The First Bank of Coruscant is the heart of all the other banks in the planet. Famous for buying small banks and forcing them to become subsidiaries of their own, the FBC is a old institution that had very close ties with whatever government ruled the planet. Never they had interest on making companies somewhere else, their business was in Coruscant and that meant money.
RATIONALE
Due to the constant attacks, raids and war, the FBC found themselves short in clients and of prestige. Criminal elements rising in Coruscant forced their shares to drop in the major galactic stock market, buyers started to show up to do legal means, buying most of their own shares as board members started to sell them without asking the current chairman. The buyer, when tracked, proved to be the nobles in the board of the Bank of the Core, now owners of legal 57% of the company.
Found later that the actions that lead the board members on selling were highly involved with criminal elements hired to force them on to selling their shares to the BoC. Making them the owners of one of the greatest economic powers in all Coruscant.
