Fox or a mongoose?

"Alright, today's catch is simple," Zarro started as he sat in the cargo area of his ship. Around him where four other beast tamers, simple men who had come to Verres Trading Co. to make their living in the bossiness of trapping beasts for trade. And today's catch might prove to be quite different from an ordinary bursa run. "We are going after a creature known as the Corallus." He slid a set of datapads across the table to the other hunters.

After giving the men a moment to read the information, Zarro tapped on his own pad and brought up the image of a monster Tranquilizer rifle. "This Chiru rifle was loaned to me by the beast hunter's guild and we'll be using this to take down the target. Maren, you'll be taking the shot since this is a bit large for me. Understood?" Maren, a large Togorian, gave an understanding nod and started to study the specs of his new weapon. "Any harm comes to that gun and its out of your paycheck. Also, we've got eight shots but try to only use three. Speaking of which, we'll also be trying to take down three of these snakes. One for the client, and a breeding pair for us."

A hand raise and Zarro turned to see his personal assistant, Serra. "Yes?" Serra cleared her throat and began to speak. "Might I ask where this mission will be?" He nodded and tapped around the datapad again, bringing up the planet of Dxun. "I was just getting to that. We'll be headed to the jungles of Dxun where the snake likes to reside. While wee're there, I suggest that everyone be careful. These snakes should be fairly sneaky in the dense foliage so keep your ears alert. They're blind and thus they rely on echolocation but their poison is likely to send you into hell itself so try not to get bit. Now, are there any other questions?" After a few inquiries and explanation the team as set and Zarro prepared his things. "So, everyone get ready, we'll be landing in about five minutes."

Five minutes later, the ship landed and the cargo doors opened, allowing the hunters to exit into the Dxun jungle. "Also, catch any Malraas that we come across, those would be a nice addition as well." Four nods and they continued on into the jungle. Another day, another hunt. With a quick look around, Zarro prepared himself for his own duties. Saber, check. Team, check. Belt, check. Aerial view... His legs bent then launched him into the air. In a ping-ball like fashion, the Amaran made himself to the lower canopy, just high enough to keep an eye on the surrounding area without having the lower branches impede his view. "Faeris, take point." A wiry framed devaronian gave him a salute and started to scale the trees as well, doing a very good job considering that he didn't have the gift of the force to aid him. As Faeris reached his own area, the group set out once more, the canopy scouts leading the way.

Deeper and deeper into the jungle, the hunters traveled, each one keeping their eyes and ears peeled for any rustle in the pushes that might provide a sign of their targets. Of course, this was the Dxun jungle so there were a lot of rustles in the bushes. Still this rag tag group was a rag tag group of professionals so each distraction only lasted a moment. That is of course until they heard a yowling in the bushes. "Secondary target, get ready." Zarro turned his senses to the force while Faerin worked to find the Maalraas. It didn't take him long to sense that there were multiple threats and after saying such to the Devaronian scout, the employee soon spotted the moving grass. "I want them alive. Inverted crown, now!"

Zarro leapt from his perch, the black furred paws touching the ground just before the other hunters gathered around in a large back to back formation. Moments later, the group of beasts leaped from the pushes, their lithe forms racing for the hunters. "Light em up!" Each man drew their own stun rifle, even Maren who kept the tranquilizer strapped to his back. The forest lit up with yowls and stun blasts as the group fire round after round.

Of course, the Maalraas gave a hell of a fight and it took a lot of scratches until the group felt they were ready to enact the second part of their plan. After a very painful scratch on his arm, Zarro kicked away the offender and shouted to his employees. "Now!" Each person leapt forward, reversing the role of the attack and placing themselves around the Maalraas pack. After that, they simply increased their fire power, shooting shot after shot to contain the targets until the Maalraas could barely walk. "Neera!" The fourth member of the team, a female Togruta stepped forward with a net gun before firing onto the group. Several stun blasts later, Zarro was finished with his attack and in front of him lay a ball of red skinned creatures, ready for pickup. Tapping into his comlink, Zarro spoke to the fifth member, an iridonian by the name of Soron. "Alright Sorov, setting the beacon come in for pickup. New cargo is four Maalraas." Even as he spoke, Zarro wallked past the creatures, tossing a tracking device into the bundle. Quick and efficient. Such was the way of Amar's beast trader.

"You got it boss, I'm on my way," Sorov's voice called through the com waves. Nodding to the others, Zarro continued on into the forest. Sorov would do his job and recover the package. But for now, the group had bigger targets to take down. Leaping back to the canopy, Zarro joined Faeris on his scouting. They would have continued on, except there was the little problem called mother nature. Something was always being hunted and whether the Corallus thought it could take on the Maalraas or if the Maalraas thought they could take the Corralus, he had no idea. What he did know was that the snake was currently coiled over his advancing squad and preparing to strike. "Everyone, move!"

In a moment, everyone in the group dispersed, jumping to the side. The fastest was Serra, likely having sensed the dangers on her with the sensitive ears of an Amaran. Nerra was close behind her, but Maren. Big old Maren the msot appetizing target was also the slowest. The snake struck and for a moment it would seem as thought he Togorian was snake food. Until of course, Zarro pulled out one of his oldest tricks. Calling upon the force, the old fox pulled the cat man out of harm's way. Still, Zarro wasn't done. With a simple force push, Maren was shoved back into the beast, only this time he was prepared. Wrapping his broad arms around the beast, the Togorian started to hold it down, refusing to budge even an inch as he tried to choke out the creature.

"Maren, hurry up and take him down!" The corralus was flailing in anger as he had expected but he could still see it doing something else. The creature was starting to wrap around Maren, slowly regaining its ability to think about the hunt. "Sir, I can't use the rifle!" Ok, that should have been obvious, but Zarro still had a plan. Reaching into his coat, the old Amaran pulled out an extra shot and hurled it to his friend. "Stick him" The hope was that Maren would catch the object and defend himself wit it, but there were a number of things that could go wrong. Especially the possibility of Maren stabbing himself on accident. "Please don't stab yourself... please don't stab yourself!"

Once, twice, three times the tranq round flipped through the air. Then, it slapped into Maren's hand, as if the togorian were holding a knife. After making sure he had a tight grip so that it wouldn't fall out, he drove his fist downward, stabbing the needle deep into the Corralus' bloodstream. Then, all of a sudden the thrashing slowed down, as if by magic the Corralus slowly sank back to the ground and within moments, it had passed out. "great job Maren." Zarro beamed at the work of his strongman before calling in his pilot. "Alright Sorov, second pick up ready. Beware, this is a main target. Sedated, but dangerous all the same." A wisecrack later from the Zabrak and the group left to search for another one of the creatures.

Following a signal from [member="Zarro Verres"] (he contacted me) stating that a Corallus was ready for pickup, Mrrew sent a message to the client, who had requested to pick up the specemin themselves, rather then accepting delivery.
