Akira Kono

Trapped in the Past or Yearning for the Future?
Ord Cestus System
-Aboard the Thalassian Luxury Space Barge "Imperious" Bound for Ord Mantell

Woosh! The "Imperious" luxury barge shuddered to a halt over the planet Ord Cestus. It was an all too sudden halt for such a magnificent vessel which held all the bells and whistles of the ruling elite for their planetary transport needs. The only problem--between the incessant belittling of the ship's crew and the smell of the high priced food--was that of the ship being--seemingly--ripped from hyperspace at its full speed. This sudden occurrence--over a planet that was days away from their destination--was something quite peculiar, indeed...

"What is this... Feeling that I have," inquired Akira inside the inner recesses of his mind. This question would soon enough be answered by a shake and rumble from the barge.

Turbolaser fire erupted from the aft direction as a group of modified fights strafed across the luxury ship's exterior to destroy any method of self-propulsion.

"Pirates," Akira exclaimed, audibly, before he burst out from behind the ventilation grate that he had spent most of his journey behind. "I have to get off this ship!"

Bouncing from planet to planet, as was ritual for a large portion of his life, Akira had found his way on to this luxury barge with the hopes of smooth sailing until he could find a new place to settle for a brief respite from his travels. Sneaking on board such a pricey vessel was far easier than he could have dreamed--due to his sheer audacity to try--and it had been far easier sneaking on to something as large, and conspicuous, as the "Imperious".

"Remain calm," blurted a voice over the ship's communications system. "We won't kill you until after we take all your money!"

The voice was obviously that of the pirate leader that oversaw this undertaking--as it ended with a villainous cackle that only one so prescribed to the ways of the raider could present.

Ord Cestus System
-Aboard the Thalassian Luxury Space Barge "Imperious" Bound for Ord Mantell

As he stood there before the mirror gaze at himself thru the mirror. That the events of the past day slowly play in the back his mind.It was if anything not quite he'd expected but then again beggars can't be chooser as he no less overheard some the old timer down at the port use to say. On the account that his last night out from the last port he'd left from sort left him strap for credits. That he didn't quite have enough to make good on a fare out.And the ship captain was not that keen on make a deal so. Seeing on account there was not really any other public transport around . He thought he'd just luck out as he didn't feel like stick around for long. And was no less dying to get out of there on the account of last night. While he was enjoying his night out drinking with a nice gal by his side. He unfortunately got into a scuffle with a stranger there. That no sooner had he to pay the barkeep for the damages and personally take the poor sap off his property. That the sense of dread hit him like ton of bricks and washing over him like ice cold sensation flowing all over then thru him. That he slightly shiver in place and somehow knew it was time to go get out of here.

And next thing he knew after some quick dealing and payoff he somehow secure passage on what seem be. A very swank and real fancy ship though not as a passenger but as part its crew. Initially as a assistant mechanic but then midway thru the good part of first few days. He got bump up to waiter on the upper decks serving drinks which was why. He now stood newly showered and shaved changing into some newly press uniform handed to him wear .When all of a sudden the whole ship seem to violently shudder and before he knew it. He then instinctively grab his small satchel that held what little belonging he had including the saber. And began to head out investigate thinking at first that it was just one the engine stalling.

On the account it had encountered a glitch or something. But then no sooner had he step out onto the hall that. He somehow sense it and ducking low as a stray blaster bolt flew right over his head. Nearly hit him and in the distance he could hear hear. Mix of shouts and gasp mix in with couple more blaster bolt sound. As over the loud speaker a voice spoke his tone harsh yet seem calm.

"Remain calm."

He start and pause briefly as up ahead as he duck low while make his way towards the opposite direction in hope of avoiding much of the next volley of shot. That no sooner hit and left heavy scorch mark on the walls and soon fill the hall with the burnt stench of their impact.

"We won't kill you until after we take all your money..."

He voice then stop as it was soon followed by a loud bang then unintelligible low voice. Tone frenzy and chaotic for a moment before it all soon stop.As from bellow came a loud bang. As the hall seem began to slowly fill with smoke and the the whole ship seem keel over to one side. Tilting quickly that all were left scrambling to hold on. As the ship rumble and quaked for whatever reason......and all around him panic soon erupted. Before the hall was plunged into darkness one time before it lit back on. One...two and for seem the last time.....as by the third the emergency light kick in and chaos soon seem to erupt everywhere.

