Intent: To create a flamethrower for use against personnel.
Development Thread: [None]
Manufacturer: Reclaimer Arms & Industrial; ECHO Esprit
Model: FAV-1 Flamethrower
Affiliation: The Rebel Alliance; The Galactic Republic
Modularity: [None]
Production: Mass-produced
Material: Dallorian alloy; Carbo-plas; FrictionGrip
Classification: Flamethrower
Size: Handheld
Length: 520mm without canister; 554mm with canister
Weight: 3.24kg without canister; 4.30kg with canister
Ammunition Type: Cardinam canister
Ammunition Capacity: 120 seconds per canister
Effective Range: 30 meters
Rate of Fire: Constant with trigger compression
Special Feature:
  • Heat-resistant casing
  • Waterproof and weatherproof
  • Quick and easy reloading
Description: With the development of Agent Cardinam completed, it was time to put it to use in the wars against the Sith and their allies with their beasts and organic technology.

The FAV-1 projects a stream of diluted Cardinam ignited on emission, immolating organic and non-organic victims alike with this sticky, flammable gel from up to thirty meters away. While perhaps not the most versatile weapon, it is frighteningly effective when the user is able to get in range.

Reloading is quick and simple. A few revolutions of the screw-in Cardinam canister are all it takes for ammunition refills on the fly. It must be noted, however, that a direct hit on a filled canister can result in serious injury and probable death to the user.

Alright. How does this not clog? Also, if the fuel source is combustible when exposed to air, how does this weapon hold up to damage and field conditions?

The weapon itself holds up fine. Dallorian Alloy is resistant to the heat. I suppose a direct hit on a filled canister would probably not end well for the gunner, though.

Mkay. I missed the word "diluted" in the description. My bad.

Go ahead and add what happens if the canister is breached to the description and we'll move right along.

Mkay. Approved pending secondary. Abuse and suffer the wrath of Popo on chili night.

(FYI, post chili night burns hotter than thermite.)
