TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
  • Classification: Multipurpose Warplate.
  • Weight: 18 KG (Total weight of combined armour pieces, exterior attachments not included.)
  • Quality: Eight (Heavy Armour.)
Energy Weapon Resistance: With the multitude layers of protection offered by the reinforced Duraplast and Duravelx plating, Flex-armour, and the Self-Contained environment of the Armourweave and Duravlex bodyglove, the FO-02 Stormtrooper Armour provides a significant resistance to energy weapons. Utilizing the density and inherent reflective properties of the Duraplast, combined with the inherent heat-resistance of the Duravlex, along with the reinforced ceramics and Durasteel (Comprising Flex-Armour) the Combat Armour can safely withstand and disperse a Blaster’s particle bolt. (Provided the discharge was not unleashed from a Medium Laser Cannon or a Disruptor.) With the previously explained capabilities of the Armour’s primary plating, the FO-02 Stormtrooper Armour can endure glancing blows from a Lightsabre. Direct applications of the aforementioned plasmatic weapon will encounter heavy resistance from the composite alloy before atomizing the molecular bond and sundering the armour plate(s). This resistance does include the ability to withstand projected flame weapons, as the curvature of the plate and it's inherent ablative properties does not allow the ignited propellant to adhere to the surface and will roll across the surface of the Stormtrooper, leaving them unharmed and undaunted by the spike in external temperatures.

Kinetic Weapon Resistance: With the combination of the heavily reinforced Duraplast and Duravlex plating and sections of Flex-armour, the FO-02 Stormtrooper Armour offers a substantial projection against the terminal lethality of various projectile weapons, and safely dispersing its kinetic kick-back over a small portion of the Combat Armour. Though this can defend the wearer from a multitude of slug-based weaponry, varying from archaic Slugthrowers to the significantly death-dealing Vepine Shatterguns, it is unable to fully safeguard the Stormtrooper from harm. Due to the tenets of Newton’s Law, if struck by a high-powered rifle - the projectile may not penetrate the armour - however the physical energy (If not absorbed by the integrated shock padding.) will leave the Soldier within heavily bruised, and/or suffering from internal bleeding around the impact site should the projectile prove to exceed overly-fatal velocities.

Sonic Weapon Resistance: Due to Sonic weaponry having become more commonplace upon the battlefield, and proving its effectiveness in the shadows by various Assassin’s throughout the ages, the FO-02 Stormtrooper Armour is one of the first in a new line of Combat-rated Armour to offer some margin of defense against these deadly weapons. Using both a passive and active system of ‘noise’ cancellation, through the utilization of the integrated cellular padding and the sonic dampening overlay built into the bodyglove, the Stormtrooper Warplate is able to produce a subtle harmonic resonance that would interfere with the pressure wave discharged by Sonic weaponry. While the active negation system doesn’t entirely disperse the alternating periods of compression and rarefaction, the passive negation system is able to absorb the more weakened blast through the cellular design of the Shockpadding, leaving the Soldier relatively unharmed.

Melee/Shrapnel Resistance: Falling back on the materials used in the construction of the lusterless ivory Warplate, the FO-02 Stormtrooper Armour is more capable of offering excellent protection from various melee weapons (Ranging from primitive to the more exotic.) as well as an exceptional defense against Shrapnel and Flechette rounds. The caveat to this near-perfect method of defense is entirely dependant on where the Wearer is struck, as Flexibility is a standard requirement in modern battle armour, the joints are more susceptible to damage than the more heavily armoured plating. (Also factored into this typical drawback, is the types of grenades and flechette rounds employed by various Governments throughout the galaxy.) Thus, having learned from the mistakes of the ancient past, Modern day Stormtroopers and Soldiers in service to the First Order - the premiere Imperial power within a Chaotic galaxy - can defend themselves more effectively than their ancient kin against the ravenous natives of Endor, and enemy soldiers that seek to cause them harm.