Akira Kono

Trapped in the Past or Yearning for the Future?
Springing to his feet, Akira crouched low as the heat of blaster fire filled the air as battle spread throughout the luxury barge. This wasn't his fight. He didn't have to defend these people. He could leave them all and escape to the planet with a pod that was ready-made for someone who was already dead but he couldn't bring himself to leave these people that were unable to defend themselves from the scum and villainy that were bombarding his senses--and this ship--with death and destruction. Akira couldn't turn a blind eye to the pain that was being wrought--that he could feel through the Force--and the temptation to lash back at those who would consider themselves a superior foe to those who are being defended by a lackluster force of security that didn't know the right end of a blaster from a Hutt's goodside.

Akira reached for his lightsabers at each hip but he found the lack of faith of his own skills with the blades rather disturbing. He had practiced the techniques that the Grey Jedi Holocron had instructed him to but he was yet to put his theory into a practice that involved his own life, and lives of others around him, in the balance. It wasn't until Akira was presented with a situation to use his newfound abilities in that he had even considered the idea of faltering--wavering--in the face of danger and certain death. However, with a growing resolve, Akira brushed such thoughts from his mind and chose to trust the Force that he had been learning so much about.

This trust allowed Akira to accomplish a great many feats of survival and wonder but the doubts that he had of his own ability had to be squeezed from his mind like a fruit being juiced until nothing left was the base of his philosophy. This trust allowed Akira to be dominated by a will that mirrored, and strengthened, his own. This trust allowed Akira to relegate all of his fears into the past while pressing his fate into the palms of his own forged destiny. And this trust allowed Akira to conquer his emotions and set free his desire for peace.

Not knowing much about advanced technology--such as ships, droids, and the like--Akira was dumbfounded when it came to deciphering his next course of action--even with his rediscovered resolve. Akira had to walk out this play in his mind in order to figure out where his talents would be most effective in any repulsion of the pirates that had assaulted this luxury barge--of which he was also stowing away.

"Okay, so, we stopped. That has to mean that there's a 'go' problem. So, the engines are broken or the ship's bridge gave the command to stop the ship," Akira recited his thoughts in his mind as if it make the problem seem as distant as the blaster fire that seemed to be approaching rapidly. Quick thinking was something that had to happen right now or Akira didn't stand much of a chance in an open brawl with however many blasters these thugs were toting. "I don't know a darn thing about engines... So that means I have to head to the bridge if I want to get this thing going again. There's no guarantee that escape pods aren't being shot as they fly from this space-bucket. I have to take this whole darn ship down!"

"Wait a second, what's tha---," Akira thought to himself before the ship shuddered once more and began to rotate to its side.

Normally, the rotation wouldn't be any problem with the artificial gravity generators harnessing everyone to the floor across the ship, however, it would seem that--due to the damage to the ship--the gravity had malfunctioned and shut off completely. With a flash, and a flicker, the power flashed on and off until the red emergency lights and the blaring warning sirens were all that remained sans the intermittent blaster fire.

This lack of gravity through Akira for a loop as his body lurched from the floor and onto wall after wall as he tried to regain his sense of balance. Luckily, the Force gave him a new leg to stand on--as well as a new advantage against the ransacking pirates. With Akira's ability to flow through the air, with the Force able to guide him with precise movements, he believed it was now time to test out his newly trained abilities on the nearest group of assailants.

Gathering his feet to a wall, Akira pressed forward and launched himself down the corridor, passed a fumbling waiter--[member="Ronin Wendigo"]--and toward the sounds of danger. Arriving at those very sounds, however, ended Akira's fantasy of saving the day with blazing speed and superior technique. He had maintained the element of surprise, that was assured, but when he gathered himself against the wall at the end of the corridor using his outstretched right arm--as he was facing left toward the danger--he noticed something unexpected.

"Gravity boots," he exclaimed out loud as his eyes widened into a look of bewilderment and surprise. He didn't have much time to push himself back down the corridor from which he had come before blaster bolts came flying to his former position against the perpendicular wall.

Making a scramble back toward where he had come from, Akira bounced from wall to wall--returning to where the waiter stood--before launching himself at the waiter--[member="Ronin Wendigo"]--in an attempt to save the two from blaster fire by sending them both into a kitchen area.

