Follow the Force (Kai Sargas)

[member="Kaï Sargas"]

Location: Voss

As the Jedi Knight walked through the grounds of the Silver Jedi Temple he was on his way to meet with his newest student. A young Dathomirian who was very interesting in the ways of the force, mainly force sense. Something George knew and could use, but not a master of. However there was things the Nautolan could do and that was teach the young man lightsaber techniques. Something George prided himself on.

As he made his way into the garden it was a quiet day, the noise of the people in the temple was drowned out by the sound of the breeze in the trees and the birds chirping in them. It was peaceful and lovely. George sat down and began meditating as he waited for the you man to arrive.

Kaï didn't want to be late for his first lesson with his new teacher Master [member="George O Rourke"]. He rushed to the garden, arrived there he started walking slowly as he wanted to respect the peaceful silence. Kaï sensed the presence of someone meditating, he approached the person, without any doubt it was Master [member="George O Rourke"]. He took a seat beside the Nautolan '' My greatings Master.... I hope I am not interupting your meditation''. He said in whispers.

As George could feel a presence joining him he waited, a voice whispered to him as he prepared to rejoin the reality again. "No my young friend, just passing the time." He replied gently as he opening his eyes and seeing his new student for the first time. "So Kaï I take it?" He asked as he looked at the man in front of him, He had no doubt on who he was, just ensuring everyone was on the same page.

As George made his way to his feet the breeze flowed through his headtails, cooling him. It was a nice feeling and the tranquillity had left the Nautolan ready for the training of his next student.

Kaï smiled and replied '' Yes it's me Kaï ''. He stood up , looking confident and proud '' I am looking forward to this, I will put in the dedication and all the effort I have. After you will be done training me and I will become a Jedi Shadow, I want to be able to sense everything so I will be stronger even thought I am blind.''

He lifted his right arm in the air as a fist, to show his determination to achieve his dream. He didn't want people to judge him based on the fact that he was blind. Kaï wanted to show every one that him being blind is just an advantage, because he wants to be better than people who still have their eyesight

Kaï had an interesting aurora about him. One of pure energy and goodness. He already seemed dedicated and the training hadn't even begun. It seemed that the young Padawan had already surpassed his skills in force sense, using it to help his every move. In George's mind, one of the pros of being blind. "That it what I like to hear." George replied as he listened to the Padawan insist on becoming a Jedi Shadow, something George was too involved in. "It seems like you have a pure goal in sight, I will do my best do turn you into the Silver Shadow you want to be." It was not the time for George to reveal himself as a Silver Shadow. In time Kaï would find the truth, but for now. He had to focus on the basics.

"Alright come along, there is much to do." As the Nautolan Jedi walked towards a more open area of the Garden. George always liked to start off with the simple of lightsaber techniques, Shii-Cho. He had placed hidden droid turrets around the garden, he could control all of them through the use of the force, allowing for a precise training. Kaï however was unknown to his for now. But his training would soon begin, and George could see how strong he really was.

Kaï was happy that his new master saw the good and potential in him, he wanted to make him proud. '' I am great full to you master''

He followed his master, arrived there he had the urgent need to show his master how good he was... well what he remembered mostly. He took out his saberstaff and took steps back , he spinned his saber from side to side, this was all that he could really do, for now. '' Now the training begins I guess, I'm ready!''.

Kaï concentrated on his surroundings , focusing on the movements of any thing he could sense.

"Alright Kaï we'll start off with some deflecting. Have you trained in any of the lightsaber forms? Or would you like me to show you first how what I am going to train you, Shii-Cho?" The Nautolan waited as Kaï swung his sabrestaff around, it wasn't bad, not at all. But it needed refining it was a little loose, something a Jedi Shadow could not accept.

George had experienced much in his time with the Coalition and being trained by the Silver Jedi helped George completely. He liked to follow how his teachers trained him. This was the beggining but soon they would be off world searching and what would happen? No one knows.

'' Humm... I read about Ataru, Form IV... I am good on the offensive and performing jumps... But I lose balance most of the time''.

Kaï , tried to perform a front somersault, as he landed he was losing balance, but managed to remain standing up. '' But , I would much appreciate if you would teach me Shii-Cho.''

Kaï would learn first of all Shii-Cho, before learning Ataru.

Kaï had made a good choice, although Ataru was a good form and he seemed to have the agility for it, but he needed to learn the basics first. Something George loved to do. "Alright, after we teach you the basics through Shii-Cho, we'll teach you Ataru." George said with a smile. "Alright, the Shii-Cho form is the most basic form and covers pretty much everything, attack, defence and range. It uses downward strikes against melee opponents and is very useful at deflecting blaster bolts." George moved into the middle of the garden, in between all the hidden turrets he had placed earlier.

"Alright, I'll show you what Shii-Cho is capable of with ranged attacks." He said as he pulled the blue hilt from his belt and ignited the blue sabre. George then engaged the droids as they popped out of the bushes and began firing. George was quick off the mark dodging the first round of blaster fire before deflecting the incoming blaster bolts. With blaster bolts coming from all directions he needed to find a place that allowed him full view of all the turrets. This he found on the edge of the garden.

The next round of shots came flying at George with two being closer than the other two they were first to be deflected. This time George aimed for the turrets, trying to disable them. One hit, one of the turrets was disabled. Only three more to go. It was time, the next volley allowed George time and space to attack all three turrets. He deflected all three blaster bolts at the senders disabling all the turrets.

As he returned to Kaï he spoke. "You're turn now."