E/WAR Resistance (EMP/Ion): With a veritable hoard of sensitive electronics and military-grade technology built into the Combat Helmet of the FO-02 Stormtrooper Armour, this delicate latticework - akin to the Soldier entombed within - requires it's own method of protection due to the rising popularity of EMP and Ion-based weaponry across the Galaxy. Therefore, acting in accordance to the designer's whim, the entire suit of Warplate was outfitted with Anti-Ion mesh and various other resistant materials so that the wearer will experience little to no disruption in the constant feed of tactical data scrolling across their Glasteel visor. During the testing phases of this model, it was noted that the closer the wearer was to the source of the EMP/Ion discharge (In grenade/explosive pulse format), the less effective these implemented methods were. From a distance, there was a small chance of static rippling across the visor, and from a closer range, it was noted that the display was rendered inoperable and had to be rebooted.

DETAILED SPECIAL FEATURES

Helmet: Since the days of the Clone Wars, Stormtrooper Armour has undergone minimal changes in its aesthetic and construction, only suffering from modifications to the various phases and their templates. For the First Order, such a truth would play out once again as much of the internal systems have been fully upgraded and brought up to modern standards while keeping the same overall design through the marvels of technology. Therefore, by the previous models, the FO-02 Stormtrooper Helmet is constructed utilizing a Four-Layer Design.

The first and most prominent tier are that of the reinforced Duraplast and Duravlex composite armor. This was the primary method of protection that the suit offered its wearers, and would allow the Trooper to operate safely on the battlefield, without falling prey to enemy snipers. The second and most important layer to the delicate latticework of military hardware installed within the Helmet was the Anti-Ion Mesh and Magnetic shielding. Utilizing various conductive materials, the Anti-Ion Mesh, along with the magnetic shielding, would safely disperse the highly charged ionic particles of an Ion weapon, or shunt the oppressive surge of Electromagnetic energy discharged by a pulse. The lingering radiation would then be sent towards the rear of the suit which would then vent the accumulated, residual heat and repurpose the ‘charge’ to extend the Operational life of the system’s impressive array of systems.

Cellular shock padding was implemented into the final layer of the Helmet, solely to fill the dual purpose of comfort, as a Stormtrooper would be wearing their Helmets for prolonged periods of time. And for concussive dispersion, as most weapons wouldn’t penetrate the sturdy exterior plating may very well result in a fatality due to the kinetic impact. Thus, with the padding in place, the kinetic damage is safely dispersed throughout the helmet. (Which entirely depends on what’s been fired, the ammunition that’s been used, and the projectile’s trajectory.)

Helmet Systems: A Soldier’s greatest weapon in the field is his mind, and Information is its ammunition. With the Stormtrooper’s Helmet having humble origins, only to evolve as new and innovative technologies had materialized, the FO-02 Battle Helmet boasts some of the most advanced targeting sensors and communication suites in the Galaxy. Thus, this new Generation of combat armour sought to give those that wore the lusterless ivory warplate all the data they would need; to not only supplement their martial prowess but to survive on the battlefield.

The first and foremost detail that dominates the rest is the Helmet’s circuitry impregnated glasteel visor. Housed within that crystalline, machine-forged screen, was a modern variant of the Multi-Frequency Targeting and Acquisition System. While little of the program’s functionality had changed throughout the centuries, the capabilities were refined and continued to remain as the premier visual augmenter throughout the Universe. Combined with micronized cameras along the outermost edges of the visor the Helmet’s onboard computer can read the facial features of its wearer and respond appropriately; meaning that the Helmet can utilize both Blink and Voice commands to cycle through the various visual sensors. As well, the inclusion of the camera’s can provide a measure of security to the device, by reading the various encoded facial features of the Trooper within. If the wearer's features don't meet the implanted, biometric requirements, the system purges itself and become nothing more than an oversized paperweight. This was meant to counteract the mistakes of the past, as various generations of Stormtrooper Helmets were bereft of this system - making Imperial Military Secrets prime targets for Pirates and Seditious Individuals.