"Watch out," Akira exclaimed as he attempted to 'save' the man that he was yet to know as another protagonist in this story.

it was as Ronin feared once the emergency lights kick in that for whatever reason the artifical gravity system of the ship failed. Sending him to madly scramble about to try compensate for this and right himself in what amounted to zero gravity within the section of the ship he was in. And that it didn't help that from behind some guy seem had launch himself past him. Cause him to slightly fumble as tried reach and grab hold of a slightly expose panel to his side. Of the then partly lit and fairly smoked filled room that slightly made him cough as smoke though slowly subsiding. Still managed to somewhat choke his airways a bit. As the room now sort cleared with most that seem be alive able to scramble to one those still functioning escape pods.

" kiff.....dam nut want be the hero? "

He then passing uttered in slight annoyance at the guy who just past him. But then deep inside he could not help but feel torn between the idea of also make a stand or fleeing. But then before he could decide a rouge blaster shot from somewhere down the hall ahead came strait at him. Barely giving him time to act this time and move out its way. Hitting a pipe inside the partly exposed panel to his side and rupturing a pipe that sent a plum of hot steam to briefly escape. Just moment when he turn his head to one side cause some slight injury to his face. As although it was not thankfully that hot that it would leave a long lasting deep damage. Yet at the same time it did however cause some damage to his left eye. That he felt somewhat blinded in that eye and partial sight in the other.

Yet despite this he somehow made up his mind and felt determine on the course of action he was to do next. But with the vision loss he suffered could not help but question himself. How was he going do it? When out the blue he seem could make out a figure head his way along with a voice.

"watch out. "

Just moment before another round of blaster bolts headed their way. And was it because some his old memory come back or just some random defensive response his body seem have pick up on. That no sooner had this happens that his hand reached back and just like that. His blaster that was holstered in his satchel flew to his hand and he return a volley of shot. Some which collided head on to somehow stop them mid flight while the rest found their mark and neutralize those who were shooting at them. At any rate once the figure collided to impact him and send both them flying back. Away from harms way that he holster the blaster in the waist of his pants before grabbing hold of the stranger arm he assumed.

" You got to get me down to the engine room..... I... I.. can't see too well... we have get some the power rerouted back to some the decks. Or else those escape pods won't fire.."

Akira Kono

Trapped in the Past or Yearning for the Future?
"Woah, woah, woah," Akira exclaimed to [member="Ronin Wendigo"] when the dust had settled and the 'waiter' had him by the arm. "No way that you're a waiter."

Reacting quickly, however, Akira braced himself by grabbing at a nearby handle that was attached to the wall for a predicament such as this loss of gravity. It was an average safety measure but other than the escape pods there was nothing much more that could be done in an event like this. The idea of rerouting power from the engine room was something that Akira would have never thought about--due to his lack of technological knowhow--but he had to say that it seemed like a decent idea. The trouble, however, other than the mass of pirates and goons that were between the two "heros" and their objective was the fact that, no matter how many escape pods could be launched, the pirates still had their ship to capture, or shoot, them on their way toward the surface of Ord Cestus.

"But we have to figure a way to stop their ship from getting the pods before they can get to the surface," he stated before turning his head to the side in an action of deep thought. "We have to send this ship crashing into theirs."

Akira was so matter-of-fact when speaking about an action that could leave both ships as immovable debris and leave everyone else with a half measure of a chance of survival. His only thought was to protect those whom he could save but in doing so he knew there had to be some type of sacrifice. This sacrifice, however, wasn't even guaranteed to work if this ship couldn't move fast enough to ram a much smaller pirate vessel before it, in turn, destroyed the remains of the barge.

"No," Akira began again as he drew his left hand to his chin to rub against it. "We have to make a crash landing. That gives us the best chance of at least having some atmosphere and not being blown to bits in space. Thoughts?"

A wild, and reckless, plan was nothing new for the orphaned Akira Kono. Having the objectivity to make difficult choices was something of a strength in most situations but it could also cause unnecessary losses. Seeking the wisdom to find the balance between objectivity and practicality was what Akira had been searching the stars for. This situation was nothing more than the next test set forth for him by the Force, or at least that was what he was convinced of. Being young and reckless needed to be balanced by some elder wisdom if the two newfound comrades were to survive this ordeal with lives hanging in the balance!

[member="Akira Kono"]

It was then in the midst of all the action that had transpired that despirte fact he could not see. He no less could hear the stranger beside him

"Woah, woah, woah."

