DETAILED SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Mount Slot: There's a lovely mount slot on the bottom of this Flechette repeater that allows it to be mounted to bi pods, tripods, and so on for stability. This really makes it the ideal weapon for mounting on top of hardback vehicles, filling the role of E-webs or even just as make-shift anti-infantry turrets.
  • Faraday cage: Essential electronic components are protected by your standard faraday cage.
  • Microrepulsors: When she isn't being mounted, this weapon has microrepulors that make her a little more manageable in weight.

Strengths:
  • Heavy damage: This Flechette launcher is designed to consistently dish out damage over a prolonged period of time. As long as you keep feeding her flechette rounds and hold down the trigger, she will keep shooting (Bar the whole thing getting slashed to bits with a saber or shot to pieces with other guns) The point is, the cooling is pretty great against overheating barrels and other maladies. Also, she's made with a lot of Mando grit--so she can take a fair amount of abuse and keep on fighting.
  • Faraday cage: As part of her durability this FRG has her essential bits protected with a Faraday cage against Ion and EMP attacks.
Weaknesses :
  • Bulky, heavy: The Hellion's power comes at a cost, a huge cost of weight. Only the heaviest, strongest, and most powerful troopers really should carry this, and your average human is going to still tire from carrying it. Even wookiees, Herglics, and the like got pretty exhausted from carrying this badboy around all day.
  • What is Accuracy, precious? The Hellion is great at sending a bulk of damage down range. If you wanna chew through hoards of people charging you, use the Hellion. But if your psycho Jedi or Sith friend or whatever decides to charge into the fray all Force-Lord and everything... You probably don't want to shoot this into the fray (Unless you wanna replace that Jedi/Sith/whatever)
  • Lengthy arm/drop time: It takes a lot of time to put the harness on and stuff--and taking it off is pretty lengthy too (For combat time that is). Its not as easy as pulling it out of a holster or dropping it. So, I mean, using this thing is nothing to take lightly (pun intended).
DESCRIPTION
As a young boy, Ardgal Raxis' fondest memory was of watching his father use an antiquated but still deadly Reciprocating Quad blaster on their foes that would come charging down at Alpha Company in times of war. In addition, the writer of said character really loves them too. For these reasons RMIA decided to bring this weapon into the modern era of weaponry.

Here's how it works. The wearer straps the Hellion to their chest using a harness and a few buckles. Micro repulsors keep the thing from being unbearably heavy, but its still pretty heavy. The user fires by simply pulling the trigger. The four barrels rotate in firing to keep any of them from over heating, sending Flechette rounds down range and blasting the heck out of whatever it is that your shooting at. There are no fancy grenade launcher attachments and no scope attachments for this weapon so that's pretty bare-bones as far as upgrades go. Your other choice is to mount it on something like a biped/tripod or some other thing you can bring and go to town. Obviously the problem here is its stationary, but it gives some increased accuracy and reduces exhaustion by a long shot.

All in all its just a cool upgrade/take to a classic cannon weapon.
