind.

Domination over my mind. He wanted to hit me where I may have not realized he would be aiming for. His comment made me angry. I could feel my temper raising as he continued to assault my mind. How was he doing it? Sensing me? My father had told me that people could inflict their will upon others by mere thought alone. Was this man versed in this?

I was trying to block my mind from him. It wasn't working. Each time I tried to make a barrier in my mind, he would blast through it. Instead, I changed. I released my hold on a barrier. Letting him see what I was thinking. Seeing how I knew he was something more than a simple student here. Instead, I began to turn on him as I walked forward. Using my own thoughts, I shoved back. I shoved at him with the feelings of my family. I had to survive for them. I had to fight for them. I continued to better myself to protect them. If I couldn't best this man now, then I would never be able to protect my sister, my future family.

My face contorted from pain to anger. Anger of this man daring to attack me. For my family. I pushed back. Using my own strength and prowess to fight back at his mind.

"We will see how sharp it is when I cut out your tongue!"