As he then tried to rip off a strip of the waiter shirt top and use it as a bandage of sort. Wrapping then tying it over his eyes that as he shift his head to follow where the voice was coming from. And tried to reach out to hold on to him as best he could. If only help steady himself from the freefall back.

"No way that you're a waiter."

At which time when it seem once he been able to grab hold of his arm and the pair seem to slowly decelerate. That he then with a smirk came reply back his tone serious and slowly became bit cheeky by the end of it in seem lighthearted jest.

"Well i ain't as really ....just one the grease monkey from the lower deck . Who happens seem be the lucky or unlucky one to get reassigned. And pull up here just when all the fun began."

He then once he'd adjusted to his surrounding and slight loss of sight then. Slightly adjusted make sure the satchel on his back was secured as was the blaster now tuck nicely under his belt on his side.

" So what the situation...figure we can make a break for the engine room ? Abet its a coupe door ahead where we sort bump each other?"

At that time after seem a moment of hesitation the stranger replied.

"But we have to figure a way to stop their ship from getting the pods before they can get to the surface,"

In which time he had pause himself and sort try take in to account was he said.

" I guess....but with what exactly? Seeing last i check this is a pleasure cruiser and if from what I've seen of it's internal screw up is any clear indication. Weaponry wouldn't been something high on who ever the frack design this bucket of bolts. So any idea? Seeing i didn't quite see what or who we're up"

As the stranger continued on...

"We have to send this ship crashing into theirs."

To which sort take by surprise and back by this sudden remark he then shake his head slightly .

" Say what? Are you crazy....and what in the hell do we want do that?"

"No,"

He then seem with his slightly usable right eye to then began vaguely see. The stranger drew his left hand to his chin to rub against it.

"We have to make a crash landing. That gives us the best chance of at least having some atmosphere and not being blown to bits in space. Thoughts?"

At which time thinking on his feet Ron tried to run thru the schematics of the ship in his head. Something he somewhat seem to find himself doing on most the ship he'd been on. An old habit or simply just another freakishly strange quirks from his all but forgotten past. No one knew as though he sort of at least by then piece a bit of his past. There were still big chunks of it that eluded him so and had been a pain to unlock. But just the same push these other thought aside he then turn the stranger and spoke.

" Hmm, well i guess break off to the surface abet it being too risky seeing am not sure where the hell we are....hell we could be right over a gas planet or worse. But then again if we more or less are in about the same trajectory as i last figured to suspect it's possible. We're over a decent enough place to ....well crash land on....fight ....escape and maybe survive long enough to get rescued.

Then i guess have just the idea.....if we go a few door back. I believe we could get to the captain quarters where i believe he has a control panel hooked strait to the main bridge. I could try to hot wire that....gain just enough control to activate maybe ....one the automatic landing sequence drill program. That should theoretically trick the ship into complying and sort glide its way down to the surface. But i don't know its kinda a long shot....but seem be the only way to do it .....have my tools in my pack. Though we haven't much time.....so if your up to it.....i guess however crazy your plan seem could work.....but like i said you have be my eyes and get me over there. Should be easy enough.....seeing the captains quarters is bout one the few double gilded door on this floor that says."

Trapped in the Past or Yearning for the Future?
Continuing to hold his chin with his left hand--his hand slipping slightly farther up to partially obstruct his mount--Akira had a feeling that he was forgetting something. After he had finished speaking there was a feeling left hanging in the air that kept the young man wanting for a grand solution and strategy for a miraculous outcome against these dastardly pirates--all while saving whomever was left on this evolving scrap heap. Alas, there was still a twinge of uncertainty that spoke to him through his feelings, and unfortunately, this constant nibbling at his psyche caused Akira to become completely ignorant to [member="Ronin Wendigo"]'s own explanation of what could improve their odds of escaping alive.

With a quick twitch of his muscles--as one did when they came to a sudden, surprising, realization--Akira's head snapped to stare directly into Ronin's bandaged face with a look that screamed frightful trouble for the duo. There wasn't anyone approaching them--although there probably should have been with all things considered--and the life support systems seemed to be working correctly. This problem, however, was as inescapable as their current situation of lingering troubled. This problem was the propulsion systems!

"The engines," Akira exclaimed as Ronin finished speaking--with a raise and waggle of his right index finger and a slight upward drift in the gravity-less space that the two were occupying. "Didn't they just blow up our engines a bit ago? So, am I the fool or are you for following me?"

