First Assignment (Animus)

Phrik Holding Compound
Demonsgate
Outer Rim - Neutral Territory
Asajj stood upon the cliff overlooking the compound, blending in nicely with the dark volcanic rock. It was night on this side of Demonsgate, a crescent moon hung in the sky. In the morning, a red sun would rise. Blood was to be spilled tonight. It would not be mindless slaughter though, not like her younger days. Instead, this was her first official contract. Issued by an anonymous source on Coruscant, the targets were businessmen of some sorts. Pulling a few strings, she had tracked them down to a scheduled visit to this compound, conveniently in the dark of night in the hopes that they could see the facility off-hours.

It was not only credits on the line, but Asajj's worth to the Assassins. If she were to call herself one of them, she would have to complete this initiation of sorts, a blood rite. On top of that, the contract stated that anything in the compound could be taken as extra payment, which was handy considering a large storage of Phrik was currently being held there. It was quite secure, due to the common risk of raids, but nothing she couldn't handle. Well, atleast no with an ally...

She had called upon another Sith, Animus Malgus, to join her in the mission. It was not a sign of weakness, but a sign of unity. They were an order and they would work together as one. So she waited atop the cliff, keeping an eye out for the Acolyte she had once dueled. Their duel was some time ago, and she had grown and changed since then. Matured, some had put it. She was indifferent on the matter, they could think what they wanted.

The main point was; she was becoming more powerful, and that was all she wanted.

"The place looks well defended" Animus said to Asajj while looking through his Monocular. He zoomed at max and noticed that there were guards all around the damn place and Animus Hated this world, with a passion, not because it was arid and the Atmosphere smelled like Sulfur and Death, but because there was no Water anywhere. "The sooner we get off this molten heap of crap of world the better, what's the plan?" Animus said with disdain, every second he spent on this world was a second he wished he was somewhere else, Anywhere else, Hell, Mustafar was a five star Hotel in comparison.

Rocks tumbled down the cliff as he came up from his scouting stance, removing a lock of golden brown hair from his face that had grown back after [member="Darth Ferus"] her father scorched him in a *training session* using an ability Animus had since wanted to learn. He remembered the duel with [member="Asajj"] as it was long ago, his defining moment, a defeat as much as a victory. He had proven his worth, by never surrendering even faced with death and today would be no different.

It was not unknown to Ferus that his daughter, [member="Asajj"] , was completing her first contract as a Sith Assassin. After much training, it was only fitting that she would do this only with those of her own skill level. [member="Animus Malgus"] had been called by her, and it was because of this however, that Ferus set in motion something else. A holocall would beep on none other than the holoreciever he had given [member="Dhasias Vunumera"] . She was a third sent on this mission, to be his eyes where he could not see.

Once she would answer, he would speak immediately.

"You're mission is as follows. Make sure the pair complete their task, and keep an eye on Malgus. After myself burning him to near death, and Asajj's victory in the tournament, there's no telling what he would do, and if he would compromise. Report to me once this is over."

There would be a click, and the call would end. Slowly the Hand leaned back in his seat, a sigh escaping from his lips.

The pains of being a father.

After receiving the transmission from [member="Darth Ferus"], leader of the assassins, Dhasias punched in the hyperspace coordinates for the planet Demonsgate. Dhasias was only vaguely aware of the rather heated training duel Animus and Ferus had partook in, and had only heard of [member="Asajj"] from the gossip of other Sith. As the sleek black Intruder zoomed through hyperspace towards Demonsgate, Dhasias called up a profil on Asajj. Aside from being Ferus's daughter, which admittedly added a humorous layer of complication to Dhasias's assignment, several other features stood out. Asajj was apparently talented in the force but a frail individual, which didn't bode well for CQC combat. Adding another level of hilarity to her assignment was the fact her "targets" had fought in the acolyte tournament, with Asajj emerging victorious. The only operation of note was an engagement against Jedi Shadows.

"This is odd," Dhasias muttered mulling over the information she had, wondering what Asajj's initiation assignment was and why she needed Animus's help.

"What have we got on our VIP's?" Agent Reyal inquired, strolling into the room in his Stih intelligence attire.

"Well, the boss wants me to track his daughter who is being assisted by the acolyte she bested in the tournament on her initiation trial." Dhasias explained the situation in all its intricate grandeur.

Reyal chuckled at what Dhasias said. "So we're playing stalker?"

"Don't act like your not used to doing it," Dhasias teased, running her hand through her hair and playfully smiling.

