Fresh off the Boat

The Sasori mines were here with things they could use as Matsu was working with Nico. THe talented knight had gone through a lot of things before she was using the information from the sasori gloves she had made that could function as the basis for the upgrades to Nico's glovees and her own. The reactive materials being traded out of them while more attention going to the force enhancing and hardening. The jedi knight had her aegis gauntlets built up and on the table while they were mining more of the ore while it was going through the refinement process and Loomed into the materials.

Nico rolled her shoulders while she was in there working. Gathering phrik for the channeling gloves her cousin had made well they served a purpose but with her padawan she had been working on a number of the things. Offering a small grin to herself though while she was working and pushing the repulsor sled. "Well what kind of plans do we have with all the new edicts?" She was curious because well Quinn was a skilled padawan and Nico had been working hard with her and with Lily to really make them into talented jedi. She didn't want to have to let them go off and be endangered helping out ones who might not have their backs.

"I do not know." She had been doing a lot of work towards some of the things and moving forward with all of the work well she would just have to let it go and move forward. There was a lot of jedi padawans in the galaxy and a lot of ones who preferred a lot of things they could do. She trained the ones who came to her so they would be able to survive within the galaxy. She was putting a lot of the harder work to a company vote before looking over the phrik in the mines. "But we'll have the supplies and things we need that will help when the time comes. The jedi will always have a home with us as well while we hope Corvus will return one day."

"Well you know me, I might not be the best or brightest but I rather enjoy my new life and my padawans are important." Nico was moving and had the gear while she was looking over the sled's contents. "Plus it will be quite nice to have these within the order. I am just glad to put this phrik to good use and hopefully with my padawans get some more things. Lily had taken to saber gauntlets just as well only without the shielding." She was proud of her padawan and Lily was great even with her father who was awesome and everything going well. She had been working with the shielding and the jedi lightshields were more protective then the generic one she had gotten.

"So you are liking these padawans now that you have been able to take them on. I am proud to see you are doing better there. It was touch and go for the longest time it seemed and we were all worried about you Nic." She said his old name, his old one before on Atrisia while just looking over the girl with a small smile and getting the phrik out she brought the sled to the lift taking them back up to the ship with a smile. "It should all be fine though you have a cousin with some skills and know how to handle yourself now. If we see you slipping your family can intervene to protect you."

Nico looked at her and sighed thinking about it as she had things she didn't talk about. Her master hadn't seemed to care beyond accelerating her training to get her to knight fast... It had been a trying experience and felt like she wasn't wanted except by her family. "After Iella I have to think about things. She pushed so hard to get me to being a knight so she could go back it felt like I was a burden more then anything. So now that I have padawans looking up to me it is all important when it comes to some of the things." She was looking at the phrik in the sled while picking up some of it and looking at the gloves. "THis will help with the new upgraded shields. These gauntlets will serve to protect people."

"The old shields in those gauntlets were basic and not really that impressive. They could barely last against saber and blasters. The light shield the jedi use for dueling and training is far superior and adjustable in the size of it. Should be able to convert it into something better given the properties. I won't say it will work on everything but compared to what it was ten to twenty times better. Now come on, we'll get this phrik into the processing machines and work on installing the last of the upgrades. The added protection should have boosted power systems and shielding will give you a lot of things to work with." Matsu had a grin on her face while going up towards the workshop they had.

Nico was looking at her and arriving she could see more things. "Yeah, it was an old mining shield or something, great for protecting from heat but against blasters and sabers it was no where near that good. I had just found it and installed it. Now have had a chance to work with some of them and learn the differences between the shields. In this case a xythan augmented with a light shield to provide plenty of power and I can adjust the length to a meter and a half to protect myself if I really need to." She finished speaking and went over towards the equipment while pushing the sled and started to unload the ore for processing, She removed her gauntlets and had them on the table to get some of the micro shards implanted into it later.

Matsu went over to sit down and look at the gauntlets while she was bringing out her tools with a small grin. "Well the phrik we have been working on and gather to it. The shields you have given can work with some of the things like so." She was looking at her with most of her attention on some of the things. THe shielding units Nico had found and been converting to use over the basic shields were far superior compared. "We'll be able to install the new shields so you can make different sizes within the light shields abilities. The secondary ones will be able to be used on you and those power cells we made for the toolkit to power it will come in handy here." She was working and tinkering as the processing machines were working on the phrik as she removed the old shields and set the new ones with power cells into place.

Nico sat down with her and she was working on her gauntlets. The crystals she could work and insert as a small look came across her face with most of he attention and then some ideas. Nico held the one and tested it while the twin blades on the gauntlet were giving a nice gap between them, the shielding unit activating and enclosing around her with a tingle across her skin. "Well at least these work and we should be able to augment the power systems." She was working on it and installing under her wrist the modular tube to hold on one hand the paddle beamer and on the other a focusing force crystal to fire off force shots. The tinkering with her cousin went on focusing and letting attention go to a number of the things as they were building up the sabers and fixing up the casing.