With a tongue-in-cheek remark closing his detrimental realization; there was now another problem to be had if their plan were to succeed. How could the two possibly repair an entire propulsion system with no time or replacement parts for the mammoth engines that powered this extravagant spacecraft?

"Maybe we need a new plan. Mined sucked. Your turn," he said with a frank disposition and his eyes now locked upon Ronin in an attempt to focus all he could to the next few words to come from his mouth. Akira was sixteen years old and now just happened to be one of the times that his true lack of experience glowed as bright as any star in the galaxy. "Oh, and I don't know where we are either. You had a good point earlier. I forgot to mention that. So..."

[member="Akira Kono"]

It seem by then with his mind still a bit shaken by his injury earlier that it took him a while. To come the same realization as the stranger he was with whom no sooner. Then came forth to thought his vision was bit haze appeared to come stare strait at his direction as he then spoke.

"The engines,"

Remind him of one the key vital clues that he himself missed as he apparently rambled about. Try to visualize their earlier plan in regards the ship. At which time he then under his breath let out a string of curse as the stranger then continued.

"Didn't they just blow up our engines a bit ago? So, am I the fool or are you for following me?"

At which time he then come to try turn his head towards the strangers direction . Sort wing it to hope maybe face him directly.

" Well i guess they did.....at any rate we can scrap plan A and go strait to B. Which i guess we can either do in the main helm ahead but there no time.....its gonna be a long shot but. You have get me to the Captain Quarters....although the engine might be screw were not totally screw yet. There is still a chance ....the landing flaps are intact. And we can use them to either slow the ship decent enough with any luck. Hopefully glide enough the ship to the surface intact......."

Akira Kono

Trapped in the Past or Yearning for the Future?
"Alright, if you say so," Akira said begrudgingly, with a shrug, as he turned his head back around to face the open doorway that the two had flown through earlier. "I don't know how this hunk of scrap will move without anything to give it motion but I don't know anything about this stuff. If we die, it's on you!"

Closing with a jest and a motion of his arm to signal 'onward', Akira began to creep toward the opening to poke his head out and survey the scene before [member="Ronin Wendigo"] and himself. He didn't have any other plans, nor options, nor inkling of what to do out in space. Technology wasn't Akira's strongsuit and his lack of available knowledge really showed his ignorance of the subject.

"Name's Akira, what's yours," he asked without facing his newfound partner--his focus more on attempting to evade pirates than making sure that he wouldn't get shot in the back by the impeccable marksmanship of his compatriot. Interestingly enough, Akira had little choice but to accept anything that Ronin said to him--as he had no information to go on--and for that reason alone, Akira knew that he had to trust someone whom he had just met by happenstance.

[member="Akira Kono"]

It was then that in seem moment of hesitation the stranger he'd noted with what little vision he had with his one good eye at that time.

"Alright, if you say so,"

Had shug a bit before continue on say.

"I don't know how this hunk of scrap will move without anything to give it motion but I don't know anything about this stuff. If we die, it's on you!"

To which with slight jest to retort back Ronin spoke.

" Yeah well i guess its just your luck or my bad luck that we meet in this junk of a ship......but yeah guess living off the streets. And work on a few ship for cash helps. But don't worry i'll try get us out here in one piece ......and well there be no use arguing. And you can blame it all on me in the next life..."

At which time though last words seem a tad bit on darker humor to say the least. Ronin in his own way tried lighten the mood despite knowing deep inside how tense he was really about the situation at hand. When as the pair began move ahead with the stranger jumping in as sort his spotter. Take lead to get them to where he asked him to in relative security ....though from what little he could see of him Ronin knew. His trust in him was as little as he himself had for having a random dude leading to which. Once they round the first corner he then turn mean ask but was seem be over taken before he could speak by the stranger.

"Name's Akira, what's yours,"

In which time seem out of reflex he spoke tempted give his alias that he'd been using for a bit. But instead on last second gave a name....one which he sort only just recently figured out . A partial name but a name at least to start from while he sort tried piece together the rest.

" It Name.....well Ronin i guess.....Akira......"

He then feeling a bit confident in least knowing his name Ronin then proceed follow behind him. Though he couldn't quite shake the feeling that he just could help want say but opted not to. Keeping the thought in mind as to how odd it was not running into another thug shooting at them for a bit. Give him the sinking feeling things might be worse than he figured it be.....At any rate as they round the corner.....he is then tempted reach over. But instead let his hand hover over the blaster and with slight sigh spoke.