'' Okay... Well here goes nothing...'' . Kaï took postion in the middle of the garden, there he started walking slowly in a circle, focusing on his surroundings, to be able to block the droid's blaster shots.

He was nervous, but remembered to stay confident and to trust the force as it will flow through every movement he will do.

'' I'm ready let's go.''.He took his lightsaber, for the first round he was successfully able to block blaster shots coming towards him one at the time from every direction. For the second round Kaï had to make good use of his saberstaff as it was an advantage, being able to block two shots that are coming from different directions at the same time.

Now Kaï wanted to deflect the blaster shots towards one of the turrets, he block the shot but it only damaged the turret and not destroyed it, he tried to use the force to throw his saber towards the turret. At the same time he jumped in the air dodging two blaster shots, as he landed and pulled back his saberstaff he deflected one blaster shot destroying one droid.

George watched as the Padawan deflected the blaster bolts, it wasn't too bad, but it seemed a little too tight. As if he was nervous, the movements didn't seem to flow although they were done well but overall it seemed that Kaï was a little stressed over the situation. "You're doing well Kaï, just keep steady, breath and follow your instincts. Loosen up a little, your movements look as though they are forced." The Jedi Knight said as he continued to watch. Kaï performed a backflip before landing and deflecting one of the bolts back at the turret. That was pretty good. Will make a good Ataru specialist one day.

"One down, three to go Kaï keep your head and focus on where you want to deflect the bolts. Keep it simple. That is the way of Shii-Cho." The voice from the sidelines echoed once more. George obviously liked the style, but Kaï had to remember, this wasn't about giving it your all, its about saving energy. Standing and delivering with return fire, well if possible.

KaÏ listened to his master telling him to calm down and breathe Cm'on Kaï focus you can do it just, take a deap breath. Kaï loosened up ,he was standing still, a blaster shot came up behind him he turned quickly and deflected the shot towards one of the turrets. 2 shots came at him, he spinned his saberstaff and deflected one shot towards the turret.

'' Alright one to go...Let's see if I can detect the the last turret'' . Kaï concentrated , he started walking near the edge of the garden, he was calm and in control, the turret was 20 feets away, it fired a shot and Kaï deflected the shot, redirecting it and destroying the turret.

'' I think this was not so bad... Right Master?''. He tried not to seem cocky at all, because when he achieves something good, he automatically wants to bragg and he wants to work on it so he remains calm and not always excited.

"You did well Kaï." The Nautolan began. It was true, he had done well to fight off all of the turrets. But there was a few things George noticed. "It was good, but remember this is a training exercise, from here we'll move onto harder things. Refining as you go makes everything a lot easier. Feel the force, let it guide your feet, your arms and your lightsaber. Don't try and fight the movement, it becomes edgy and out of sync, then you'll have problems." He finished as he discussed the training with his newest Padawan.

"Now do you want to try some Ataru, some jumps, dives and flips?" He asked the Padawan. He expected the answer and readied himself to leave for the next area.

Kaï was glad to hear that he did well, but when he heard what his master told him he realized that it was the truth. Kaï was sometimes unsure of his movements and where the force guided him, he tried fighting the movement sometimes, but... At this point there will be no more fighting it.'' Yes Master you are right... Sometimes I do fight against the movement, at this point I shall stop fighting it and embrace it because it is the only thing that I still have to help me succeed. Thank you for the Advice.''

A smile had been drawn on Kaï's face as soon as he heard his master say if he wanted to practice Ataru, He was sure that he will become a master in this combat form, he just loved doing the jumps, the flips and dives. Kaï rushed to follow his master towards the next area. '' Master , the reason why I love Ataru so much is because when I am performing thosee jumps and flips, while attacking the opponent... It's like if i wasn't even thinking about any of the movements I'm making... L-like every movement I perform is a surprise to me! I move swiftly''.

People said that Ataru was one of the hardest forms to learn, but Kaï took the determination to be able to learn it, for him.. This was much more than a combat form... For Kaï it was the best feeling he could get.

As Kaï replied with the expected answer George and Kaï headed off to the next area. This was a large field that would give them plenty of room to move around. "Alright Kaï for starters we'll move around without our lightsabers, get to know the movements, get to know where to be." George wanted to take it easy as it was a tough style to learn and even tougher to master. And in saying that George was no master of Ataru. He knew it and could use it, but when it came to using it against a skilled fighter, Niman was more his style. He excelled more at the Jar`Kai versions of most styles as he had trained with duel lightsabers for sometime.

"Alright, are you ready?" He asked the Padawan.

[member="George O Rourke"]

'' Alright ,it would be for the best to''. Said Kaï as they entered the big area, he was excited for tthis, he felt that his master saw great potential for him in the Ataru form.

Let's do this Kaï!

'' I am ready!''. He said as he bumped both of his fists together.

George started in the Ataru stance, only without his lightsaber in hand. He then swiftly moved into a quick flip that would position him behind the opponent that would have been standing in front of him. He continued to jump and dive around. Swiftly and somewhat effortlessly. His composure helped make it easier, and being able to focus purely on the lift off and landing it made it much, much easier.

After a few minutes of George jumping around effortlessly he jumped and landed behind his Padawan. "Alright your turn now Padawan." George said as he waited for the Padawan to head off and practice his flips and tricks. "Remember the key with Ataru is to keep moving. Get into a position to strike your opponent down from the side or from behind. It is the best place to be. Keep on the attack and keep them feet moving." He finished as Kai began his training.
