Description:
Made of sturdy durasteel to allow it to take a few hits, with agrinium mesh to help mitigate the effects of Ion and EMP attacks, as well as a military mobility shield for when all else fails and a patients life is on the line, the First Aid Unit Version One, or FAU-V1 is what you want on your side in a prolonged fight where casualties are guaranteed.

The FAU-V1's main purpose is to retrieve injured individuals from front lines and provide immediate emergency medical treatment. If casualties are light, or there are enough FAU-V1s on the front line they can provide top of the line care to match any other medical droid, however their programming ensures that their priority is saving the most lives possible, if this requires possibly avoidable amputation, or quick and dirty treatment that is more likely to scar, so be it. In a high casualty environment, the FAU-V1's will retrieve, patch and leave patients at designated safe zones before moving on to the next patient. Under light fire the FAU-V1 will keep the gurney horizontal while moving so it can operate at the same time. Under heavy fire it will raise the gurney to a more protected vertical position.

The FAU-V1, continuing it's trend of being able to get its patient home under intense adversity was equipped with tripedal locomotion with the intent of being bale to limp home on two legs if necessary. Its build makes it capable of maneuvering over debris with ease, though it cannot climb vertical surfaces, nor does this model have aquatic capabilities.

The Class Four subroutines are seen only in it's ability to analyze troop formations and fire to predict the best route to get to and remove a patient. It is not a battle droid.

Modularity Expansion:
In theory a unit could be coated in a heavier duty plating for service in a heavy-fire area, but this would be on a small scale, ie 1-10 units and would need to be devved out individually.

*Less than a smart car, seems like a lot, but the comparison is apt
** Allowing that that platform can easily accomodate at least a 6 foot tall being
