Findinding a Master

Tanya had finally decided to seek out a new master to finish her training in the force. With little else to do, She had decided to reach out in the force and follow what ever trail that might set her upon. That led to her entering sith space, and seeking out this one individual. The young woman had finally arrived at a field, sensing a force weilder in it. Tanya had no clue waht to ask, or what to expect, but began walking into the field anyways.

The wind began to kick up, slapping my hair backwards as I sat cross-legged in a rain drenched field. The passing thunderstorm had been a blessing, adding a cooler temperature that chased away the overbearing heat, whilst I lost myself in my meditation. I was unique compared to my sisters and brothers that I took and found time to meditate; not to clear my thoughts like the Jedi but to understand my darker based emotions. When I was an Acolyte and attached to my former Master, I struggled with controlling my emotions, which led me to act before I thought; placing a chain around my neck and being led down the path rather than I leading my emotions. Upon reaching Knighthood, I had mastered my emotions, learning how to utilize them to fuel the Dark Side that coursed through me.

During my meditation, my eyes flickered open as I felt the presence of another Force user behind me. In the ancient times of the Sith, this would have been an advantage to rid oneself of a potential rival, moving up through the ranks on the backs of the weak. But the Sith Empire outlawed the killing of one another, based soley on the idea that this didn't strengthen us but in fact weakened us; and if one had difficulty comprehending that all they need to do was search the holonet and learn about the history of the Sith.

Remaining in my lotus-style position, I could sense the arrival was not Sith; though not Jedi either. Had it been Jedi, my first movement would to lure her to the Dark Side rather than killing her. There, again, I differed from those of my family. I hated the Jedi, as all Sith did, but where they sought to bring them one with the Force; I saw a potential to turn them into allies. "It is dangerous, prey, to walk alone in these fields," I said standing up, yet remaining with my back to her. Fear was for the weak, the uneducated, and the feint of heart; I was neither of those. I, unlike the other Sith, didn't seek immortality. The galaxy was a disasterous failed experiment, and I wished not to live through body swapping or through alchemy or through mechanical devices to prolong my mind any further to endure the fractured galaxy.

"I will commend you," I continued turning around to see the young woman, "that you are willing to face impending doom. I'm Darth Sarcophago, and I go by many titles none of which I will bless you with today. Tell me, prey, what has drawn you out to these fields where so many ghosts weep and wail for the living to hear their tragic tales?"

Tanya faltered for a moment, unnerved by the Sith. Still, if this was what she had to do to get a master, she would go on, even if it meant fighting a Sith, or joining their ranks. Tanya brushed the thought away and recomposed herself. " I am Tanya Thiran. I seek to complete my training in the force." her voice quivered, but Tanya hoped it wouldn't show. She entered the field, as rained began to pelt her face. She kept ready to fight, but her hand did not touch her saber.

"Training in the Force," I scoffed looking deeper at the girl. "One doesn't train in the Force, prey, they are dedicated to it. It is a lifetime commitment." Bending down slightly, I plucked a beautiful flower with blooming petals of gold and red; then motioned for the girl to walk with me. "You undoubtedly have experience with the Force, but if you are here then your extensive knowledge teeters on ignorance, or someone failed you. In order to discover what you are and what you can do you must rip away the restrictions and flaws that define you."

"First," I said tearing off a petal, "You must decide what aspect calls to you; the Light or the Dark. If you choose the Darkside, there is more to it than simply "falling". Another petal torn off. "Secondly, there is no such thing as an all-knowing Force wielder. There are several paths to choose from, and certain abilities through the Force that work for you and possibly against you. Only through trial and error will you discover your destiny."

Another petal removed. "Your mental thinking, and morals, play a role into what you become. There will be times when you face life changing situations, for you and your opposition, but it's your actions that will dictate how far your willing to go. We Sith despise weakness, not because it's a flaw but because it is a chain of restriction. The weak can gather strength, if they strive for it, but traditionally those weak individuals opt for complacency rather than growth."

I briefly glanced over at the girl as another petal was taken from it's family. "Self-preservation is important, where self-sacrifice is appalling. The galaxy is filled with many species, most thriving in numbers but there is only one of you. Consider yourself an endangered species, and in order to continue to accomplish your goals you must kill, murder, make tough choices, or commit tragedies to ensure your survival. When you're gone, you're gone. And trust me, prey, you might be mourned but in time you will be forgotten."

"Your emotions play a big role. The Jedi warn and preach against certain darker, baser emotions while the Sith embrace them," I said taking another petal. "Your emotions will fuel your strength and power in the Force, only if you are willing to embrace emotions like anger, hatred, suffering, and pain. However, you must control them and never allow them to control you."

Plucking the final petal, I released all the petals from my hand watching the wind carry them off. "And then there is dedication. You must ask yourself how far can you dedicate your mind, body, and soul to the Force. Your results are based upon how much work and effort you put in. If I take you on as my Apprentice, know this. I will not coddle you. I will not drag you through your lessons and training. I will not care about your feelings, hurt or otherwise. I will not care about your physical pain. And I will not care if you succeed or fail. I'm here to teach, nothing more, nothing less. It is up to you, prey, to succeed and find pride in yourself. If I appeal to you, then pledge your loyalty to me."

Tanya did not want to think about someone failing her. Her master certantly had, but she pushed the thought to the back of her mind. as [member="Darth Sarcophago"] continued to speak Tanya remembered the many times seh had blurred the lines. She had always attempted to keep to the light but used powers shrouded in the dark. The Sith finished speaking, asking Tanya if she wanted to learn under the sith. Tanya knew the training owuld be difficult and painful, but rewarding. She could finally learn to properly use the force for more than defense and her natural aptidtude. She knew her master had taught her more in the combat uses of the force for a good reason, but she still felt sabotaged by him.

"I...I swear loyalty to you as a student." She felt as though she was making the wrong decision, but she knew the sith had changed from the past.
