BIOGRAPHY:

Ferris Skirata was born on Taris, far from the battlefields and clans that once gave his family name weight. His mother carried the Skirata bloodline, but by her time it was little more than a footnote. Generations had passed without armor or creed, and Ferris grew up in the middle tiers of the city where people worked the docks, patched up ships, and scraped together what they could. He never knew anything else.

What he did know was machinery. Ferris had a knack for it early on, taking things apart, fixing them, making old parts run just a little longer than they should. While other kids were chasing swoops or throwing fists in back alleys, Ferris had grease on his hands and tools in his pockets. It wasn't glamorous, but it kept him busy and, more importantly, useful.

When the Gravesong War tore through Taris, all of that stability was burned away. His mother and younger sister were lost in the chaos, and Ferris was left to fend for himself among the ruins. He survived the only way he could, mending weapons, stripping wreckage for parts, and keeping himself and a few other strays armed well enough to see another day. By the time a Mandalorian warband swept the city for survivors, Ferris was already half a scavenger, half a mechanic.

They recognized his name first, but it was his hands that earned their attention. The Skirata clan had a history of taking in foundlings and misfits, and Ferris fit both. He didn't step into a legacy so much as trip over it, dragged back into a culture he'd only heard about in fragments. Now, carrying the name his family had let go of, Ferris works to prove himself in his own way, not as the strongest or the loudest, but as the one who builds, fixes, and makes sure the others survive.

It's been a few months and he now finds himself awkwardly trying to fit in with the other young Mandalorians.
