Flaming Foxes and Singing Sirens (Aurora)

Concert halls were not places I usually frequented, except for rock concerts. But this concert had been recommended to me, and my front seat had been paid for by the friend who'd told me to come. 'Maybe they're your type', my friend had said. What the hell did that mean? Had he been referring to the music, or one of the band members, or simply that they were good?

When the beautiful Aurora Starr stepped onto the stage, I understood perfectly. This was the girl my friend thought was perfect for me. Showy, loud, rich, and extroverted. He might have been right, but what was there to make me stand out?

HELLO EVERYBODY
Aurora introduced herself to the crowd in her heavy accent, raising her hand in the air to wave at the crowd. The microphone raise up from the stage and she swiped it out of the stand with gusto. She looked over the crowd, an extraordinarily big crowd full of people of varying backgrounds all there to watch her sing. She lowered her hand when the song began to play, and the crowd grew silent. She began to tap her foot on the ground to match the beat of the song, starting off slow and then speeding up with the tempo. The crowd began to sing along as she danced around the stage.

This song, except somewhat less metal and more pop.

Now, I'm not one to go starry-eyed over singers like other guys do. But Auroria was beautiful... and the song she was singing was amazing, the closest thing I'd ever heard to metal, without being actual rock. And of course, it was about death being burned away. My forte, and specialty. It was the absolute most astonishing coincidence ever. Having music that sounded like it was about me was a new experience, and my fur began to spark as I listened more and more intently, and my face broke into a smile. Nobody seemed to notice the sparks, and I was glad I could let them free without disturbing anybody.

After the two hour concert Aurora was practically perspiring due to the amount of energy she had used during her performance. She finally left stage after giving one encore and then she headed backstage hoping to meet any of her fans.

Of course I went backstage. How could I not? My friend would've been extremely disappointed in me. So, I snuck to the backstage area, flashed my front row tickets, and got a comfy seat behind the stage. Mind you, being almost a foot taller than the security team, and as muscular as any fox-man can get, pretty much means that people tend to step out of my way.

So here I was, sitting in a chair with my tail twitching. Waiting for this superstar that my friend was trying to get me to sweep off her feet. This could prove... interesting.