"Well can you see the door......Akira? Seem awfully quiet if you ask me...."

Akira Kono

Trapped in the Past or Yearning for the Future?
"Okay, wellRoninIguess," replied Akira sarcastically before he replied to [member="Ronin Wendigo"]'s second statement. "You're right. It's far too quiet after you just merc'd some fools. Be ready."

Sliding his right hand out in front of himself--his palm open with his fingers extended--Akira called upon a power that few in the known galaxy could muster. His arm was bent at the elbow as his forearm swung out to a jerking stop and a tug had been sent, invisibly, to the lightsaber on his left hip. This power was such that flowed through everyone--everything--with a will of its own. The Force was a power onto itself--at an extent that religious fanatics were drawn to its power--and that power was a gift that Akira could manipulate as part of his extended will.

To use such a power was the choice of those who could wield it, but for the intents and purposes of such a power, those were the true decisions that could shape the galaxy as a whole. Fortunately for Akira, he was a novice user with barely a few years of training in the uses of his power. This limitation was a natural guide to allow the Force to mold him in its own design--rather than allowing him the ability to control the Living Force using his own pure willpower. In this day and age, for Akira, he was a conduit to the Force for mere assistance rather than manipulation without the proper abilities to wield the Force in his own image.

With the pull on his lightsaber--using the assistance of the Force--the lightsaber glided into his hand, When it reached his palm, Akira's fingers closed around the saber's hilt and a snap-hiss of flowing green energy illuminated the--otherwise red lit--room with the glow of hope and serenity. This was no longer the time to run and hide from those threatening to do the duo harm, no, now was the time for them to reach their objective without fail!

"Ready to run," Akira inquired as he leaned his body forward with his left hand coming up to his chest with its palm facing in front of him while his right hand--with the lightsaber firmly grasped in it--swung forward to a position between anything in front of him and his own body. "Go!"

With a burst of natural speed--leading into a turn to face the opposite direction that the duo were attempting to travel--Akira prepared himself to defend Ronin's backside as he would, hopefully, turn and run toward where he knew the Captain's room to be. It was very fortunate that Akira had decided to prepare himself before lurching out into the deadly corridor as--to his own admitted surprise--there were three pirates with blaster pointed at his direction and an intent to use them!

The first shot whizzed by Akira's head like a bolt of lightning intent on striking hard, and fast, to resolve the pirate's plans in a split second. With the Force guiding his hands, and reflexes, Akira was left with the advantage in this circumstance--even if he wasn't particularly skilled in traditional combat or techniques. The assistance granted to him by the Living Force was an advantage that he could not afford to squander as he leaped forward--into the three pirates--with an initial swung that cut off the barrel of one of their blasters before he spun on his right foot to kick the second pirate in the jaw with a spinning left heel.

Having a wiry, and flexible, body allowed Akira the quickness and athletic ability to do things that people wouldn't expect of someone so ill equipped for confrontation. His physique gave him the length, speed, and athleticism to maneuver in the tight space of the corridor and gave him an advantage against the three bulky pirates that had lost all of their tactical spacing in one fell swoop.

The back heel to the face of the second pirate sent a blaster bolt into the wall--while his body went into the third pirate who had yet to be touched. With the three prates either off-balance, or disarmed, the rest was a piece of cake for Akira. Swinging his lightsaber down, following the momentum from his kick, as he hopped off his planted foot for extra force; Akira brought it down on top of the disarmed pirate. Suffice to say that this pirate was left with nothing but air where his head used to be. While the other two pirates struggled to regain their footing, all Akira could could was shake his head and twirl his wrist to mop up the pirates with careful slashes across their bodies to cleave through them and end their threat.

[member="Akira Kono"]

It was then after all was said and done no sooner had Akira spoke.

"Are you ready to run."

That he with slight nod read himself and brought the blaster he had in hand. As the pair push off in quick move heading towards the captain quarters. But that was after Akira had made good work of the small pirate group that impended their way. At which time with his vision a bit shot and not wanting make the unfortunate mistake of shoot at his own alley. Which he could possibly avoid if he open himself to the force using what meager training he had seem remember in the fiber of his muscle. But was all but lost to that his mind could comprehend say the least. He no less tried stay close and follow well behind his companion who. No less made quick work of the next few halls with him aid in with few good shots. That he could offer in the fight as his one good eye began clear enough for him do so.