With the tactical setting being the primary state of the visor, the holographic presentation displays any and all relevant data that a soldier may need while operating in the field. For example, the screen would display the information pulled from their IFF transponders to highlight their allies in a soft emerald light, while labeling possible targets in an ochre yellow and known hostiles in a bright, vibrant crimson. This would include a small feed of data that’s relevant to any targets outlined before them. Be it their Serial Number, Outfit, Known Aliases, Possible Threat Level (Determined by Blood Pressure, Heart Rate, and Facial Markers.) and if it involves known Technology, it includes the acquired knowledge and possible uses that apply to the device, weapon or vehicle. In addition to people, the integrated probability processors passively scan the environment to determine possible avenues of ambushes and the severity of whatever threats the wearer may encounter. As the Infrared/Thermal, High-Frequency Sonar, and Low-Light Imaging software are self-explanatory, their additions to the modern MFTAS system are essential to permitting the wearer to see clearly through various poor visibility environments - the most prominent examples being Smoke, Rain, and Snowstorms.

Included in the primary visor setting, were several scanner systems that heightened the User’s situational awareness - allowing the Trooper to map his surroundings and actively scan for shrouded and cloaked targets. This would ensure the survival of the Stormtrooper as they spread the glorious tenants of the Imperial Truth to the darkened corners of the Galaxy.

Bodyglove: Ever since the first sentient being stepped into the void, what was once the predecessor to the modern day bodyglove kept the harsh nothingness of that alien void at bay by regulating the self-contained environment. Through periods of evolution and technological renaissance(s) those primitive space suits were refined into a thin, skin-tight suit that was worn above the flesh to create a self-sustained habitat for a sentient to thrive in otherwise hazardous climates that would see them dead for the sins of meddling in the natural order. As there are various classifications for EVA suits, the one that the FO-02 Bodystocking slots into is that of Class E, meaning that the User can operate in Zero Gravity environments, and planet’s without an atmosphere with little issue. With its exterior surface made of a specialized weave of Armourweave and Duravlex fibres, the Bodyglove on its own can withstand the lethality of a blaster’s particle bolt, the fires of a foundry's furnace, and offers a limited resistance to the glancing blow of a Lightsaber. It by no means is impenetrable, as projectile weapons can breach through the suit with little issue - however as the joints of the armour are protected by the durasteel and ceramic plates of Flex-Armour, this glaring weakness is countered by the suit’s construction.

Internally, the Suit’s systems are controlled remotely by the connective circuitry hardwired into the Helmet, which can allow the Operator to alter the self-contained environment to suit their needs so that they remain calm, cool, and collected during deployment. With Fatigue being one of the most dangerous afflictions that prey on a Soldier during active duty, the technicians behind the FO-02’s internal systems believed that including the advanced gel-like restorative underlay, along with an automatic adrenal injector would be able to beat back the icy fingers of exhaustion. The inclusion of these two technologies would keep the Trooper at maximum combat efficiency for extended periods of time. The underlay would restore the User’s flesh should the suit be breached, and automatically seal the wound should it prove to be more than the suit’s stunted systems could handle - allowing Imperial Medic’s more time to save the Operator’s life in the field, or transport them to an Infirmary should the damage be critical.

Armour Plating: The idea of coating oneself in armour comes before the dawn of recorded history, as sentient life sought to protect themselves the predations of their foes, be they mindless jungle predators or the savage fury of their estranged kin. As the theory of evolution suggests, the best hereditary traits of every suit of armour, from the bones of slain animals to the furnace-forged plates of starship hulls, were bequeathed unto the next generation - seeking to improve on their predecessor's flaws and move ever closer to that unattainable goal of perfection. Such was the case with the armour plates that comprised the entirety of the FO-02 Stormtrooper Warplate. What had begun as a Plastoid shell, slowly started to evolve into reinforced plates of Duraplast, allowing the Trooper to survive a withering hail of projectiles and even granting them the ability to withstand glancing blows from a plasmatic weapon.