"Hey I just thought we made a good team on Anaxes," Reyal bantered nostalgically recalling the first time they meet. "It's not every day a Cipher gets to team up with badass Sith and kill Jedi,"

"Oh sure, you wanted to hang around me to kill Jedi," Dhasias retorted rolling her eyes as the Intuder came out of hyperspace, the volcanic world of Demonsgate looming in the observation window.

"Well here we are," Dhasias stated matter of factly.

"Gotta admire those assassin observation skills," Reyal laughed.

"Sorry I don't have cybernetic implants to help me with range finding and data computing." Dhasias shot back imitating Reyal's projecting voice in an over-the-top manner. When the pair finished laughing Reyal called up the specs of the planet.

"100% volcanic, high sulfiric concentration in the atmosphere, terraforming has rendered it barely breathable. Some native populations centered around geysers. Immigrant populations have erected a few mines and colonies. Corporatism seems to be the primary planetary government, with different corporations controlling different sectors."

"Well, then our targets targets are probably shady businessmen of some type." Dhasias inferred, then placing the ship on autopilot, entered in the coordinates Ferus gave her for the location of Asajj.

In her younger days Asajj's "plan" would have involved minimal subtlety and maximum explosions. Now though it was different, there was a method to her madness. Her dark purple eyes examined the compound, scanning for anything useful before formulating the final idea. After a few moments of plain staring, she turned to Mythos.
"Listen carefully. The compound has constant shielding to prevent damage from falling rocks and spits of lava from the volcanoes, if that goes down the place goes on alert. In that time they immediately evacuate the facility, with the workers coming out the front and the high priority personnel being escorted through a series of tunnels. I have some people on standby who can get in and out with the Phrik while the base is somewhat empty, it'll cause a few casualties in the way of any workers foolish enough to not get out quick enough. Whilst they handle that, we need to track down the targets. The tunnel splits in two half way down, and comes out in two different exits. No doubt they'll split up, so we need to aswell if we're going to take both of them down in time." She paused finally to point at a rise in the rock somewhat near the compound. "The power lines run through there, we take that out and the shields go down so..."

"Whenever you're ready."

Animus smiled in a twisted way, he had been more than happy to get to the mission at hand, anything to get things moving "Got it, but. No explosions? No Slaughter of lots of people? Who are you and what have you done With Asajj?" Animus laughed getting up locked with his Hidden blades and more than a little exited about the incoming battle. "Let's spill some blood tonight shall we?" Animus was blazing off in the direction of the Power lines clinging to shadow and the darkness in the path almost as a specter. Quick movements from recent training in the Acolyte Rings of Glee Anselm as part of one of his first real major sparring events from the Academy he had become adept at quite a number of things since they had last met. When he arrived he knew nothing but complicated movements that tied together to nothing but brash movements, unrefined balance. Now, It was a lot less Unrefined and Brash.... But still Brash and Unrefined.

Getting to the outside of the main source of the power line which unsurprisingly, was guarded by Two slightly armored humanoids who patrolled semi decently. huh... they actually look on guard. Animus plopping up let loose Two shots from his Tranquilizer pistol from about 6 or 7 yards dropping the men and securing the position and taking a Scout with his Thermal Monocular.

Animus' comment about her difference in approach was acknowledged only by the rolling of her eyes and a slight smile. She hated it when people noticed her change, her maturity. That word made her skin crawl. Sure, she would act older and more sophisticated, but deep down she was no lady. There was a certain way one had to act if they were to be respected in power, and for Asajj that way was a facade. Deceit was the way of many Sith, and it would be no different in her case. Did that mean she would become engulfed in her new personality so much that her old one would become obsolete?

Probably...

Making her way towards the compound whilst keeping to the shadows, Asajj found herself a nice hiding spot by the main gate. A collection of crates kept her hidden from the cameras and occasional guard. Once she drew out her dagger, the same one she had used to beat Animus in the tournament, she spoke to him over their commlink.
"Take out the power." Her voice, now with a serious tone, signalled to Animus. Then she prepared herself, because she knew once he disabled the shields the alarms would trigger, and all hell would break lose...

They just had to use that hell as a distraction...

[member="Darth Mythos"]

Noticing the blasting debris that suddenly flashed the shield he tried to see if perhaps... he could time it to a big nasty rock of volcanic stone or lava alas his Com gave him the Signal to take out the Power lines. Animus Force jumped and somersaulted igniting his lightsaber in a quick movement that sliced the large power lines and decimated the power box. Simple yet effective methods prove the best result, this was simple procedure now, procedure filled with Fury and wrath that followed Animus through the Blazing fields of Lava, force augmentation filling his legs and gaining in speed as he moved an approached the outer gate.