Onward the two went clear up the path as they went and as oddly enough the deeper they went the few enemy they face. Which seem kinda odd that is until they got to the Captain Quarters ......and he seem in haste broke in quickly. Luckily being able get out a few good shot at the two guard that were standing by the door. Seem all but lost as to how break in and was distracted which was good for them. Seeing as unlike the two earlier goon Ronin had the advantage of. Well having one the officer key card which he sort swipe from then a few days back. Something that sort help him during his free time explore the ship and unknown to Akira. Get a heads up as to learn out the lay out of the place and unfortunately learn some the kffing flaws it hid well from everyone but the core crew.

Akira Kono

Akira followed [member="Ronin Wendigo"]'s lead--as a boy with no knowledge of anything other than saving his own skin would--while they made their way to the Captain's quarters. The amount of pirates on the ship was insane in terms of the sheer number of them. After dealing with pirate after pirate, Akira decided to quickly make a count of how many that the duo had disposed of, and after a brief count it would seem that the pirates had to have a fairly large ship--or multiple ships--to carry so many crew members. This revelation was something that Akira had decided to keep to himself because he didn't know how his compatriot would take the news that this impossible situation just ended up getting a whole lot worse!

"We have to hurry," he began with his eyes scanning the hallways to guard Ronin's backside. "We don't know if they plan on scuttling this ship when they're done with it. All I know is that we want to be off it way before that happens!"

[member="Akira Kono"]

It was then that with all the action happening round that with shake hands Ronin sort fumbled. Having to swipe the card onto the door card reader twice. Before hear the all to familiar click as the lock unlatched and with push the door open just as on the sideline Akira began talk. His tone all too hurried and with hint of worry that rightfully so as he come to realize some hint of truth in his words.

" Yeah i know.....so guess we best make it quick...."

He then pull to get them both inside the room that had thankfully been mostly looked over. Perhaps due to the kind of lock the good captain had on his door or just something else. He then no less not wanting wait for more danger come their way having had his fill of it so far. Turn latch the door well behind them as he slowly made his way to the side door which house the captain personal study. And in there too was the console he spoke off. At which time work hard with what little time he had on Ronin tried crack open the security and make his way in though what he saw in the screen seem not too promising. He no less try play it coy and hide it from Akira as he casually spoke.

" Well seem were in sort luck.....damage isn't too bad and i guess could work to trick the system to go into emergency mode from here...."

At which time he then set to work as he continued speak with Akira.

"...just need you make sure keep them at bay....for few par sec....while i.."

Then soon enough came a rumble as the ship slightly swayed and a couple of the emergency flaps on stern side the ship deployed. Cause the ship to tilt slightly then lurch forward as slowly but surely the emergency triggered by him slowly filter thru the ship. Work on some and somehow not engage in other part of the ship.

Trapped in the Past or Yearning for the Future?
When the duo had interacted with the guards at the door of the Captain's quarters there had been a alert sent to the pirate's ship that informed them of the unruly passengers that had decided to take the initiative and attempt to save themselves from the villainy that was being impressed upon them. The communication was left wanting for the moments that [member="Ronin Wendigo"] had brought the two into the Captain's quarters and begun to work on hacking into the ship's systems in order to inject some life into her. This length of time was relatively short but during Akira's monitoring of the situation from the doorway, he had noticed a loud sound that reminded him of the steps of the police drones that he had had more than a few altercations with on the last few planets that he had visited.

His fears were realized when he noticed four, heavily armed and armored, droid soldiers marching at the head of a war party that counted to nearly ten--including the droids--heading straight for the Captain's quarters! No doubt they were sent to murder the lightsaber wielding Akira and the oddly skilled waiter, and engineer, that happened to be somewhat of a jack-of-all-trades. Quick thinking was imperative at the moment when they had raised their blasters and began to open fire upon Akira as his head, slightly, peered out into the hallway to determine how much trouble the duo was in.

"We have company," he exclaimed as he ducked his head inside--just quickly enough to avoid a blaster bolted haircut--before he raised his lightsaber up and sliced it down upon the door locking mechanism which slammed the armored door shut to separate Ronin and Akira from the oncoming danger for as long as it would hold. "They have battle droids. And guns. Lots of guns. And of course I locked us in here--trapped. What do we do now?"