While this would protect the Operator from virtually every known weapon deployed across the Universe, it would be nothing but paper if faced off against an enemy equipped with disruptors - as those weapons break down the molecular structure of their victim, turning it to particulate ash. However, due to the compact metallic structure, it would slow down the atomic deconstruction, rather than fall prey to the seemingly immediate dissolution experienced by Soldiers in more inferior armour. While this had become standard practice across the Galaxy, the mind’s behind the armoured suit sought to improve upon such a perfected design. For this, they had taken the lessons learned from their confrontation with the Galactic Alliance and their insidious allies. They sought to warp the very elements to combat the military might of the righteous. Thus, the standard reinforced Duraplast was further upgraded into a composite alloy by the inclusion of Duravlex - an alloy that coats the exterior of Smelting Droids, granting them a significant protection against volcanic temperatures.

With the standard ability to be fundamentally immune to casted energy weapons, such as flamethrowers, the inclusion of this material would allow the Soldier to withstand the molten climate of various frontier worlds, and from those seeking to bend the elements to slay their foes. As an unexpected boon, the FO-02 Stormtrooper Armour can withstand direct contact with a Lightsaber for a limited time before the fire’s that lick across the surface of stars, breaches the protective barrier. As the Solid plates cannot cover every inch of a Stormtrooper’s body, a secondary layer of Flex-Armour is placed in the joints to allow a moderate level of protection against blaster weapons and various external projectiles. In their sacrifice of total defense, the Suit gains a significant bonus in mobility - allowing the Operator to move unrestricted, but fully protected on the battlefield.

DESCRIPTION

After their conflict with the bloodthirsty hounds of the Galactic Alliance and their insidious allies, the First Order sought to prepare for the uncertain future, as a greater conflict awaited them upon the horizon. As they began upgrading their hardware with various starships filling multiple roles, and constructing large space stations in the effort to secure their holdings, the Stormtrooper Corps had found themselves on the list. While the FO-01 had served its purpose, the suit that would replace it would have to be more than worthy to carry on the legacy of the Imperial Stormtrooper Corps. Thus, the FO-02 Stormtrooper Armour was born. The First Order Corps of Imperial Engineers set out to devise a protective outfit that would defend against the ever-expanding threats that the coming war with the Galactic Alliance would bring, most notably their Dark Jedi and Puritan Kin.

Designed as a set of Twenty pieces, the FO-02 Stormtrooper Armour entirely encased the Body of a Human, be they Female or Male, and in it’s standard; off the rack appearance, lacked any individually distinguishing marks outside of rank. While the hierarchy was primarily dealt with via the embedded within the IFF Circuitry built into the Helmet, certain Units within the First Order's Stormtrooper Corps relished the primitive method of denoting their rank by painting their Armour, honouring their spiritual ancestors of the Galactic Republic’s Grand Clone Army. Much like the Clone Troopers of the past, those that had never before seen an Imperial Trooper in action would believe them to be nothing more than Advanced Battle Droid. While the suit retains the fully-enclosed visage, the Helmet’s faceplate can retract to reveal the Glasteel shrouded face beneath - protecting the soldier while proving that there is a Human being beneath the hulking suit of armour.

Despite the physical edge that the Stormtrooper gains in combat, the suit - like the Stormtrooper’s of old - acted as a form of Psychological warfare. Without exterior distinctions, those that dared to stand against the spread of Imperialism saw only a uniform and relentless force, often causing an enemy's morale to drop harshly during combat operations. Forgoing the choice that was made by Palpatine’s Empire by adorning the Stormtrooper’s helmet with a characteristic frown, the First Order had elected to fashion their combat helmet with an unnerving smile - making them a terrifying sight to behold on the battlefield. For who would stand against the Death that comes with Laughter?

