Sayuri was running late this morning, every task had held her up, her bath not heating up fast enough, her hair not drying, someone hiding her socks, the force was plotting to make her miss her flight. It was it the force? She pondered as she bought herself a pack of gum at the terminal, or was she just nervous. She shook her head, sure this was her first mission solo, completely alone on the other side of the Alliance, but Jedi didn't get nervous, the force was always with them to guide them.

<<Last boarding call for shuttle 3204 terminating at Kashykk>> anloud announcement came over the comm and Yuri quickly paid for her gum and walked at an increased trot. She had been told another padawan was on the shuttle for the first half of her journey at least, that was something. Finally she was in the queue and the Keshian girl took a few moments to shut her eyes and recentre herself in the force, relaxing and trying not to give the game away that she wasn't as confident as she probably should be.

A minute or two later the queue allowed her on the the shuttle and she felt the same official controlled climate temperature and air pressure as in the temple. She unzipped her leather jacket and looked around, trying to see if she could feel the other jedi on the shuttle for some company.

"Jedi padawan, please take a seat for take off, you can move about the cabin once we are in space" A steward droid ushered her in and she spotted and empty seat so she made for for that. Sayuri slid her pack under the seat and leaned back to relax. She didn't yet know that the force had inadvertently sat her next to Silas Westgard . She sighed a long breath and spoke aloud to herself "I can't believe I nearly missed my shuttle" she slid out a piece of gum and began to chew it, ready for takeoff which was imminent.

It was early in the morning on Coruscant and it was like any other day. Silas had been given a basic assignment to travel to Kashykk in order to help efforts in upgrading the current military base on the planet. As a Jedi, sometimes even building will go a long way for the future of the faction. Being a force user, Silas was able to do much of the heavy lifting and make things easier for the professionals. It was almost similar to his first assignment on Ilum, which required him to rebuild the temple on Illum.

Like always, Silas woke up early and was one of the first to be there before the shuttle opened. The padawan found it rude to be late or no show, it was just a work ethic he had picked up from his parents. Making himself comfy, he leaned back in his seat and awaited for take off to happen. Of course, it was delayed, and thanks to that a late girl had managed to get on and sit next to him.

Silas could sense she was some kind of padawan, and when she sat down he gave her a respectful nod "That's why you've always got to plan ahead of time... miss?" Silas asked, waiting to see if she'd give him her name "Believe it or not, it will make things easier" he continued, his eyes falling to her gum.

"By the way, do you mind if I have one of those?"​

Her eyes squinted and it was clear that the young purple haired padawan was about to answer with some witty retort, but as she turned to look at the gentleman in question she realised she was sat next to a fellow Jedi and remembered herself, mostly. "I did plan ahead, I just forgot to stick to those plans. And sure.." she held up the gum for him to remove a stick before sliding the packed into her pocket.

Yuri turned round in her seat more to face , pushing her hair out her way and holding her hand out to shake. "I'm Sayuri, or just Yuri if you like, are you Westgard? I was told someone else from the temple was aboard today." She was about to apologise for her tardiness but she had made the flight, if the force had intended differently, she would still be sat at the terminal. Outside the windows flashed as the transport entered hyperspace and they left the coruscant system. Sayuri was glad of the company for the trip, it help calm her nerves. She looked about the cabin as they spoke and saw the myriad of different people sharing the trip with them.

"Thank you... at least you managed to bring some gum for the journey," he said with a slight smile, unwrapping it slowly to throw it into his mouth to chew on. Turning to face her head on, he didn't hesitate to accept her handshake "Correct, I'm Silas Westgard. I assume you're stopping off at Kashykk too?" he asked curiously. If that wasn't the case she was more than likely stopping off somewhere close by. Looking at their surroundings it seemed like a range of different people were joining them today, from military to ordinary citizens.

"What's with you anyway? you been sent on an assignment?" he asked to make conversation. The girl seemed to be around sixteen, padawan level for sure. He sensed nerves with her at first, but as soon as he arrived she seemed to calm down. Eventually, the shuttle turned back on once more and began to lift back into the air. ​

"That obvious, huh?" she laughed in response to his question about her obvious nerves and popped her gum. "Yeah, I know it's not very Jedi to be nervous but this is my first time solo on official duty."

She paused and pulled out her holo, quickly reading her itinerary to make sure she got it right. "Stop off in Kashykk to pick up a Concord translator then head to Balamak. An artifact is being repatriated from the jedi archive to Balamak, I'm going there to be a Jedi face, the artifact is on a different shuttle as its pretty big." she smiled, now wondering why it was she was so nervous, it's not like she was heading off to battle like so many of the Jedi. The slightly older Silas Westgard was probably judging her for not minding her feelings, but she was who was.