Akira was confused and bewildered by the possibility that he could die at the hands of a machine instead of on some battlefield somewhere--or of starvation on a random street corner. He wasn't, exactly, panicking but he wasn't entirely sure of how to escape this trap that he had set for himself either.

"Quickly, quickly," he began to repeat as if it would help in some way to push the tempo of the two's thoughts. "Gotta not die!"

It was then as Ronin did his best to hack into the control panel in the captain quarters. That soon enough he overhears a loud rumble then blaster bolts just as his new companion Akira duck into the room.

"We have company,"

And quickly dispatch one droid but not before hitting the control panel by the door.

"They have battle droids. And guns. Lots of guns. And of course I locked us in here--trapped. What do we do now?"

That somehow activated the room lock down system. Something which at best surprised both but seem help in his task. Thought he then began try keep his concentration squarely at the task at hand . Which was hard given all the things going on round him that he dare not reply back for now. Till eventually with seem sense of urgency clearly heavy in his tone as he spoke.

"Quickly, quickly,"

That Ronin could not begin ignore him for long thought much their luck he mutter out.

"Bingo.....well i suggest you hold on to something tight....coz this is gonna be a bumpy ride."

At that time with bit luck and seem perfect timing the ship rock forward. As although the main engine was down it seem he was able to tap in and reroute some the engine power left to couple of the ship emergency booster. Giving them enough power to fire and shift the ship trajectory to skim just close enough in an steep angle. Dip close enough to the planet below atmosphere that it gets suck into its gravitational pull. Cause it to go into a uncontrolled speedy decent planet side.....which he hope with bit of calculation. He holds to cut strap of his waiter top to fasten a makeshift tie hold. Onto the chair bolted into place near the control panel....so that he could be close enough and hit the enter button at the right moment to deploy the ship flap. In the hopes if he timed it right that it could maybe get as much the ship to crash down onto the ship surface.

Being told to hold on to something tight while, by [member="Ronin Wendigo"], the two were floating in the air--due to the gravity systems having been damaged earlier--was something that Akira was at a loss on how what, exactly, to grab on to. Most of the room was full of decorative, and deadly, artifacts that the ship's captain had gathered over the course of his many tours aboard this pleasure barge. From expensive tapestries, to ancient weapons, the room was just as deadly as was their assailants that he just begun to attempt and cut through the durasteel door that had been so haphazardly locked into place by the excited Akira. However, it didn't take long for Akira to do the mental math and decide that this advice was well worth taking.

As the ship began to rock and rattle from the oncoming gravitational pull from the planet that they were steering toward, Akira sheathed his weapons and reached for the emergency bar that was situated near the door that he had just locked shut. This type of bar was placed around the ship--not just for drunks to use to balance themselves on a long walk to their room--but instead was intended to be used as a support should the internal gravity be damaged. This situation, however, was partially the latter and primarily a brace for the impact that this ship was about to go through as it regained gravity with the vicious force of the world below them.

"You mess up, we die," Akira blurted out as he locked his left arm around the rail at his elbow. "No pressure!"

At which time no sooner had the room shook that he turn gaze over at Akira hope make sure he got his message.

"You mess up, we die,"

Who in midst of the lost gravity had been able blurt out just he lock his arm round one of the nearby rails.

"No pressure!"

To which with sly smirk and flashing a thumbs up as if in the hopes to reassure him Ronin spoke over the rumbling noise.

"yeah well i know....which was why i recon we hole up here in the first place. Seeing if anyone gonna make dam sure to save their hide and live ride out any of this ....would be the captain....so yeah no pressure i hope."

It was then as the ship shook and outside the loss of gravity coupled with the sudden change in trajectory. Had in a sense sent some the poor hapless pirate outside the door flying. Leaving only but a couple of the droid who'd been luckily enough to bolt themselves down before all hell broke loose. To remain standing in place. As the rest were soon hurled down the hallway towards the back of the ship. As outside with the pressure building those unlucky pirate ship unable to detach in time were soon violently rip off. Cause a good size gape hole to appear on either side of the ship as it slowly make its way planet side. To which both the proximity alarm as well the warning bells began sound to which soon enough plaster onto the screen before them. Part of the side hull began light red as bits and piece of it had been rip off. At which time turn to Akira he soon jokingly quipped.

"Well not to worry we seem still have least half of the ship holding and we should be within the atmosphere soon.....now all have to do is deploy what flaps we got soon we get inside close enough to the atmosphere."
