Focusing Oneself

Training Room #B

Katrina stood patiently waiting for @[member="Marek Starchaser"] to arrive. Since their little adventure in the forest Kat had taken it upon herself to help him more with his connect with the Force as it seemed to be lacking. If he focused she saw that he could do it and find what he wished but he seemed to rely on street smarts more and common training. The Force training seemed to be something he could use more of and Kat was more than willing to help him. It was better they do it one on one than in a group.

She didn't have a major plan in mind with this training or a real schedule. Kat instead was going to go with the wait and see approach. She would work on whatever he felt he needed help in or what she thought he needed. Kat better than most would be able to help him tap into his thought, feelings and the force. One thing she did want to help him with was concentrating and blocking out the rest. The fact that he had issues doing this made her think that he possibly was a little bit of an empath as well.

And where were the spiders
The whole idea of meeting with Master Garnier after the trip to the forest wasn’t a bad idea. Sure, he needed to keep his thoughts about her close to the vest, but it wasn’t his fault she was beautiful, right? Just had to make sure he wasn’t going to get himself shot for anything he said, or did. To say Marek was excited for more training was an understatement. He really was looking forward to it. There was a lot he knew he wanted to learn.
He was working on telekinesis, and from what his father, and older cousin always used to say, it was always the Starchaser forte. The thing he needed work with was definitely Force Sense. With people, with energy, with whatever he could learn. If he could learn to sense energy movement, that would do him very well, mixed with his telekinesis, he would be pretty unstoppable if he could work something through with protecting himself, or draining someone, stunning, and throwing.

What if he could drain the Force right out of things? Or the power out of everything? That would be another useful skill. Approaching the training room, he opened the door and the Starchaser entered, giving a polite bow to the master. "I'm sorry for keeping you waiting."

"It's no problem at all," she smiled at him. Kat had gotten here early as she didn't want him to be waiting for her. She always hated making others wait on her even if she was the elder in this situation. It didn't matter to her plus wasn't she supposed to be preparing for this training session? She hadn't but that wasn't because she didn't take this seriously because that was wrong. The young master took all of this very seriously as she knew he took this seriously or at least that's what she was hoping. He did after all ask for this so she was sure he was interested.
It had been a very long time since she had trained a person. The young woman was used to actually training animals but working with him shouldn't be that different and in truth Kat was happy actually having someone to speak with about all the was going on. She didn't along with many people but he seemed rather nice. "Tell me, what is it that you want to learn? what are you having trouble with?"

Well, at least there wasn’t much to worry on with being late here. It was nice to deal with people who were calm about everything. Sure, he was hanging about with Ket Van Derveld a lot, as well as his own Master, Isley, but Marek was a survivor, and the best way to do that? Learn from everyone. Have the best of all worlds to get information from and to learn the best approach.

Sure, Marek knew that as Starchaser his Force powers were going to develop how they would, telekinesis, tutaminis, and whatever pushed its way from him with the extra energy he was going to absorb, but he needed to learn to sense the world. Sense the opponents, sense the friendlies, he was a marksman, and how good of a Force marksman could he be without actually knowing where and when to pull the trigger. Or not pull the trigger, as the case could be.

Smiling at the Master, he nodded. “Well, I’m hoping to be able to make the bonds the Force is famous for. I’ve been reading, and its all over the place. My family worked in the service of the Galactic and Fel Empires, and they would be able to touch the pilots in the Force, making them one super team.” And he was reading even more. “And galactic history is showing the Beast Riders of Onderon. That whole bonding seems very useful.”