It was then he noticed that they were on a collision course with a mountain of falling lava and volcanic rocks that instantly bathed the place with the sounds of screaming people in Agony, the closer Animus got the more clearly he could hear he screams of crushed people and the massive chaos that ensued on the Untrained caught a situation that was Not a Drill. dropping his equipment Animus was packing light gear apart from the several Thermal remote Detonators he began planting as he entered the Chaos and started making his way to the Tunnel entry to the East. If she would not bring some Explosives, Animus with his new access to the Sith Assasin and One Sith Armory, was all about testing out new toys. Armed to the teeth but still light and getting used to his Sith Assasin Armor and a Red Lightsaber to add to his blue one he now made his was through the debris of a destroyed Complex to reach the end of the tunnel. Animus was not un-phased by the Screaming and the massive carnage, he had killed in Mayferria but this was different, there were not soldiers, they were Workers, Innocents. Anger Boiled in him as he clenched his fists... fighting his conscience.

A singular cargo shuttle came in over the crowd of terrified workers, causing them to raise their arms in hope of rescue. Instead it was their possible death, depending on Asajj's decision. The pilot contacted her, asking whether they should be dealt with. As she looked up she saw a man mount the cannon on the side, ready to fire at her command.
"Kill them all..." She replied with not even an ounce of doubt or regret. The cannon span, releasing a red fury upon the innocents who had been crying for safety. Meanwhile, the Shadow's Daughter continued into the facility, throwing aside a few stray guards with the force to clear the way for the men who would be stealing Phrik for them. Whilst they were reaping the rewards for everyone, Asajj found the second tunnel path which one of the targets had taken. Her brisk steps meant she could catch up with the man within minutes, and in that time she contacted Animus.
"Have you found your target yet?"

[member="Darth Mythos"]

Animus now saw ahead what looked to be a party of well armed troops forming a defensive formation. "V.I.P. entering western corridor i am in bound" Animus ran blasting through the debris clinging on to the shadows as he finally made it a few yards away from the main bulk of the protective perimeter on the V.I.P. A Number of high executive looking types that were most definitely not dressed for the Job caught his eye as luckily the sight of him did not catch the Perimeter of Security. Animus was hard to initially detect in the Dark Dampened tunnels especially with his Sith Assassin armor which made him even harder to spot and this allowed him to near feet from the Security perimeter before unleashing both his Lightsabers and the sound of another Security Patrol of the Same Size caught his ear before the slaying of men began.

A flurry of movement, a flash and clumsy yet furious barrage of slices and slashes made the Security personnel although well armed, ill protected for lightsaber slices. One by one their blasts dimmed until the tunnel was filled with corpses. There were not innocents, they were the cause of this, he felt no remorse here. Covered in the stench of burning flesh for the first time he trembled as he activated his com. "It's Done, i'm heading to you, dd you get the goods?" When he finished speaking he noticed One Soldier coming to patrol the area and Animus sank into the Shadows. Once the Man was standing over the Bodies and about to call in to report, Animus' hidden blade sunk deep into his neck... tasting blood for the first time... but not the last.

[member="Asajj"]

Asajj's targets were close now, stumbling through the darkness of the tunnel they thought would save them. Too busy listening to the sounds of blasters and people screaming, the guards never heard the approaching predator. Hidden blade extended, Asajj raced in to the group of men. A flurry of jabs and slices caused blood to paint art along the cavern walls, accompanied by the music of their deaths. In the end her coat was stained red and she found herself looking down upon what could be considered a literal blood bath. She was breathing heavier than usual, but she had no fear nor regret.

She felt alive, which was more than could be said for her victims...

Just as the assassins were carrying out their wicked deeds, the hired men began sacking the facility. Containers of Phrik remained very much intact, ripe for the taking aboard their shuttle. The few workers who were either too slow or too stupid to evacuate stood no chance against the trigger-fingers of mercenaries. Although it was a tragedy, Asajj saw only the benefits. If any news of today's events were to reach elsewhere, it would be a simple raid carried out by mercenaries. The Assassins' presence would go unnoticed.

"They should have the Phrik now, we're good to go." Asajj spoke through comms to Animus. Their mission was complete and their reward had been claimed. Yet more importantly she had proved herself to be an assassin.
