OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION

  • Intent: To create a personal, unique NPC for Darth Excidium, to use in threads with him and others. To formally create droid NPC that's been referenced several times in IC threads.
  • Image Credit: Wookiepedia [Edited by Excidium]
  • Role: Re-puposed and upgraded personal droid [pilot, ship guard/engineer, bodyguard or assassin when required]
  • Links: Secrets within Dark Halls, Get me the following..., The Temple of Pain [Mentioned/Mildly NPC'd - more in depth NPCing planned on approval]
PHYSICAL INFORMATION
  • Age: Unknown [mainly functional during the Clone War era and for a time after]
  • Model: FIII Footman Droid
  • Appearance: Tan-colored humanoid droid design, with deep red checkered torso and hip sections, decorative lines down limbs, and the Sith Empire symbol on the chest.
  • Armament: Personal weaponry includes a pair of miniaturized rail cannons on the right arm, capable of seriously damaging most targets and overcoming lightsaber defenses [with physical projectile ammunition]. Also has strong durasteel armor chassis plating, and deceptive strength, capable of shattering limbs and punching through being's chests with relative ease.
SOCIAL INFORMATION
  • Name: FIII-2A [aka 'Fee-too' or 'Pilot' or 'Droid']
  • Loyalties: Fanatical loyalty to Darth Excidium; secondary loyalty to Excidium's Apprentices; tertiary loyalty to Sith Empire [second and third loyalties do not override first]
  • Notable Possessions: Fee-Too doesn't own personal possessions, but has a distinctly developed care for its master's ship, the Ruin. Fee-Too cleans and maintains it consistently as though it were its own. Within a concealed torso partition is Darth Excidium's backup lightsaber.
  • Personality: Fee-Too has a masculine personality. For the most part, Fee-Too has developed a caring personality, no small part in response to its masters personality - which is distant, often clinical and mostly blunt. In order to better serve, Fee-Too has learned to develop personality traits that are opposite its master, to provide any mannerisms the master may be unable - or unwilling - to display. The droid also takes a form of pride in cleaning and maintaining the Ruin, as that has become Fee-Too's main responsibility to its master - protecting the ship, being its engineer, acting as pilot and also being a bodyguard when needed. Sometimes, the master calls on Fee-Too to perform dangerous tasks, such as assassination or infiltration and spying; this is when Fee-Too's emotion chip is deactivated and it becomes a cold, silent killer like the legendary models hundreds of years prior.
  • Combat Function: Primarily, Fee-Too is a pilot, engineer and ship guard. Being a Class-Four assassin droid, anyone unfortunate enough to try to steal or sneak aboard the Ruin will be met with one of the most prolific assassin droid types from the Clone Wars. Using its combat programming and armament, Fee-Too is also able to function as a combat member for Excidium, or even perform assassination or infiltration tasks when commanded.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Darth Excidium has always been a seeker of knowledge, often procuring items from the past whether with credits or simply by taking them. When one of his contacts alerted him to a droid from the Clone Wars era, the Sith Lord suspected there was potential that the droid had memory logs or information about the Jedi of the time. After reaching an agreement, the droid was delivered to Excidium's possession, where he then used the services of a splicer to access the droids internal systems. Though the process only offered mild glimpses into the period, there was an interesting development when the splicer stumbled on the FIII droids combat models - which were still relatively advanced, and clearly indicated how specialized the droid had been during the Clone Wars. Additionally, only a few select components and systems needed updating.

Seeing the potential of having a personal assassin droid, Excidium paid the splicer to repair, reactivate the sub-routines and reboot the droid. On activation, FIII-2A immediately requested master identification, to which Excidium presented himself for scanning and biometric sequencing. When the droid finished, it informed the Sith Lord of its now unwavering loyalty and readiness for command... and so, not wanting to risk leaving a weakness to be exploited in the droid, Excidium tortured the splicer extensively - suspecting he had done what splicers generally do - until he admitted to having a backdoor in the sub-systems for access to protect himself from the Sith's potential betrayal.

Forcing the splicer to remove it, Excidium then demanded system upgrades to account for the subterfuge. Piloting, engineering and catering programs were installed, rounding out Fee-Too's service package. And for good measure, the splicer upgraded the armor plating and rail cannons, just to avoid the Sith enacting revenge for the betrayal. It didn't matter. Excidium killed the tech and took both his credits and his prize, returning to Sith Empire space. He didn't want to leave a loose end.

From that day on, Fee-Too - or simply 'droid' - has remained a loyal possession of Darth Excidium, primarily serving as his pilot, ship engineer and ship guard. And on occassion, Fee-Too has performed assassinations and spying tasks, all willingly and to its utmost capabilities for its one, true master, Darth Excidium...
