Private Finding My Way Back To You

Kro Var

"Just how long have I been here…"

"I'm so tired.."

"I need to go back to Naboo. I want to see Rek-"

Time had lost all meaning since Akabane had returned to his home world, Kro Var. Everyone whom he had known we're all gone. Murdered by a group of greedy and dark individuals. Although they we're distasteful in his eyes, he was starting to become plagued by the same evil that took his life away.

The dark side was starting to consume him physically and mentally. It wasn't as if he was becoming abnormal looking or murdering every person he came into contact with. No, it hadn't gotten to that point yet. However he was fearing those times were close. Akabane was initially his normal self but slowly, as he spent more and more time on Kro Var… he wasn't sure. There was some sort of cloud in his mind. He could hear voices every time he went to sleep there. Constantly waking him up and striking paranoia within himself. Nothing really was good about coming back to his home.

Why did he come back? Well that's quite the story but to keep it short… family. Actually, let's catch up.

It was some time after he went with Rekha Kaarde to enjoy a getaway with her. Everything appeared to be fine and Aka was very content with his life, even changing his ways more than before. Things were just wonderful. Unfortunately that didn't last too long though. Someone came into contact with him from Kro Var, claiming that his family was alive. At first he didn't buy into it but they showed proof. Some dark twisted art was used to impersonate, or replicate his parents bodies. Cloning, zombified, etc., whatever the case he soon broke the news to Rekha and left. Though he didn't give her any details. As much as it hurt him to keep it secret, the outcome wasn't going to be good. How did he know? Well, he'd already seen his mother be slain.

Oh, and its Kro Var… that speaks for itself.

After getting back Akabane found no parents. That was expected. He searched the whole planet for days, maybe months or even years. Time had been erased from his mind and the only thing filling it's spot was determination to find whoever gave him the information. He wasn't aware of how long had passed and didn't care. He needed answers.

And so he would find all of them when a great Sorcerer attacked him. Akabane put up a great fight but lost to the man. Every element able to be wielded was used against him. That meant he wasn't dealing with a Sith Lord, a Vigilante, Bounty Hunter or whatever great power most went toe-to-toe with in the galaxy. The man he fought was a Master of all the elements. No clan he'd ever known of had more than a couple of those within their village. So he had met a great force that even his father would've feared. Akabane experienced a total and complete loss.

Despite Akabane almost losing his life, the Great Sorcerer showed mercy. It was never in his plan to kill him. He could've easily done so. No… his plans were far more worse than that.

The Sorcerer captured Akabane and held him for a long time in his small castle. In the bottom part there was a torturing chamber. This is where Akabane experienced true despair and anger too. The man had calculated this all very precisely. He was trying to break him down until he was nothing more than an obedient dog. Aka bowed down to no one but his master however. Even if he no longer served his Lord he'd never serve anyone else till he died. The Sorcerer didn't like the situation so he offered freedom to the younger man. By this point Akabane was becoming deranged, attempting to kill the great force that tortured him. It wasn't revenge for the torture… he'd been thru that before. The reason for that behavior was the darkness attempting to take over due to his emotional distress. The Sorcerer was unhappy about it at first until he noticed something.

Given the situation he could've still turned Akabane into his pawn. But the power Aka possessed had potential to exceed his own. He'd have to play his cards right. The Sorcerer ended up stopping the torture and releasing his new toy. Akabane would charge at him for hours in a rage, just yelling and trying to kill his kidnapper. Nothing worked but one day Akabane snapped out of it and gave up. The rage leaving his body leaving him as he was before returning to Kro Var. He realized he'd been defeated and spared.

Once he'd seen this the Sorcerer offered his home, training, and pay if Akabane would work for him. Apparently he was big in the spice trade but wanted to go bigger. As powerful as he was he still needed a trustworthy person to help. Who else but the man you tortured to near-death, eh? Akabane accepted, he would spend most of his time training and going on spice runs but under a different persona - Captain Bane. That name would become large for awhile. In the grand scheme they were low tier spice runners, but the Sorcerer was creating a new version to sell. It'd make him richer in every system. Akabane didn't care about the money, though he made a fortune. This whole time he was plotting against his instructor.

Akabane was learning quicker than the Sorcerer thought he would. The power was already there and Aka already wielded two elements. Once he discovered the other two and learned how to use them effectively, he started his plan.

He'd read some old texts he found while roaming the library at the Sorcerer's home. Most of them were pertaining to dark arts and force shaping. Pages were ripped out and burned in a majority of the books. Akabane studied shaping more and more until he, in combination with training, had become as strong as his enemy. Anger filled his body and mind, until he snapped once again and went to find the Sorcerer.

As soon as he entered the master chamber the Sorcerer rose from his bed. Laughing and an orange glow emitting from his eyes. Akabane's were crimson red, also glowing as well. They both understood what had to be done… a fight between the two started. Everything around them getting demolished by each element they threw at each other.

Akabane was out of control and didn't fight as well as the Sorcerer even with his immense addition of power and skills. Even then, the fight would be the fairest of fights in terms of strength. Back and forth, back and forth… it went on for hours until Akabane ran out of energy, slowly taking more damage until he was on the ground.

The Sorcerer laughed hysterically and claimed he'd won. Akabane sat there in pain and agony, grunted at every twitch of a muscle. That was until he grinned and something sinister rose within him. Wind flooded the room they ended up in. The Sorcerer was unaffected by Akabane's stunt and continued laughing. Perhaps he'd never seen this move before, as he went in to silence Aka for good. Or so he tried.

As soon as the Sorcerer got close Akabane murmured something to himself. "Father, forgive me." He brought down a sharp manifestation of wind and cut his attacker's head clean off. He ended up losing his foot once again, sacrificing it to get the Sorcerer close enough to be unaware of the attack. Some more of his leg was removed but he won. Until blood immediately started pouring out. He yelled in pain before his hand lit a massive flame. Akabane reached down and slammed his palm into his ankle where he'd been amputated. The fire cauterized the wound enough to prevent blood loss but he had to find medical supplies before the wound reopened or became infected. Akabane was in unimaginable pain and struggled to get up but he eventually found an old rifle to use as a crutch. Suffering is all he ever knew and most times he could tolerate something like this. On this day though, he'd spilt blood because he wanted to. Not because he had to but to just do it. Anger and despair brought him here. There was no discipline when it came to the darkside. Emotions ran free and one could murder endlessly if they were strong enough. His trip home had born an evil within him. One that he wasn't even sure of yet. All he knew was power was flowing in his body. Power that he shouldn't have had.

That leads us to now… Akabane wandered the barren planet until he found his ship. It must've been a long time since his arrival. The hyperdrive was missing as well as other key components. It still had power somehow so he spent the night cleaning up himself and making a make-shift prosthetic. That didn't take away the pain but it was all he could do in the moment. He'd go search for help in the morning. For now he tried to get some much needed rest.
