Fire, Reload...Repeat (Self training)

'Remember to focus, down range, one target...relax...breath...fire'
Aiming his blaster rifle, Vikram had slowly let out a few slow breath's before slowly pulling the trigger. A triple-fire assualt rifle, three green successive lights flashed down range hitting the target-dummy three times in the chest. Alexis relaxed for mere seconds before focusing his rifle at another target further down range.
'Twenty-feet done'

Feeling the sweat in his palms, Vikram quickly readjusted for the next shot.
This time the target was fifty-feet, a hard shot for a recently graduated Enlistee.
Making a few adjustments and quick calculations in his head he decided to point the blaster rifle slightly left of the target. The assualt-blaster was particularly ill-suited for long-range combat. Again, Alexis took deep breath, controlling his breathing. His finger slowly pulled the trigger.

In a flash, three bolts flew from his rifle and hit the next target. All three bolts hit high on the dummy, where the shoulder of a human type combatant would be.

Taking three deep breaths, Alexis quickly reloaded. He released the empty cartridge, which made a loud clinking sound as it hit the ground. Truly testing his limits, this time Alexis decided to roll forward and aim his rifle down range at the nearest target. Alexis pulled the trigger twice, six blasters whizzed down range....

The first successive bolts whizzed right by the nearest dummies head, the other three had manages to just barely hit near what would be the lower thigh on a human.

Swearing under his breath, Alexis packed up his rifle, and walked back to where the empty power cartridge lay. He kicked it in frustration in anger. He needed to prove his worth in order to achieve his full ambitions.

Next Alexis would move onto his routine close-combat practice. Dropping his CIS military pack to the ground, Alexis quickly unsheathes his Viroblade from his hip and sprints towards the nearest dummy.

'5 feet....3 feet...roll'

Calculating the distance between the dummy, he figured in real combat he would have less than a split second to roll before the enemy combatant would fire on him. Rolling forward, and hopefully avoiding the imagined blaster bolt, he stops less than a foot away from the dummy. He quickly leaps from the ground, and thrusts his viroblade into the skull of the dummy. The viroblade sinks into the mesh, directly where the eye's would be. The blade got stuck with the force of the thrust...in combat this would only mean certain death, failing to cleanly dispatch an opponent in a timely manner...a blaster bolt to the back or a viroblade to the throat..
After seconds of despair, the young Alexis was able to release his viroblade from the dummy. He grunted in frustration knowing that mistake would of cost him his life.
Sheathing his Viroblade, Alexis took a few minutes to go over his mistakes in his mind, and how he could correct himself.
'Thrust up too quickly, more finesse less strength'