Its intent was to protect the Soldier from harsh, and even hazardous environments (Provided the right Modular attachments were fitted onto the base model.) as well as hostile projectiles and kinetic/energy weapons. The result was one of the most advanced protective measures ever to be deployed in the Galaxy. From the ablative plates to the passive sonic negation overlay, the First Order adorns its Stormtroopers in the finest armour ever seen outside that of the powered armour variants. With the inclusion of a Stabilizer mask within the Combat Helmet, those Soldiers that were born with a (weaker) willpower than that of their wolfish Brothers and Sisters, would find themselves safe in the knowledge that their minds would not be invaded or taken over by anyone burdened with the power of the Force. The micro-pulses of electrical energy would ensure that their thoughts would be regulated, but as the foil to such a boon, would be unable to benefit from an ally seeking to bolster their resolve through the application of their powers while the mask was active.

Should a Stormtrooper desire the satin embrace of Battle Meditation or Valor, they would have to deactivate their stabilization mask, leaving their mind open to suggestion - provided that the Telekine (Mentalist) proves to be more than capable of breaching through their intended victims barrier of indomitable will.

With the new and innovative technologies being employed within the FO-02 Stormtrooper Armour, those seeking to wear the honoured vestments will have to undergo hours of flash training, and several weeks of practical exercises to grow accustomed to their new, off-white body bucket. For those wearing the previous generation, the upgrade comes with a veritable hoard of new sensors and targeting arrays that would require a period for fine tuning, so that those who have already earned to right to wear the Armour of the Legions would be able to return to the battlefield and unleash their maximum potential.

Private Ownership of the FO-02 Stormtrooper Armour was strictly prohibited by the First Order and was meant to be worn by those in service to the Stormtrooper Corps. To ensure that this was enforced, several layers of security were put in place to deny the enemy the opportunity to reverse-engineer and subsequently, operate the Combat Armour in the field.

TgLg1h6.png

Addendum: The Modularity of the FO-02 Stormtrooper Armour comes from its ability to be altered into various specialized Variants, be they Snowtroopers, Flametroopers, etc. As they’re exterior attachments and don’t change the composition of the Armour beyond that of the cosmetic, it’s believed that there is no need for separate submissions. That being said, the FO-02 is open to further modifications that may arrive in the forms of upgrade package submissions, or an entirely new generation.

A very well done sub, but I have some concerns with regard to balance.

Two of the weaknesses 'Training Requirement' and 'Claustrophobic Nightmare' seem a bit irrelevant, given that soldiers wearing this armor will necessarily have the former and that training will be able to negate the latter. Similarly, 'Specially Fitted' isn't really a practical weakness for the scope of the board.

Given the detail and thought that has gone into the sub, but also given the various strengths and power of having a Minor Production Quality 8 armor that will ostensibly be appearing on most/all First Order Stormtroopers, I would like to see an additional substantial weakness added.

While I know that you only asked for an additional weakness, I went and did some quick comparisons to several of my personal resources and added an additional Four weaknesses to the list. Exposed Groin Area, as seen in the attached image. Not Intended for Stealth Operations, as in both the Force Awakens and the Original trilogy the standard Stormtrooper's armour the Actor's wear clatters, and makes an audible noise with every move they make. Marginally Reduced Mobility, as if we were to compare this to the Segmentata lorica of the Ancient Roman Legions - there's quite a bit of fluid human movement that's become restricted by the solid foundation of the armour plates. Finally, I've added Not Immune to Force-based Attacks, as the Soldier within was the intended target to safeguard from mystical harm - rather than that of the armour itself.

Hopefully the extended listing is enough to meet your substantial requirement.

This is not a weakness, you are not intending this for stealth purposes and thus lacking stealth capabilities is not weakness as it is not going to be heavily used in such circumstances.

