OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
· Name: Flesh Collar
· Intent: To make up for a deficiency in population upon the remote world of Ghul in the areas of industry, manufacturing, basic labor, and war.

PRODUCTION INFORMATION
· Manufacturer: The Ruling Council of Ghul (State-sponsored)
· Model: FC-1A
· Production: Mass-Produced
· Affiliation: Abelain Narv’uk, The Ruling Council of Ghul, Open Market to the CSA.
· Modularity: Additional programmable commands could be implemented into FC-1A. These commands would need to be encoded and programmed by their owner and inserted manually into the FC-1A.
· Material: Durasteel, Electronic Components, Fractional portions of other minor metallic substances as necessary.
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
· Classification: Fourth and Fifth Degree functionality.
· Weight: 4.5 Kg
· Height: 1.3 Meters
· Movement: Dependent on host form. Electric stimulation of individual muscle groups. Internal movement via smooth, digitless appendages.
· Armaments: None equipped during manufacturing.
· Misc. Equipment: Basic sensory apparatus to make up for distinct lack of sensory organs following gradual decomposition of host form.

SPECIAL FEATURES
· Capable of accurate movement of dead muscle groups using electric stimulation.
· Control of dead bodies via insertion from back of neck
· Gradual replacement of decomposing flesh material with organic substances derived from original host tissue.
· Powered via Solar energy. Supplemented by burning of biological material.

Strengths:
· Mortal Reminder: The FC-1A uses corpses as a host for most of its locomotive action and function. This makes it particularly imposing when used in a military operation as it is quite possible an enemy combatant will find themselves facing down the corpse of their deceased allies.

· Dual Power System: Use of two separate means of power generation mean that the FC-1A effectively never runs out of battery life.

· Thoughtless: The FC-1A for all of its perceived thought is a very dull machine, incapable of heuristic thought, or conscious consideration. This makes it perfect for the purpose of morally-bankrupt schemes or against opponents who rely upon rational thought or emotional pleas.

· Painless: The FC-1A has no more resistance to conventional weaponry as any other humanoid, but it does not feel, and therefore is unaffected by weapons meant to torture or psychologically harm. Simultaneously, the FC-1A is excellent at binding together internal systems so that they can continue to function, making it rather difficult to cripple a host form.

· Programmable Training: The FC-1A may easily be taught several fighting styles with a simple download of coded material into its mind.

· Host Familiarity: The FC-1A has a complete diagnostic understanding of its host form, and will never make mistakes as to its capabilities. The machine recognizes the exact speed with which it can perform any given task, the exact musculature it is necessary to exert to achieve any given goal, and the total resistances of its physicality.

· Ion-Schmion: Due to the use of organic hosts and the subsequent resistances created by using flesh to Ion technology, the FC-1A is highly resistant to short-circuiting unless stricken directly.

· Timeless: The gradual replacement of decaying and absorbed flesh into artificially constructed organic materials means that the FC-1A will long outlast the form of its original host, eventually becoming nothing more than a stitchwork monstrosity of metal and faux flesh.

Weaknesses:
· Mortal Reminder: The FC-1A is an abomination. It uses the corpses of others to achieve its goals, and thereby earns the spite and disgust of those who find such methods to be repulsive. Worse yet, the gradual decomposition of the host’s physical form does little to appease those already disgusted by the creation.

· Basic: The coding of the FC-1A is quite basic, and therefore subject to easy hacking of core systems. To combat this, each wave of the designed machine is programmed with subtle differences, meaning that a single virus would be incapable of destroying the entire workforce.

· Thoughtless: Due to the inability of the FC-1A to think creatively, it will never attempt to find alternative means of accomplishing an objective than what it was ordered. Given general enough orders (Attack that, Destroy this), it is quite feasible that an entire group of FC-1A will attempt the exact same maneuvers.

· Manual Installation Required: As of now, the FC-1A is incapable of installing itself, and must be placed within a corpse manually either by another FC-1A, or by a sentient being in a specialized facility.

· Lumbering: The strange method of locomotion used by the FC-1A lends it a lumbering and unsteady gait and general movement. This means that the host of FC-1A will typically move slower than a living being.

· Humanoid: The FC-1A is designed only for compatibility with humanoid beings, and is currently unable of operating within quadruped or other more animalistic life forms.

DESCRIPTION:

The Flesh Collar Version 1, Variation A was originally conceived by a particularly ambitious technologist named Eryn Croat. The feasibility of the grotesque idea and the subsequent design flaws that followed any attempts at implementing the machinery meant that his thoughts were denied or outright suppressed wherever possible. Upon the demolition and diaspora of the One Sith government whom Croat had served for several years as a field medic, Croat was present aboard the Imperator; one of a pair of frigates which joined the larger Paladin in retreating to the far reaches of the galaxy.

The ships returned to the home world of their Sith commander, Abelain Narv’uk, and promptly found themselves faced with a hostile environment, and a particularly xenophobic people. Pleas from the Sith to the Ruling Council of Ghul eventually led to the allowance of the former soldiers to begin construction of their own settlement. During this time, the Ghullen; the name granted to the soldiers, began to grow more acquainted with their new environment, and the natural phenomena which threatened them. Encounters with local wildlife led to several injuries and fatalities on the part of the ignorant newcomers, and Croat was promoted to the rank of Sergeant for his service in healing the wounded.

Gradually, the settlement began to flourish, much to the amazement of the local Arue’tii, and the establishment was given the name “Stronghold” in reference to its being a final bastion for ex-One Sith and Imperial sympathizers. Nevertheless, tensions continued to grow between the immigrant Ghullen and the native population of the world, and occasional non-violent clashes began to steadily increase with worry on both sides that violent action would soon follow and plunge the two groups into all-out war.

Taking notice of the economic hardship created by the low population of the Arue’tii people, believing that by assisting them, he might mend the relationship between the two groups, Eryn Croat approached his commanding officer and relayed the general ideas for the first Flesh Collar. Narv’uk, uncertain of the technical application and lacking in general knowledge of the technology, but seeing the potential use for such a device granted Croat access to engineering supplies, the ship’s morgue, and a team of experts who would assist him in seeing his dream to fruition.

Several months passed with the final device having been designed and prepared. A fresh corpse was located, and the machine was implanted within the makeshift laboratory that Croat and his team had used for the duration of the project. Initial tests focused entirely upon basic locomotive ability, and then graduated into steadily more advanced displays of ability until finally the FC-1A had been created in earnest.

Introduction of the machines to the Ruling Council were met with awe and surprise from the comparatively primitive peoples of Ghul, and there was rapid demand for the machines from the Council for the sake of rectifying many logistical issues throughout the world. Croat struck an agreement with the Council to continue supplying them with FC-1As so long as the Ghullen of Stronghold were granted equitable treatment and rights equivalent to that of the Arue’tii. Grudgingly, the more outspokenly xenophobic members of the Council were hushed to silence by the majority, and the agreement was stricken. Corpses were subsequently taken from across the galaxy wherever possible, and quietly transported back to the world with little regard as to their original condition.

Now, FC-1As are used across the world for both labor and combat, capable of protecting both the citizens of the world from the dangerous creatures of the world, and subsequently allowing for a level of production unseen for several hundred years.

Apologies, but the sheer possibilities of this device in RP, let alone the fact that it's mass-produced, prevent me from being able to pass this through. Even at lower levels of production, it still allows someone, in theory, to 'reanimate' anybody they wish and command them around as if they had never died in the first place, which honestly should just be confined to Sith magic and the Blackwing Plague.