Marginally Reduced Mobility (Solid Plates vs. Segmented Armour Strips.)
Your armor is 28 kg, not including weapons that the soldier would be carrying. If it's only marginally reduced mobility, this is a strength. This is heavy by every standard of the word, especially considering most average armors - including duraplast and reinforced duraplast armors - are beneath 15 kg in mass.

Not Immune to Force-based Attacks (Internal Defense Only.)
This is not a weakness, this is a fact of life. If something were immune to force-based attacks it would be a huge strength, it is not a weakness to lack such a strength.

Torian Pierce said:
but should a hostile Dark Jedi seek to crush organs within the armour, the Soldier would feel nothing more than a building pressure, or if the heart was their target - a skipped beat, before being able to react and break the Line of Sight.
Force nullification resin does not nullify the force, nor does it do what you're claiming it does. Force nullification resin was designed by the Jedi Order in canon to reduce and dampen the dark side aura of Sith artifacts, as to prevent them from corrupting Jedi and other beings. It is not created nor intended for armor or protection, and there is no instance in canon where such is done. On Chaos we have nullifcation resins made from Void Stone (called velokite), which is a restricted material, and that is where its force dampening abilities originate from - otherwise you're not doing much beyond reducing your soldier's presence in the force.

Ah - Thank you for catching that. I could've sworn it was added after I put in the link.

For the second and third points, I’m not entirely convinced that they aren't a weakness. While nothing more than flavour text, I believe that a Soldier would have to train inside the armour for a period to learn how to move efficiently, and understand its nuances- most notably learning of the command codes and protocols to activate the Helmet systems without tripping the integrated security system. Thus I’ve removed them from the weakness listing and instead have elected to include it into the description - should anyone care to read it, as it’ll address my concerns and yours.

The weight was the estimated average that includes the actual weight of the armour and any possible external additions. If you'd like I can replace the present number with a breakdown of the pieces that surmise the whole, but have changed it to represent the actual weight of the armour itself, rather than including the exterior attachments.

Considering the design of the armour, being solid plates in various sections rather than loose-fitting strips allowing for unobstructed movement and mobility, I’m afraid that's a considerable weakness in comparison to wearing a Blast Vest and such. Much like how Darth Vader was forced to alter his fighting style to compensate for his suit, I see the FO-02 causing a Stormtrooper to find a workaround, changing how they move; like a stream of water bending to flow around a rock. When I layout my submissions, it is in my best interests to do my best to keep in mind that others will be using whatever I make, meaning that I cannot allow room for any vague/hand-waving to be possibly attached to my subs in the future. Having it set in stone as a weakness, ensures that others using my Armour know that they can’t bend like a reed in the wind without becoming extremely uncomfortable, and etc.

However as a compromise, I’ve removed Marginally as a term but kept the remainder.

Finally, the Nullification Resin itself. You are correct that there are no Canon sources to base my claims of dampening the malicious intent of a hostile Force-wielder, yet in various Chaos approved submissions that have Nullification Resin, they have a considerable resistance to the Force and operate in opposition to what's been listed in the Canon article. I believe it's entirely unfair that I’ve taken a route that respects and expands upon the Canon Lore - while another submission approved by yourself can get away with tossing the very same Mythos under the bus.

When the Factory opens, sometime in the distant future, I will seek to create a variant of the Nullification Resin, and submit a modification request to exchange the two items. Until then, however, I'd like to retain the Nullification Resin as it stands. If you believe that the section needs to be expanded and perhaps fleshed out - then I shall do so.

It's the wording that changes the severity of something, and it was being described as only a marginal issue that made it more beneficial to utilize this armor than others of similar weight because it meant that it was less of a problem (the mobility) than normal heavy armor. Removing marginally, however, makes it very clear that this causes noticeable mobility restrictions.

The issue with the other submissions is more related to how the implant functions and interferes with the person's connection to the force and ability to use it than to the nullification resin on its own. However, I recognize this isn't a suitable decision on my part and thus I've spoken with the factory administrator to address this issue in the other submission. With my primary concern, in this case, being absolute fairness for the purposes of having both submissions approved, the other submission will be dealt with on a similar basis to this one.

In the meantime, I will point you to items and materials which will resolve the issue of Nullifcation resin not creating the benefit you are looking for - I will suggest utilizing these either in conjunction with the nullification resin or as the basis for an unique form of nullification resin. I will not require you to have a separate submission because we are not allowing new submissions at this time, and thus it would not be fair to require you to do so.

Materials which can perform similarly to what you want done:
  • Void stone (This works exactly as you have described your resin working)
  • Living Ysalamiri (probably not what you are looking for, production is also probably a concern)
  • Alchemically treated Terentatek hide/leather (This is something that was expanded on in the board that works primarily in the way you are seeking to utilize the nullifcation resin, the only issue here is production)
  • Taozin hide/leather (This also does work similarly to what you are looking for, the only issue here is production)

Very well. I'll see about typing up some additions to the submission above regarding the inclusion of a voidstone based Nullification resin and add it to the strengths section of the armour, as well as adding a caveat weakness for Force-Users wearing the FO-02.

Thank you for your guidance in this matter. :)

EDIT: I've reworded the sections of the submission that deal with the previous application of Nullification resin to incorporate the inclusion of Voidstone, and have added an entirely new section in the Resistance(s) area that details the history, and stunted effectiveness of the synthetic polymer (resin). Hopefully this is sufficient, and in the off-chance it's not - please let me know so that I may alter it once again.

I apologize, as I probably wasn't clear when listing the materials which could provide the effects you're looking for, but Void Stone is still a restricted material and still requires a completed restricted material objective for use in the factory. Retaining that level of protection from the force will also require a lowered production, as it would not be balanced for a submission to be approved for any Player Character & Select NPCs to use with such extensive protection.

I wish you would've told me that sooner, as I could've gotten a head start on the Restricted Materials thread(s). Nevertheless, thank you for the reminder. Now, when it comes to production level, as you didn't mention it beforehand and I've quickly perused the rules - there's a chance for it to remain at Minor - however I'd like a clarification. What constitutes as Additional Development?

Like, do I need several threads with thirty posts each, or a single thread with a story of how we got from A to B?

The rules are sadly not clear in this venue.

Void Stone: With two or more characters that your character does not already know, get trapped in Otherspace by a hyperdrive accident and escape. OR: Perform a mining operation, a raid, an excavation, or steal to obtain small amounts of Void Stone (suitable for Limited production or less) from any of the following planets: Kayri, Elrood, or Caeliar. As with all restricted materials, this objective applies to the use of derivative materials (such as voidsteel or Velokite). Note that derivative materials often have specific affiliations.
Void stone is capped at limited production, something I feel I should state right away while answering your question about restricted materials to avoid causing further delay in getting your submission approved. I know it's very weirdly phrased in the list, and I've pointed it out to the administration to have it made more clearly stated after the factory re-opens.

Regarding what constitutes as additional development to move a restricted material that does not state it is limited to a specific production, any story that displays completion of a restricted material's objective that also goes above and beyond what would be standard development (let's say 20-30 posts for a normal submission, like limited produced beskar armor or something, as standard) is considered additional development. This changes the more ambitious a submission is, as making a ship made of beskar is going to require more than standard beskar armor would, but if you generally complete a story which includes the objective you should be fine as long as it exceeds what would be normal for what you are submitting.

As time's become of the essence, I've decided to go with a previous idea and make the Voidstone resin an entirely different submission which would be dealt with at a later date. Thus I've reverted the armour back to minor production and removed any mention of the resin. If I missed any mention of it, please let me know. Otherwise, I believe this is good for final review.
